My wife and I bought about $200 worth of stuff a few years ago but it ended up in a cardboard box in a closet. In the last month we've hit $617.42! On the flip side she and I both have backups even for the backups and enough juice (around 1000 ml), silica wick (about 100 feet, various sizes), kanthal wire (440+ ft, various gauges) and stainless steel mesh to cover us for at least a year if all the vendors closed their doors tomorrow for some reason ;)

Purchases should now go down quite a bit. Breaking even? We were both smoking around $200 a month, EACH. Now that we are both entirely off the stinkies AND have a large enough investment to keep us interested in staying that way we could actually start saving money by the end of next month.

My husband and I use Apollo, ECDirect and some Chinese batteries and clearomizers.
Plus I also have one little battery from UK
From US, UK and China.
I find standard/unregulated eGo batteries quite enough to take me from point A (smoking) to point B (not smoking) and that was the general idea when I started. Husband vapes Apollo VV.

Cartomizers CE4, sometimes Mini ViVi Nova, clearomizer 510 and I'm all set. E-liquids: Dekang (Ch), Flavourart (Italy), Smoker's Angel Halo e-liquid (UK). 2ml e-liquid a day (instead of PAD lights Marlboro).

With these vaping habits, the price I pay is 2.5 times less than what I remember paying for tobacco cigarettes. Pretty good deal.

$370 on devices only. That is not bad considering I have 3 bottom feeders, an eVic and 2 twists (I use these to lend out to new vapers) and a fistful of kGo batts. I wait for sales and blems and have plenty to keep from being bored. The only thing I would still like to purchase at this point are a couple more Grands and a couple VV Grands (I like bottom feeders).

I spent about 200 on a cigalike and refill carts and some disposables (which i'm currently using)
and about 70 on a spinner 1300 and 4 tanks, 30 on some juice from mt baker, and 14 on juice from AIV.

I'm planning on purchasing some attys and driptips, probably some cartos, kanger pro, and picking a clearo I like.
I also will probably pickup a larger VV for home use, and probably 1-2 smaller batts for work, and I need a case :)

Going to keep using my cigalikes at work for a bit while I play with my spinner at home....then see where the path takes me :)
oh, and I expect i'll buy a few more of the disposables from the cigalike company...they really are quite good. perfect for keeping in my laptop bag/desk incase of battery/juice emergencies. lol.

My mom is coming to visit in a month (another 300 spent! family only seems to visit when I pay. LOL) because she is going to my re-mediation with my ex (-5K right now. fun times) and she's been smoking for nearly 50 years now. She started when she was 9! She smoked during all 4 of her pregnancies....and my dad talks about her brushing ashes off my cheek while I was nursing. Ew.
Going to try hard to convert her during her visit....and will probably end up passing on the cigalike or buying her a setup. Cuz i'm just that way. :)

9 !!!!!!!!!!!........ Wow !

just over 4 weeks in and I'm at about $410 (batteries, tanks, carriers, lots and lots of juice...). as a pack-a-day+ smoker in NJ ($8 to $9/pack), i'm about $100 in the hole right now, but i have enough juice to last me for a few months easily. if i didn't spend another dime on this hobby i'd be in the black in a couple weeks...but i know myself and i love this hobby, so i'm sure i'll be spending liberally for weeks/months to come.

Maybe give us an update in a few weeks !:D

Well, to get myself to where I needed to be for a long term vaper, in one week (since Saturday April 6th, also the last analog I smoked), I have spent (not including shipping and possible taxes) about $320 give or take $5.

I may have over done it a bit, but I think it will be worth it in the long run.
I should be set, I just need a couple more things that will run me about $30 or so.

I expect that I will need to replace one or both Ego Twists I got in the next 2 to 3 months (possibly with something else, though I like these).

I should break completely even by August at the soonest. after that, I should be completely in the black over analogs going forward.

I sat down and figured it out...it was a shocker, as I expected. I fiddled around a bit before I found the device(s) that I like. That said, if I took the same money and bought cigarettes, I'd be in the red by 3 cartons, so overall, I'm not too unhappy about it.

Now that I'm stocked with juice and tanks (well, I need a couple more), next month should get me into the black and keep me there.
