Here in Michigan cigs are 60 a carton. In the lasts two months I could have spent $480 on them. Instead I spent that amount on an IPV 2s, spinner 2, 2 Nautilus minis and Atlantis tanks and the rest on enough juice for the previous two months and the next 2 months. Going forward I'd like to keep consumables under a dollar a day. I'll buy hardware when I see the merits.

My wish list includes a dna40 mod where a removable battery and the tank of my choice can be mounted by side with nickel coil heads for the tank. I'd also like to be doing DIY juice.

Annual cost for cigs was almost $3,000. vaping could be 15% of that with DIY but I'm sure I'll buy some hardware.

I live in Ohio, overtime I go to MI I make sure to buy cigs from here. Your guys' taxes are out of control on cigs!

I used to spend $176/mo on cigarettes. (pk a day)

When I first started vaping, I probably spent at least that much, since I was acquiring a lot of new hardware, batteries, charger(s), etc, but in the last few months, it's been between $50-$100 a month. The greatest thing I've found about vaping is that if the money is tight, I can get by with as little as $50/mo; if there is more money, then I can spend more, but I don't just HAVE TO, as I did with cigarettes. Which means there's more for food, which is a very good thing, since every damn thing at the grocery store has just gone up and up and up and up...

I do a pretty good job of keeping the spending low. I only get shinyitis when there's a killer deal. (Apolo's free juice or vaporkings vivi novas for $2.95 lol) and I'm fine with ego batteries they work for me. I spend about $30 a month on juice and coils.

I don't rebuild the could or DIY juice so I know I could save more but its not worth it to me right now.

I remember the days of buying a pack of smokes out of a vending machine for like .50-.75c. I quit smoking in 2008 and started vaping around 2010.

When I first started vaping I was spending easily $75/mo for the juice alone. So glad those days are over.

I Have started diy juice & coils. Initial cost for all kanthal, cotton, 2l vg and 1l of unflavored nicotine with an ohm reader and battteries was around $100-150. But now I should be spending pennies a month for all i'm doing on my own for quite some time.

I don't care all that much, I am nic & tobacco free!.. at least that's what I keep telling myself.

But I would estimate, about 500-700EUR a month, for 3 months strait now...
I bought some dear gear, exotic mods, exotic rda's, rta's, vaporizers for dry herbs, tried all the major import e-liquids from the US also.

I think I am done now though!,
My woman even makes me my own E-liquid, so expenses should be next to nothing,
Plus all the hardware just looks like the dogs nuts, even if I never use it again, makes for a nice display unit!

Way too much!

Starting from scratch is expensive though. I'm hoping spending will slow down a bit now that I've found gear and juice that I like.

Don't think I've actually spent more than I would have on analogs though (not really sat down and done the sums), but it must be pretty close.

But at least my money spent has not been going up in smoke. Or killing me. And it's been a whole lot of fun, a wide learning curve and a whole new world has opened up to me.

So I think it is money well spent.

Happy vaping. :)

eta:- Just realised my banner adds up roughly what I would have spent on cigarettes. So yeah I've probably spent a similar amount on vaping over the last 8 - 9 weeks. But I shouldn't have to spend anymore until well into the New Year.

I spent a LOT early on - getting my feet wet, buying new devices/tanks/LOTS of juices. Over the summer, I learned to rebuild and make my own juice. September, bought a few Nautilus tanks and a Sigelei Zmax V3 and batteries. Bought a Vamo V6, more batteries and some Protank 2s with airflow controllers (most of my original tanks were EVODs, and that's what I build the most.) Last month, bought a few more PT2s and airflow controllers. So far this month - NOTHING.

I was just under a pack a day, and figured smokes would have cost me a little over $1200 by this point. My "goal" is to not buy anything until my vapaversary (in March). That could mean upwards of $400 on "vape goodies" for me!!!!! But, there's really nothing out there tripping my trigger that I "HAVE" to have, except maybe some different drip tips (but at $2-4/each, I could probably wing a few of them :D )

Hey there!
Well, a heck of a lot less than I spent on smoking that's for sure but it depends on how lazy I am. If I'm vaping my RTA (Eleaf Lemo) a lot, pretty cheap. If I'm vaping my Nautilus Mini I tend to spend more since replacement coils are on the expensive side. I try not to spend over $100 a month but sometimes I have to treat myself to a nice new atty and I go over that amount. :D

After I buy some new stuff I think I'm done spending for awhile. Then I see some good deals in the Deals and Steals thread and I just can't resist some of them. I spent about $500 in the first 3 months. Some months I spend ~$50 some months ~$150 or more. I've probably spent $2000 in the past 8 months. Luckily, I don't have a need or desire for high-end devices or juice. I've also started DIY juice which is a lot cheaper.

I did not start vaping to save money, I started it to hopefully save my life. Early on I read somewhere you could save and tried that for a while, no fun.

I spent around 400$ per month on tobacco. Most months I spend less than that on vaping.

No tobacco for over a year. Bills still getting paid, I am having a blast. That is all that matters.
