tried the PG stuff and still did not feel it

Indulge me for a second...

My wife and I used to get into this (silly) debate about whether skunks actually "smelled" or not. I think they do (of course) have a very discernible odor, though not necesaarily bad unless you actually get sprayed. My wife, on the other hand, said she could not smell skunks. She (born and raised in Los Angeles) had never even seen a skunk in person until she moved out to Michigan in 2000. Everytime I smelled a skunk near by I would ask her if she smelled it and she always would take a deep breath in through her nose and reply, "Nope!" It used to drive me nuts becasue I could not understand how that was possible. (There are many skunks around my way and unfortunately they have this notion that they can make it across the busy streets.)

One day I was driving (on an empty) street and smelled the telltale signs of Pepe Le Pew very near. I casually slowed the car, rolled the windows down and asked her to close her eyes and describe what the air smelled like. She described it as very earthy, slighly dark, woodsy and almost like burning leaves. It was at that moment when I asked her what she "thought" a skunk was supposed to smell like. My wife said she thought skunks were "supposed" to smell very offensive, rancid and like a concentrated version of a landfill full waste!

So, it wasn't that she didn't smell skunks, it was just that what she smelled was not what she thought she was looking for. It is my assertion that you are probably experiencing it, but it is nowhere near what you "thought" it should be. :2c:

There is also the possibility that it doesn't affect some people the same due to differences if brain chemistry or whatever.

To follow up on your skunk analogy, my wife went nearly her whole life not knowing that eating asparagus makes your pee stink.
She never realized it, because she simply is not capable of smelling it...

I consider her quite lucky.

Cracking me up!

You know, I have used to work with a girl that clinically had no sense of smell. She told me several times how she almost burned her house down and passed out from being unaware of a gas leak.

Maybe it's similar to when e-juice and vaping came into being. Anything new is always open to critizism. I haven't read through the info yet but does there exist an article that actually lists the makeup/ingredients of WTA? When I first heard about E-Cigs I thought it was a great idea and I couldn't wait to try it. After 3 years I still say it's the best shot at quitting analogs I've had. I'm an adult and can make the decision to try something or not, I was a kid when I started smoking. Nobody talked to me about the effects, I was just told to stop it or else. I was paying a quarter for a pack of smokes...imagine that!

WTA are whole tobacco alkaloids. It adds some more chemicals to ejuice then just the nic. I think people are scared that they will cause more regulation on all ejuice or cancer. I think they are wrong. I went through what WTA and what I think about them here. I think WTA are 100x better than analogs. They are something new so there is more fear mongering. But if you still have cravings for analogs with regular ejuice I would recommend them.

No offense to Aaron, but NOTHING is added to WTA, besides flavoring that any vendor would use. It is a matter of what is not taken out of the tobacco. Read this a few times...I did ;) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/230570-wta-e-liquid-issues.html

No offense taken. Grr I need to fix my grammar. You are right nothing is added per say just less is taken out :p It has more chemicals than regular ejuice.
On the link I think he promotes snus too much. I got a lecture from my dentist for just trying the stuff a couple of times. Know any research witch compares vaping WTA ejuice to snus. I am not sure what is healthier but my dentist sure thought he did. :p

Your dentist if far more likely to be wrong than Rolygate, in my opinion.
And I'm sure there is research out there regarding the effect of snus use on your teeth and gums.

Might want to check with a poster named Stubby if you are concerned.
I'm sure he can steer you to any such research.

Or maybe just go and make a post in the snus subforum.
:)

Snus probably gets more airtime in that article because it's been around quite awhile, many people use it and they're not dropping like flies. WTA has been around since last autumn, I use it, and...

I'm thinking I need to purchase some WTA juice for John. We had a conversation last night where he said the past 3 weeks are hard and that vaping just isn't as satisfying as smoking. He's been successful the past 3 weeks but 35 years of 1.5 packs a day he still feels like he's missing something. He still have cravings. Hopefully WTA takes that edge off.

This is link with a number of studies done on snus and gum disease

http://rodutobaccotruth.blogspot.com/2011/07/snus-use-and-gum-disease-no-association.html

I've been reading studies and articles on snus for over three years and the more I know the better I feel about the long term use of it. I have seen numerous people try to argue that vaping is inherently superior to snus, with the reason being that snus is still a whole tobacco product and somehow carries a good deal more risk, but the science doesn't back it up.

It's also good not to forget that all forms of smokeless tobacco, and that includes american dip and chew, nasal snuff, and dissolvables, all carry a very low risk factor comparable to snus. If there is a difference in risk it is very small, though dip can be a bit harder on the gums because of added sugars. i prefer snus as it is spotless, but as far as risk goes it's not a big deal. A few decades of intense misinformation by the ANTZ have done wonders to prejudice the overall view of smokeless tobacco.

It's also good to remember that all forms of smokeless tobacco have the full spectrum of alkaloids. For those people that are missing the minor alkaloids the switch from smoking to smokeless is a good deal smoother then the switch from smoking to vaping.

Thanks it is informative :) Not sure if my skepticism of what my dentist said is apparent enough do you think I should clarify it?

is there any update for a reason I don't feel the wta???

It could be you're expecting some kind of big blast to your brain that will make you know absolutely that it's working?
Honestly I don't know. It always worked for me and I so appreciate that calming focused feeling I get from WTA.
Some of my juices are old and still work well. I think all juice does degrade with time and/or light but mine is holding up well!
Now I need to buy some more......Jerrrrrrrrry!

I love them too. I no longer feel I have to buy 36 strength nicotine. 24 and WTA is great for my cravings. Haven't had a flavor I don't like but I never buy the tobacco blends. Favorite for all day vaping is pomogranite WTA
But I just loaded a new supply of another favorite Miami Creme Brûlée and I'm in heaven. Been getting by with lessor stuff for a while. Why I got on the site. To say I am in Creme Brûlée Heaven again

I've been vaping Aroma 12mg WTA Virginia in the evenings before bedtime. I find that it helps me get to sleep.

If you find that the WTA juices have a rather noticeable chemical 'twang' in the taste, try mixing in a little waffle or maple flavored juice. It seems to re-tune the twang, making the taste more harmonious. YMMV, of course.

Got the aloha flavor (pineapple) now this one just seems to get better with time and that makes my cartomizer last longer. Don't know why but with the WTA the flavor is second in importance to me so far. I still don't buy tobacco flavor. I would like to try unflavored WTA to see what's up with that but it's out of stock. In any case, I'm glad to have found a single source ( so far as I know at this date) for WTA. They must busy with their brains blowing out but the delivery time has been great. That's Aroma Juice. I am worried It will be discontinued! That seems to happen when something good comes along
