juice costs me $36.00 for a 180ml bottle and I vape around 90ml per month. I also use on the norm just 2 LR atomizers per month that cost me $5 each. I'm spending $28 a month to vape. The last time I smoked a cigarette was last October 12th. I was smoking a pack a day of generics that cost at that time $4.25 a pack since I couldn't afford my go to brand anymore. vaping costs me about a 1/4 of what cigs was costing me. Not bad.

Congrats on almost a year off the nasties! My figures were accounting for twice that much juice - I'm thinking approx. 30 ml per week across three devices - but that's just based on a few days' full time vaping. Time will tell. Are you mixing your own juice?

Too tempting!!! I have two kits and I am considering a 3rd. If only I could apply this motivation and proactivity to my job, jeez.

LOL - you probably will, once you figure out you need it to supply your vaping gig. :D I have a mini, a medium and a "fat bat" kit, and am loving all but the mini so far. I got it for times when I just want to vape in peace but it needs some tweaking, (way too "airy"), so if I can get that accomplished, I'll be truly in hardware heaven. How much I'll use each and what supplies will end up running me remains to be seen, but it's a challenge I'm reallly looking forward to. Big Time. lol

...all depends...I spent 360bux/month on funkarettes...I added it up last nite and spent 400bux on my first month of vaping...however, my hardware needs are met for the rest of the year and I will be spending no more than 15bux/week for juice...I should break even on my initial expenses this week and go ahead and gain as time goes on..........

Thank you Carrie, I've been getting juice from Bluemist Vaping. I've come to liking their english toffee as my go to vape. It's not sweet but a very full flavor taste to it. I also like their chocolate peanut butter cup and belgian waffle. Sometimes I treat myself to juice from other vendors when it's sale items. There is a clearance sale over at Vapure right now. A 30ml bottle comes out to just under $5 and shipping for orders under $20 costs $2.50. Orders over $20 is free shipping. Limited flavors left on clearance. Sale ends on the 19th. I'm always looking for sales otherwise I just stick with those 3 bluemist juices. I'm sure the day will come when I have to mix my own juice but for now I'm aok :)

At this point, I'm about done buying hardware. Probably pick up a few more batteries since I have the hots for the new eGo with the charge and drag meter.

I"ve been spending some bucks the past couple of months dialing in my hardware, not to mention all the little bottles of juice.

From here on out though, I should be saving a ton of cash. Considering the wife and I were spending around $500 per month on Marlboro's, saving money with e-cigs is pretty easy for us.

I'm getting into DIY juice. I have enough nic juice in the house to make 3000ml of smoke juice. So that will last a while LOL.

Still haven't quite decided what carto is the best for our use, though I've narrowed it down. Once I decide which one or maybe two that works best for my eGo batteries, and the spousal units 510 mega's, I plan on contacting some vendors and see if I can cut a deal buying a hundred or so at a time.

Yo guys i just ordered a joye ego kit from jack at happyvaper.com and i just wanted to ask u guys since it seems like u guys know alot, how much money will i be saving compared to buying real cigarettes? I spend about $10 every 2 days on real cigs and it seems like between the starter kit, juices, flavours and having to replace batteries and atomizers after a whe that vaping is more expensive then smoking analogs. Am i just overwhelmed with the starting cost or does vaping actually save u guys money? Let me know what u guys think.

initial set up can be as little as 5pkts of yr analogs..but yr health is yr benefit if U once smoke and now vaping is priceless..only non-smoker make any sense not to use both(analog & e-cig)..regards mafig ps 6 months into vaping i am still negative in saving and lovingly spending more on accessories and e-liquids by the kg..worth all the $ i spent on e-cig,otherwise i would still be a smoker

Ya, singapore are famous for taxes and fine with no welfare :(
Worst ecig still ban item, that carry a fine of $5000!

Cars taxes are 2-3 times higher compare to states....
BMW 318 cost s$155,000 here, can only drive for 10yrs.

i sympathised for u,not able to acquire e-cig,legally..Singapore is a fine country:(..we in Malaysia can :)...regards mafig ps our branded analogs costs only $3 for 20 sticks unlike yrs a lot more but vaping can be consider more expensive to smoking..i still love to vape because of health reasons!

How much you save really depends on how much work you want to put into saving.

