How things have changed...

Couldn't smoke in the workplace so we'd go outside and huddle against the building to stay out of the fierce North Dakota wind. Then our company banned tobacco product use on property all together so we had to go smoke out past the fence and would suck an analog down fast so we could get back in where it was warm. A couple of guys quit smoking, most of us didn't.

Then I heard about e-cigs and the epa flap and figured why bother if its just going to be banned. A few months later I gave it a go and haven't looked back. Still not 100% analog free, I'll stop and get a pack on my way to work monday mornings but it will last all week. Big change over the pack and a half a day I was smoking. I don't smoke at home or work, just in the car on my 30 mile commute. I feel better, breath better and have more money in the bank.

We now have 1 analog smoker left at work and I gave him a disposable e-cig last week. He's tired of going out in the cold, might not quit all the way but could become a cold weather vaper. The .... can outside the fence is covered in snow with one set of footprints going out to it while we're vaping where it's nice and warm. Here's hoping the company doesn't get a bug up its .... and ban e-cig usage on property as well.

The head of my department caught me this morning with my wetbox. I am now worried that he will ban them. My supervisor has been letting me and another e-cig user vape while we work. But I don't know what will happen now. Our companu has been tobacco free for the last 4 years. I hope they don't consider banning all use of nicotine.

that would be a really bad thing to happen. funny though that most supervisors seem to have no problem with vaping team members. i experienced nothing but tolerance at work, even though one time one of my colleagues who did not know that i was vaping saw the "smoke" rising from my desk and thought that my pc was on fire :laugh:

Everyone I work with knows I've quit smoking and use a PV. Management has been great. They know what I'm doing and I'm discreet with it so guests won't see me. Several of my co-workers now use a PV and the company seems to be happy that we have stopped smoking. I vape at my desk unless there are a lot of people coming through and then I take it to the restroom. It sure beats fighting the elements.

I vape at my desk at work all day long. I don't vape in front of clients though. The company head knows I do it and has never said a thing. But I know that vaping will never be banned in my workplace. My company head is the coolest person I know.

I guess it pays to be your own boss  (alright, I admit it....the company head is me)

Ditto, I've declared our offices "vape friendly" as well.

Funny though, the only person who still has to go outside for an analogue, is the person who first mentioned ecigs in a casual conversation about her friend buying one from Hong Kong. LOL

I vape openly, everywhere. Maybe it's because I'm a long time smoker, we used to be able to smoke everywhere. It helps that the eGo doesn't look at all like a cigarette, so people ask me what I'm doing and I explain. Took it apart and showed the pieces and my juice to a policeman the other day. He thought it was great.

I vape at my desk at work. I'm discreet about it and don't do it openly. In NJ it's illegal to vape anywhere you can' smoke (welcome to communist NJ, and the beginning of the USSA). I don't vape at bars, restaurants, etc. since it's illegal. Most people wouldn't know that, but I try to be a good little tax paying slave and do what I'm told.

Also have one other vaper at work who has totally quit smoking (unlike me) with a combination of the patch and occasional vaping, but he vapes like uber low nicotine. I believe he's the type that doesn't like the social stigma, but either way vaping has helped him get off cigarettes. Another I think will be ordering a kit soon just to avoid going out in the cold. Some of the smokers at work find my vaping interesting, others laugh and think it's funny. To each his own I say.

Personally I find I'm a lot more productive at work when I still have my nic fix and can stay at my desk working while I do. You know how it is, go out for a smoke break, strike up a conversation with whoever else is smoking, get distracted on the way back to your desk, etc. Next thing you know you just killed a lot of time and need to play catch up when you get back to work.

Is anything still legal in NJ?
