How many would like lighter draw, more airflow for VK batteries?

Would you like a lighter draw, a heavier draw, both, or just keep it the same?

  • I would like a lighter draw than the current batteries.

  • I would like a harder draw than the current batteries.

  • I think the current draw is perfect.

  • I would like to have both options available.

Ever since our first set of batteries waaayyy back last April, Steve and I have been trying to replicate the performance of those originals, and I think we've finally done it.

But now, I'm having second thoughts.

The originals had a much lighter draw, and greater airflow. We think that helped create more vapor, and kept the components cooler, which resulted in greater longevity. Some of those originals are still alive and kicking today; I've been using one for testing all week.

I have one extra long and two shorties with the greater ariflow, and personally I am loving them. But some of you have already complained about the current shorties being too light a draw, and have used the toothpick trick to reduce the airflow. SO, I am putting up this poll.

How many of you want a lighter draw, how many want a heavier draw, and how many think the current draw is perfect?

(And to anticipate, yes, having models with heavier and lighter draws is an option we are considering, but we would prefer for all our batteries to be consistent.)

a week ago i would have said a harder draw... i didn't love the current shortie, and it didn't feel like 'smoking'. now, though, i don't care about 'smoking' to the extent that i did (i know, after only a couple weeks vaping? well, there ya have it.) the only reason i'd like a lighter draw is not for comfort but because i am taking much *longer* draws to make more vapor/have better-warmer-flavor, so a lighter draw would even that out. but i'm pretty content with the current manuals so... whatevs. i'll buy whatever you guys make as long as it works.

I greatly prefer manual batteries over the autos. I don't mind the current draw on the manuals, although it could be a little lighter (which is what I voted).

However, if we're talking auto batteries, the only auto I have is an auto PT I got as a freebie. That definitely needs to have a lighter draw. I've also tried a auto XL battery belonging to a friend of mine, same thing - needs more air ;-)

For some of you who are having trouble with too tight of a draw on your batteries, try cleaning out the little air holes under the threads.

Sometimes even a brand new battery will have clogged holes. Use a needle or pin (push pin works great) to clear those holes.

Exactly what I was thinking before reading your post. The batteries do vary some but even then I have found that the draw gets tighter with any given battery if you don't clean it now and then. I also think some of the issue is one of perception if you aren't getting satisfaction.

I vote for a lighter draw. As the batteries are used, the draw gets harder and harder and I am aware one can clean the holes. But no matter how hard I try, cleaning only works so good. The holes are fairly easy to clean, but that trough on the inside is almost impossible to clean. Which hurts the airflow no matter how much the holes are cleaned. For me, the draw on the XL autos is too hard even when they are brand new.

Hmmmm. I have a new manual passthru and the draw is perfect! But I also have two of the old shorties that I never use because I feel like I'm sucking through a straw to get them to even activate! I feel with the real light draw I don't get nearly enough vapor because I can only draw in for 3 seconds or so because I'll getting so much air because of how light the draw is. Maybe its just me because everyone else is seeming to like the lighter draws?
