I'm an unexpected hobbyist and enthusiast, particularly as regards spending. Fortunately, my wife got into vaping the same day I did. I'm constantly buying her new gear (I'm a giver). Any extras I seem to be able to use just fine. It took months to get her from an ego to an Anyvape CVI 1. That was, of course, after getting the ego 650 to 1000 mah's, to spinners/twists, and then to ego V's. It's an effort but I'm getting her there. For me, the adjustment to better equipment has been easier....seems to come natural. I just go with the flow. Fortunately, I smoked so much in my previous life that I almost cannot spend more than I smoked, but I am drawing the line at deficit spending. That limits me to about $20 per day, and her about $5 per day, so If I keep my spending in check at about $25 per day, I'm doing good I think. I had thought initially that vaping would save me a bunch of money. That's simply not true. Spend a little time finding the top 20 or 25 best vendors out there and you'll discover that you're lacking a whole bunch of stuff that you'll have to commit time and effort to understanding and using and becoming a more experienced and educated vaper, like you veterans here at ECF. I suppose it's a labor of love, and a requirement to stay off the stinky's. I got close to getting ahead once, then I decided DIYing my juice would save me even more money. I now have about 150 flavors and I suck at making flavors that I'll actually vape. But I can make anything, at any time if the whim hits me. We each have a favorite though. How many backup mods do I need? I don't know, but I'm not there yet, I don't think. One can never be too careful...smoking was a b___h to quit. Taking no chances. I may be able to quit vaping now and just buy the gear. Buying the gear seems to not only help me from smoking, but might get me off vaping eventually. That way I can be addiction free. I can only thank all of you for helping me to see the light! I couldn't have made it without you. You're the best!

I started with a simple ego and two clearomizers starter kit from a local shop for 50$ with 30ml of juice for free. I have since upgraded to a Smok Zmax V2 with a Kanger Protank setup and about 10 other bottles of juice. I'd say probably in the neighborhood of 350$ so far and I've been vaping for around 3 months. I'm looking into getting a Provari V2.5 when I get the funds and another eGo basic setup for when I go out

In six weeks: $480.00
Equipment: $310.00
Liquids: $170.00

That's included:
3 Twists
3 T3 cleamoizers
2 M3 clearomizers
1 Vivi Nova Mini metal
6 dripping atomizers - 2 of which were designed just for dripping
1 Joye eRoll kit

Assorted accessories:
replacement heads
drip shields
drip tips
connectors
cones
etc.

For juice, so far have tried samples or full-size from:
Mount Baker Vapor
Heather's Heavenly Vapes
Black Velvet e-juice
Johnson Creek
Niquid

I've spent WAY more than intended, and I still smoke. But the $$ I have spent is motivating me to at least stick to my plan for cutting back on the analogs.

Each day I get a daily "allowance" of analogs that I place in a cigarette case. The $$ I have spent keeps me from cheating on that plan.

Really need to settle down now and just use what I've got. Have received everything in the mail except the eRoll, which should be here next week.

I saw this and thought how I wonder how much I have spent after three years of vaping. Just on devices I've spent close to 1500. Way more than I thought I would when I started this, but you know, you start off and then you are like wow that's cool, buy, oh that's awesome I need one of those, buy... I don't think it will ever end. I just got a new Zen so that was a big chunk there. Crazy to think about.

I'm glad I finally joined this place.

Around $800 thus far too many options out there and where to start batteries clearomizers cartomizers too drip or not too drip commercial ejuices DIY juice luckily ecf has been there all the way guiding me along all the way sometimes I would read posts after an order and have an  moment.

I know what you mean. I bought a battery charger about a year ago and now I have so many different size batteries I'm gonna have to get another just to charge everything. I wish I had asked around and bought a six bay instead of a two bay, like I saw on a thread.
