I was a heavy smoker. Spent about $300 on cigarettes a month. Most months I don't even spend half that on vaping, often under $100. I started and have stayed with the 901, that's helped keep the cost down.

I expect that as the government figures out how to slap a tax on us we'll start seeing our prices rise, don't you?

Look at this way, well more like how much i "saved" already.

i Spent $150.00 on tons of juices, carts ,spare atties, have 4 batteries etc.

i would spend about 13.00 a day on cigs (dumarier)

only been vaping for 4 days now, having 1 - 3 real cigs a day (1morning , 1 night, 1 if reeeeally stressed the ....... out.)

Thats $52.00 saved in only 4 days. one more week, will have made everything back. and STILL have like 2 MONTHS of vaping left to do

Cost per ml = 5 cents

This figure does not take into account any flavorings you may add, but if purchased in a reasonable (not microscopic) size, you should be able to smoke for less than 20 cents per day for your liquid. Cartomizer/fluxomizer costs should cost no more than 50 cents per day.

Thus, for less than $1 per day you should be able to vape comfortably.

I have to echo a lot of the previous posts, it depends on how much you smoked, your location and how crazy you will go with trying everything I personally have not 'saved' money as I wasn't a heavy smoker to begin with but it is a new hobby for me and I still love trying new things and experimenting. That being said I have calmed down a lot lately and found a good setup and juice that works for me so I have reached a 'manageable' expenditure.

Definitely keep an eye on the classifieds, suppliers forums and come 'holiday' times those discount threads, it can save you a lot of money. Also, try and keep your gear in good condition because you can always sell what you have fallen out of love with in the classifieds section and some of your purchases can make you some money back.... can't say that about analogs!

While I haven't necessarily saved money (yet), my health is taking a turn for the better. I'm back to working out several days per week and my cardio endurance has skyrocketed. I can do 65 minutes of straight cardio without running out of breath after only three weeks of vaping - pretty amazing if you ask me!

Some do. It really depends. Some people quit immediately and some gradually quit.

I took the time to calculate it based on how much I smoked a day.
1 pack per day $7.50; per week $52.50; per month $225(based on a 30 day average); per year $2700

I estimated my vaping cost to be around $700-$800 a year after one time starter kit fees. This includes mx and spare parts as well.

I've done the same, and estimate approximately $2400 per year/analogs - $1020 per year/vaping. That's on the high end, and considering I'm new at this and not totally dialed in yet as far as how long cartos will last and how much juice I'll go through. My goal would be to get it much lower than that.

I'm not really worried about the money I spend so much, the numbers for vaping is a really rough estimate since I am new too. So far going into my 4th day, I don't see myself spending more than$1000 realistically this year on vaping. With that said, there are so many options and variations to factor in, so who knows? I still think its going to save money in the long run and definitely save my lungs when I have to pass my fitness test.

Juice costs me $36.00 for a 180ml bottle and I vape around 90ml per month. I also use on the norm just 2 LR atomizers per month that cost me $5 each. I'm spending $28 a month to vape. The last time I smoked a cigarette was last October 12th. I was smoking a pack a day of generics that cost at that time $4.25 a pack since I couldn't afford my go to brand anymore. Vaping costs me about a 1/4 of what cigs was costing me. Not bad.

I think I might do an experiment and keep a notebook with all of my spending on vaping, keep a log for a year and maybe make a thread or blog to keep posted every few weeks. Has anyone tried that?

Vaping can be very costly. If you get caught up in "premium" ejuice and fancy mods and whatnot. I vape cheap dekang or mix my own, and I use homemade mods. Saving money was one of my goals in switching. Frankly, I always thought cigarettes tasted like poo. I tolerated that for over 25 years, so why do I need to spend a fortune on fancy, premium ejuice? I figure as long as it doesn't make me retch then it's all good, and even cheap juice mostly tastes a hell of a lot better than the old stink sticks.

Too tempting!!! I have two kits and I am considering a 3rd. If only I could apply this motivation and proactivity to my job, jeez.
