Hi,
I was experimenting with extracting from tobacco by boiling in water with vinegar added (to make the water acidic). I haven't used it, nor do I intend to use it until I know it is safe. I have bought one of the kits using Bromothymol Blue, but I can't use it because the solution I have is already acidic. As soon as I add blue to it, it immediately turns yellowish/greenish. At this point I'm just curious what the nicotine level is. Is there any way to turn it non-acidic so the test can work, or is there another way of testing nicotine level? Thank you.