If you get a good, reliable device or mod that's going to last you a good long time, then you can consider that a rare expense every year or two (to replace batteries or repair/replace the device if it wears out or breaks).

For liquids ... well, you can find places that are pretty cheap -- as cheap as $15 for 60ml (MadVapes), though I find you get what you pay for. However, if you delve into the world of DIY E-liquid you can cut that expense way down. I'm making my own stuff and it costs just pennies per 10ml bottle, especially since I got my nic and PG/VG on sale over Labour Day.

How much have I saved??? ROFLMAO!!!!!! No seriiously, I should break even in about a year now that I started buying diy stuff.. As long as I can stay away from some of the mod's I'll be okay... We'll see... But how can you put a price on your health??? For me that is priceless and worth every obsessed dollar that I've spent vaping !!

my signature banner shows about $1300 saved (this is for both my wife and i), however, i have spent $2000 on vaping supplies/equipment at this point. i have not spent a dime in two weeks and have vowed to not spend a dime until October 1st at the earliest (personal goal, my spending was getting stupid).

i have a ton of DIY supplies, pre made juice, attys, cartos, batteries, etc. and could probably survive and easy 4-6 months at this point. however, i like trying new things, it keeps it fun and interesting, so i am sure it will be a while until i actually break even financially.

500 ml. 100 mg. nicotine, $100
2000 ml VG or propylene glycol, $25

Total liquid produced, 2500 ml, 20 mg/ml nicotine $125.00

Cost per ml = 5 cents

This figure does not take into account any flavorings you may add, but if purchased in a reasonable (not microscopic) size, you should be able to smoke for less than 20 cents per day for your liquid. Cartomizer/fluxomizer costs should cost no more than 50 cents per day.

Thus, for less than $1 per day you should be able to vape comfortably.

That about my accounting too.
Using Flavour Art tobacco (did get rid of all the sweet sickening juices) and spending at most 3 ml a day with boge's and Dual Coils (that last 'forever') I may be spending as much as 50 cents a day. Maybe more (and specially more if you add new pv 'toys' and batterys) but really quite cheap.

I sort of wish I could update one of these fancy signature doodads as I spend money on stuff and how long it lasts to get a more accurate "saved $xxxx.xx" going on..... but I'm sort of a geek like that.

Hey, maybe I'll figure out how to write a new one. Of course I don't know how to code in anything but super super basic C++, so it might be a little tricky. :p

Actually, I just made an accounting spreadsheet, because I'm a dork who's avoiding real work. That 58 days my signature says I have until I break even isn't that far off the 67 I got, if my assumption of x cigarettes a day isn't far off the mark to begin with (some weekends I got as high as 2ppd, and some stretches I didn't have any at all since I was trying to quit, so who knows what my actual count is.) I don't anticipate anymore hardware purchases for any time soon, and I think the 145mL of juice, 40 prefilled cartos, and free samples I've got will last for at least that long.

I wasn't expecting to have any real savings for a while, so I'm fairly pleased it won't take very long at all! I should break even on 11/24.

Rats, missed the sale, but will check out Bluemist, thanks. I have juice samples coming from every direction and most of them end up in the BLECH pile. I keep hearing about belgian waffle - have to try some of that.

I settled on the Resurrector LR cartos from Crystal Clear Vaping for my T-Rex and couldn't be happier. Great 15 pack deals. Buying in volume would probably save you, once you decide on what you like.

We haven't saved any money, however my husband's sleep apnea is much better. Food...well Food just tastes fabulous now. I don't get out of the car and smell like I just drove in from Satan's Den of Iniquity and I can actually do something I love which was sit inside my house, read, write on the laptop and vape, otherwise if you are an analog smoker you must remain outdoors. We never smoked in the house (even with 14 inches of snow on the ground), so vaping is a real treat.

Start up for two of us was not cheap, we wanted to do it right away so we found probably not a great supplier to start with but we switch and dropped analog cigs almost immediately. I still want more nicotine in my vape, there's a really good article in the forum on how to find your the right level for noobies. I know I'm not getting the right amount of nicotine so I am vaping probably much more than a noobie should, I charge my 808 at least 3 times a day however tomorrow (hopefully) we should have extra batteries and some new juice so this will assist with the battery issue.

I think overall and healthwise this is much better, it definitely can't be worse.
