How often do you squonk with an RM2?

The reason I ask is because I've found that I have to squonk once for every hit in order to get any flavor. I assume it's due to the drainback design of the RM2? I'm used to an Igo-w with a drip well, and I've found the Igo to be much more flavorful than the RM2. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using a 32g microcoil setup at 2 ohms with sterile cotton. Same setup as the Igo.

I have ekowool for wick and squonk about every 4-5 hits. Running a 1.25ohm coil with 28g.

I use a very small amount of cotton, so, yeah, about every two hits. Fresh juice on demand, what's not to like? Except when I it s cold, then a get a sore thumb trying to shove vg through that tiny feed hole in the base of the rba.

I use a pretty small amount of cotton and get several hits between squonks. What type of coil/what ohms you running?

FWIW: 27awg, 1/16id, 0.8 ohm, cotton wicked micro and I get 3 good drags per squonk.

I get about three. Take the drip tip off and make sure when you squonk it coming up to or covering the coil. I find I need a good 3 count with a full bottle and a 5 count with 1/2 or lower bottle.

^This. What VG% are you using, kwill? I run exclusively 100%VG, and Reo needs a good 3-5 second squonk to saturate completely. Even with a minimum amount of cotton wick, I can go 3:1 toot to squonk ratio. Remember, unless your juice is coming out the air hole, you can't really over-squonk, since excess will drain back to the bottle.

not exactly... i have flooded it... its not easy to do... but it is doable...

I flooded an Igo-l (regular, not bottom fed) by not paying attention. The bottle's dripper had fallen off. Filled that RDA right to the top and all over my pants, lol!

I think another factor is how full is the bottle? A squonk with a full bottle is drastically different than a squonk with a 1/4 full bottle. A nudge will give me 3 good hits with a full bottle--with a 1/4 full bottle, I need a pretty strong squeeze.

so... i hate the random flooding of the rm2... takes forever to get rid of... worst part is every time i have flooded the rm2 is when i am just about done and want to take my final 2 puffs... (i find i can get approximately 2 puffs... maybe more... but since burnt cotton is horrible i prefer safe to sorry...) is when i end up flooding it and have to just go to town until it is dry...

Firm squonk, 3 second count, 2-4 puffs. Less is needed on a full bottle, a bit more nearing empty.

Less is more with wicks, especially with bottom feeders...

You've got yourself fresh squonked on-demand juice now, no need to soak up massive amounts of wicks and flood that RM2. Keep that RM2 free and clear to let the juice up, touch the short wick tails, and suck back down efficiently. You'll have fresh flavorful hits everytime, and never flood or leak.

I've never had to take off my drip tip to look, or guess how much juice I'm squonking. If you keep your wicks short and that RM2 clear, there is no guess work. The juice comes up, and goes back down. It's dead simple!

Don't be a lazy squonker!

I go the wasteful route, pull the drip tip off and shake out the flood onto a paper towel.

3 good hits 4 if I loose count, I tip it twards me and squeeze till i see juice just perculate at the air hole then release ,never a flood or dry hit .drain hole clear, not a ton of wick, I like some touching under the coil
