How to keep your PV clean?

Hey all,

What is the best method for cleaning an eGO + atomizers? My local shop uses a jewelry cleaner and it seems to work quite well. Was curious what the masses on here use and if they can provide me any links?

I have heard that you can clean attys with cheap vodka and then rinse with distilled water.

When I used attys, I just blew them out with compressed air. A can of cleaning duster from Office Depot works great.

I drop them in a vodka bath. I keep 5 or 6 in operation and just drop them in until they are needed for the next cycle. Then I blow them out, drop in a few drops of plain PG to keep it lubed, and go through the cycle again... I had tried a few other methods before, but this one has worked the best for me.

i always used isopropyl alcohol 90% i think its 90% soak for a few min. rince, let dry for a few hours

I use the smoktek cartomizer cleaning syringe first with distilled water, then with everclear. I let them sit overnight to dry and then prime and use. for my battery I just wipe it off with a soft cloth if it gets dirty. Sometimes I use a tiny drop of hand sanitizer on the battery body, just never clean the connections with liquid if you can avoid it.

I throw my attys in a glass of warm water with a Polident tablet for about half an hour. Rinse with hot water. Blow out through the threaded end. 510's I let dry overnight. 306's can be used almost immediately, no need to dry overnight.

So far the boiling method has worked well for me. Put in a pot, boil 15 minutes, rinse under water, repeat 2 more time. Shake/blow out all the water you can and let them dry. I use a food dehydrator overnight for drying.

There is no need to let an atty sit over night to dry. Both water and alcohol are e-liquid soluble, otherwise water or alcohol wouldn't clean the juice out of them. So just blow as much out as you can, and then use them.
Also, never clean an atty and then put it is storage without putting a couple of drops of juice in it. You will be amazed by how many atties die in the storage box.

As far as the eGo, just wipe it down with an alcohol dampened rag. Most of the sticky gooey feeling is just perspiration from your hands.

Sorry, I should have specified that I let my carto's dry over night. The attys I just fill and use right away.

So is there really any need to use an alcohol or is just plain old water good enough to clean them out? Seems like boiling water is relatively easy and cost effective.

Oh and how often is atty cleaning really needed? I've been at this for a month and just had mine cleaned for the first time at my local shop ...
