I appreciate your point of view and I agree, like I said I know what it's like to be around someone suffering from lung cancer.
The comment was a poor choice of words, he was not asking what it sounds like.
I am actually coordinating Oxygen Generators and tanks for my Dad to come home from rehab after Obliterative Brochiolitis Pneuno Thorasic Surgery from Emphysema. At the moment soyou can understand it is no joking matter in my opinion.

You are sensitive to the subject, I do understand. But you are upset at the wrong person, it was Donaldtrump69 making light of his grandmothers reaction to his vaping.

No, he asked what it sounded like to be dying of cancer. Since I know first hand what that sounds like do not tell me it was not wrong.
If you had directed that at trump I wouldn't have said anything, other than the sympathies.

I directed it at Rabbit since he asked what a person dying of cancer sounds like. You know it is hard to close my eyes and not see and hear it. DO NOT TELL ME HOW I SHOULD REACT AND TOWARDS WHO when it comes to this subject it is still too damn fresh in my minds eye.
And please do not continue arguing with me over my fracking reaction to a statement. Let the person who said it debate it with me. Who the hell are you to tell me how I should react to that statement?

Steve, trust me, we all empathize with you. I read the whole thread. I really feel that you mistook what Rabbit was saying to the OP.
What I read was that Rabbit felt the OP was NOT being kind to his grandmother. If his grandmother was having problems, he should NOT be vaping around her. Rabbit was asking the OP if he had ever been around someone that was dying of cancer. More to point out that Cancer is NOT something one wants to witness.
I do get that you are VERY sensitive to this. Trust when I say, many of us have had loved ones die from a disease that hits the lungs. My mom just passed away from emphysema in January. I was there when she took her last breaths. That will stay with me the rest of my life.
No one, and I mean no ONE on this thread is making light of this.

I just want to address this.
I am the kind of person who was trying to make you feel better, I was trying to diffuse the misunderstanding. The way I see it is a misunderstanding to a poor choice of words.
I recently got into with a member over house fires, because I am extremely sensitive about the subject and he seemed insensitive. After I stepped back and cooled off I could see my sensitivity was driving my anger more than his perceived insensitivity.
I am truly sorry for upsetting you further, it was not my intention.

My mother (God rest her sainted soul) woke up one morning and hit the floor after
turning on the kitchen light. (Fines) Both of then smoked all their lives. 2 or 3 packs a day at the end.
was it pretty? No.
I suggest you get some grief counseling. Lashing out at others is one of the first stages of grief.
Knowing what the stages of grief are prevent one for falling into the same counter productive
emoting that doesn't get anyone anywhere.
Your feelings are normal. Your lashing out so vitriolically are not. Everyone has their demons
that haunt them. Te trick is not to cast your demons upon others. Back in the day we called
it maturity.

I will not allow someone who thinks he knows what I am thinking or another persons intentions to debate what the OTHER Person meant. That is one thing and {EDITED} because I do not need grief counseling. This is your idea of trying to help? Make a joke about cancer all you want I will blast you every time.
