OK I've been more or less a carto user since the beginning and I think I've been pretty good at making them last for quite awhile but I have a small issue.. I recently bought the Fireball liquid from LF and I am a very huge fan of the flavor but the liquid is really dark and thick. I've been using this carto (replacement with an extra hole punched refill for my carto tank) for just about a week now.

Now, it is a very good possibility that I'll be ordering a VMOD this weekend and I will be getting the Silo cartos to go with that and then my fiance will be getting the rest of my refills.. So... Point is I don't want to use anymore of them so he can have them and I need to know the best way to make this one last for at least another week.. I have a clearomizer and another tank which is currently filled with my old default NPort and while I can mix the flavors fine I don't really want to.

Any thoughts, suggestion and/or reviews on the VMOD would be greatly appreciated :D

I find that the darker, thicker liquids really clog up my cartomizers,,,,,,,

I drop 1-2 drops of vodka in there every now and again,,,,,,it sort of thins it out and declogs it a bit,,,,,,

I also clean mine with vodka,,,,,,,drop them into a bowl with enough vodka to cover overnight, then use a 2.00 oral syrynge to flush it out with vodka, then push air through it until as much liquid as possible is out,,,,,,,,,then let it dry over night. That helps too.

I learn something new everyday on this forum......I'll have to try this!

I found boiling mine helped revivify them from that perfumey taste they can get (I'm guilty of switching flavors without marking the cart, however). I followed P. Busardo's video, boiled them repeatedly until the water was water and had very little detectable scent, and dried for 24 hours atop a vertical air cleaner.

If I remember, it took five boils of fifteen minutes to get them completely clean. That first batch of water turned an interesting color as well.

They vape like new.

It's labor-intensive enough that I stockpile cartos and did twenty at a time.

Get a paper clip, the kind with little ridges; bend it out so you end up with a long straight section with a little "handle"... make sure that straight part is REALLY straight.

Work that slowly into the carto hole, then rub it up and down along the sides, rotating the carto. After a full rotation, remove the clip and wipe; do this a couple more times. You will see the residue come off the clip onto the paper towel/shirt. It's like how you would clean a musket barrel, if that makes sense.

You can often double or triple the carto lifespan with this technique. I keep my cleaner clip in my wallet; with practice you will be able to clean a carto in 2 minutes flat. When TH and flavor begin to severely diminish, you will know that the carto is about done.

i use, or rather used a DCT carto with my 6ml DCT tank setup. I said i used because..... let me first tell you the juice i used. i DIYed a concotion of RY4 and peppermint flavor with a 50-50 PG-VG composition, later after letting it steep for only a day or two, i tasted (read vaped) it and tweeked with some MTS vape wizard and sweetner. The result was good, the falvor was sharp caramel with mint, worked for me. Then i filled up my 6ml tank as i was planning a trip, but later realized that after a few toots, there was some dark liquid coming out of the hole punched in the DCT carto, by next morning my golden colored juice was dark brown, i checked for it online and i can chalk it up to the caramelized suger, by the same evening i was not able to take a toot clearly with out some liquid getting in my mouth and the drags were very hard, i think so i screwed up my carto. Now the point is, IS there a way to clean it and re-use the carto or i can say i murdered one.:D any help is welcome.

Water pick. Flushes them real good then dry and do wet burn. Using Hydrogen Peroxide in it then flush again. But they will never return close to 100% in my experience. That is why I went to rebuildable clearo's and the Vivi nova. I use 100%vg and some flavors that gunk them up good. It is rare that i can get trough a filled tank or reg carto and not have it get that burnt feel.
