Started messing around with Tobacco at around 14. Picked up full smoking (half a pack a day) at 18 as soon as I went to college. I am now 19, so I've been "smoking" for five years but only heavily for about a year. Its so hard not to pick up smoking in college, which is where most people do. One of my friends at school had an e cig, which everyone wanted to try out. It was pretty new to most people and interesting at the time. Everyone loved it. Pretty soon, students left and right were picking up vaping. One guy tells another guy about vaping who tells another guy about vaping and so on, its an ongoing chain reaction, which is great. Somebody introduced me to vaping, so now I introduce co-workers and friends to vaping as well.

I wanna thank him for introducing me to vaping, because if he hadn't, I know I wouldn't have been able to quit smoking for years. I've tried quitting cold turkey, that didn't work. I tried quitting with nic gum, but that made it worse. Vaping did it for me! I am thankful that electronic cigarettes exist now, at my age (19), because otherwise I could be in my 40's, 50's, etc with decades of smoking under my belt.

Ok I was 10 years old when I started smoking. I am 58 years old right now and just quit 4 months ago. First month I smoked 2 cigarettes and that was it haven't had another since. That adds up to me smoking for 47 years. and not proud of it at all. But the up side is I am proud that I no longer smoke and smell bad.

I started smoking at 22-24. Hard to point out exactly when I "started". I did experiment drags way before that but never succeed in getting any high/sickness. Might have been passive smoking from family and friends since very young, giving me a higher resistance to nicotine. I seriously never had any problem in sitting throught layers of smoke in outdoor or indoor environments. Mostly ...... at people for their own health.

Initially as drug seeking curiosity ("people wouldn't be smoking if it wasn't giving something") which was kind of fine (weekend/light smoking)... and then turned into 3 pads during the last tense periods of university. After 5 years, I just realized that I wasn't getting any high but relieving an addiction and the health risks were not even worth it. 3 more years of trying to quit (my record was 2 weeks, and I was screaming with everyone :D ) until I found out about vaping.
