Been at it a few months and I believe the amount is defined as "Shocking", but I got hooked on mech mods early, nzonic v3, zenesis2, etc and had to try everything. On the plus side, I have a mini store of things and have set up several people with gear, juice etc. Felt like a pusher doing drop offs of juice at offices (here you go, try this). The best though, was seeing the reaction of my cousin when I sent her this little care package from my juice collection to tide her and her husband over post crappy Oklahoma weather. What's money really matter when it comes to helping friends and family.

You are so right about the money vs. friends and family Zen !
And what a nice care package (Vapemail) you sent them...
Well done !

This is all a matter of how you work the vaping. If you are a hobbyist, you'll spend a lot more than someone like
me. I only have from a whole year, is 1 Blu starter kit (yeah, it was the beginning), 2 650 mah eGo batteries, cartos that I don't use
much now, 3 eGo 1000 mah batteries, 2 Vivi Novas, and 2 Stardusts, and replacement heads for the Vivi's (10). That's IT. I spend about $100 every 3-4 months on juice. I don't go crazy. I've saved a LOT of money from when I smoked analogs.

So it all depends on how you go at it. I don't have to have the latest and greatest, just what works for me and I'm happy. :)

hahahaha after less than 1 month i am reaching the $1000 mark, but this is to be used in the future, red Provari, silver vein Altsmoke Omega 8 different carto tanks, cartos, juices............. its not cheap, and i try to buy american only, so in my endeavor to be healthy and make it so my vapes dont let me down and let the nagging cigs get me back, i spend now to avoid doctors later, plus its the initial investments that will be no expenditures later.

I decided to start making Diy liquids. Got 50ml of VG 72mg, 100ml plain VG, 10ml capella flavouring - ginger bread, 10ml ethyl maltol, 10ml and 5ml syringes. Total £23.56. Should get it through the post tomorrow. Just for good measure i've mixed 5gm of tobacco with some Vg and i'm leaving it to steep for a month or so, see how that goes. Should save a bit of money i hope !:)

I've been pretty conservative with hardware purchases. I think my current out-of-pocket is around $175, including replacement materials for consumables, over the last six weeks. That's gotten me four eGo batteries (two 650's, one 900 and one 1100), two EVOD tanks, two MT3 tanks, three CE4 disposable clear tanks and a pack of heads for each of the two different tank models. By this time next week, that $175 will increase to about $220, as I have another 1100 battery and three new EVOD's coming, along with some other assorted stuff.

I have spent another $80 or so on juice, which will bring my total "investment" up to $300, which is still about $50 to the good when compared to analogs I haven't smoked since my 18-year old's high school graduation, some six weeks ago.

According to my wife, TOO MUCH!

I ordered a Super-T ELA, and all the goodies with it (Kick, batteries, tank etc., so this alone is going to be over $300 by the time I'm done with the build.

I have other PVs I've gotten over time, but nothing as nice as the ELA.

I would hate to know what some collectors have spent. I see some guys signature with a TON of mechs and VV/VW PVs!

My style of vaping is simple, buy a good PV, get it set how I like it, and enjoy it. To me, buying dozens of PVs is just a waste of money. Let's face it, unless you are a collector, they all do about the same thing... heat up a coil and produce vapor! :vapor:

Your wife is right though, right ?. :)

After this weekends online order, I'm up over $200 in hardware. And after last night Alice order, over $100 in juice.

It doesn't sound like much till I include two points -

#1, I just started this last week.

#2, I'm not really a smoker - I just wanted to social vape during card games and such with friends who are smokers.

I'm a tech-geek, and I love learning stuff. So to me, learning, and hunting down the coolest hardware is all part of the adventure.

So you are a non smoker who took up vaping. I think you are the first and only person i know of to do that. :)

Wow, I hate to think about how much I have spent thus far. Plus I have only been vaping since 5/25/13 with my wife starting a week before me.

I started with an ego-c upgrade, vision clearo and some juice. My wife the same. In the past month I have bought alot of juice, more clearo's, 2 protanks, a mini nova, 2 evods, replacement heads and more juice including the more expensive gourmet types. Then I started online orders to get diy juice and supplies, more replacement heads (cheaper online) and then some adapters for the vamo I just bought 3 days ago.

Heck, just the other week I was in my local B&M 4 days out of the week. And here I thought about all the money I was going to save not buying analogs anymore. At least the good part, the reason I tell myself it's ok to spend what I have, is the fact both my wife and I are analog free already. My wife 3.5 weeks and myself for 1.5 weeks. I still even have 1 carton and 3 packs of analogs left over that I bought the same day my wife started vaping. Normally I bought 2 cartons every 10 to 14 days.

So, what shall I buy next?

You could buy some vg or pg or both and break your remaining cigs into it and leave it in a cupboard for a few weeks. The end product, after filtering, would be a flavour concentrate you could use for diy liquid.
