Hi
Newbie vapor here just got an EVOD starter kit. I'm a HEAVY smoker aswell. (3packs a day) I was hoping I could get off the analogs all together but I'll settle for cutting down.

Anyway, I have been vaping this thing all day and filled the tank 3 times. I started with a 20ml bottle of some peach stuff and its half gone already. This stuff tastes like crap too but probably because i bought it off some random E-Bayer.

I only smoked one pack of cigs today so I guess I can count that as a win? :?: Am I hitting it too hard ? Is it too much vaping ?

Thanks in advance

All I can tell you is this- if vaping gets you off smoking, then there is no "Too Much". Vape as much as you need to in order to stop smoking completely... worry about the rest when your DONE with the stinkies...

If you smoked 3 packs a day then I would assume you will vape a LOT of juice initially... 18mg or even 24 mg strength. Dont worry about how much, just find what works.

I was a 2+ pack a day when I started. I'll tell you right now if you're using over the counter pre-built you need 36mg. I've been vaping for 5 years know what I know now this is what I would if I wanted totally off the analogs. I would get a rebuildable dripping atomizer RDA. It is the most efficent way to vaporize the nicotine and flavor. No it's not plug and play, but you don't have the habit as a 1/2 pack guy, you got to start out serious. Plenty of instructions on youtube, add me, what ever, but your B and M didn't do you justice by giving you a standard startup kit. As far as flavor there are plenty out there I know you can find one you like. With the right equipment matched with the right nicotine level no reason you can't quit analogs in a day or two.

This is not true... I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 24 years... I started vaping 18mg juice on a crappy V2 ecig and totally quit stinkies in a week... it is all about finding what works for you AND having the desire to quit...

Had same worry when I started Vaping full time. Was chain vaping pretty much non stop. Feel the nic-sick from time to time, but I just ease back until it stops. Was able to drop nic levels to compensate for how much I was vaping, and it was all downhill from there. Started at 24, dropped to 18, then 12. Usually sit between 6-8mg now and pretty satisfied. Definitely had to mix cigarettes and vaping when I started, but that got easier to slow down on too. Stick with it.

Thanks man. That is what I'm doing now. I'm starting to feel like I'm failing hard vaping so much and still smoking. Definitely not smoking as much though. Only one pack today compared to my almost 3 normally.

If 12 mg let you drop 2 of the 3 packs then 24 should get you pretty close to dropping that 3rd one. With different strengths you should be able to manage your cravings quite well.

Try to locate a B&M close by with a tasting bar where you can find some juices you like. Even if you are going thru $60 a week in juice at first you are still gonna be saving money. This site can help you find some in your area Electric Cigarette|Eliquid|Supplies|Electronic Cigarette|Ejuice|Smokeless|Vapor Search USA

If you have a drip tip in your lips and not a smoke that's what matters. Once you get past the initial withdrawl from all the other crap in the cigs you can cut back the amount and strength at a rate that is comfortable for you.

For now just :vapor::vapor::vapor:

Hang in there, you can do it :)

I'm fairly new here as well, I have been trying to do some math also. I figure 1.2 mg nicotine per full flavor cig. That *20 is 24 mg. So I mL of 24mg/mL juice. But people say you can't compare it, so I don't really know, but in my mind, 1 mL of 24mg/mL is a pack of Full-Flavors, until somebody explains it to me better lol.

You can NOT do the math like this... I repeat, you can NOT do the math like this... DONT do the math like this... if your trying to do the math like this, STOP- you CANT do it!!!

Get my drift? When I started vaping (and I asume many other as well) I tried to do this as well... if you read the literature out there, it boils down to this- there is no way to compare. The body metabolizes nicotene from smoke vs vapor in MUCH different ways... the smoke penetrates into your lungs MUCH deeper than vapor does due to particulate size... I end the scientific .... there...

Vape what you need to in order to satisfy the craving to smoke. Period. Don't worry about how much your vaping, what MG nic it is etc... you could vape 36mg nic all day long and if it keeps you off smokes- its a win.

Dont even think you are failing, I was a pack and a half a day camel smoker for 18 years, to be honest with you I smoked and vaped for the first week, by the end of that week, cigs actually tasted like .... Nothing happens overnight. I started on 36, and in a few months i dropped to 18, where i have been happily vaping at for over a year now.

Found a place a town over. Thanks for this. Do brick and mortar stores normally let you taste the juice first ? I mean with my own setup of course.

Some shops will let you sample if they have a flavor bar. Since its a town over give them a call first to check it out. I'd still head over there either way so you could pick up a few flavors you think you might like. You may surprise yourself as to what tastes good as a vape. Keep on winning that battle day by day. Every time you take a vape instead of a cigarette that's a win.
