Trapped within my imagination
I'm sitting here looking at the only 801 atty that I have ever bought lol ( specifically for my prodigy) ...Being an 801 virgin I have nothing to compare it to...All I know Is that when ever I've dripped on my 901/510/401 attys I could aim, let the drip almost drop, then barely touch the tip of the bottle to the wic...Perfect every time.....
I tried that with my 801 and got stopped midway cause the bottle wont fit down into the 801 atty...I do like the 801 but, I HATE aiming blind! lmao....Ahhh well, practice makes perfect (smile)

My 801 atty's are GREAt! Easy draw, good vapor, no primer puff needed. They have SLB written on them. (no other holes except the main center hole) I just started mixing my own liquid and using VG and WOW! Huge! Plumes of vapor clouds. I have MS, and my cheek muscles are not that strong, I ordered the M-201, and it's too hard for me to draw through, gave myself a headache trying Lol. I don't like it.(It has 2 extra holes in it) The draw I get from my 801 is AWESOME, doesn't take very much effort to get good vapor and that's just what I need!!

ALSO: Prefilled carts can cause this. I can't use the pre-filled carts either, the draw is like trying to draw a marble thru a straw 8-o But, once you get some that extra liquid down, they work better. I stopped using them in the very beginning for this very reason. I rinsed the filler out, dried it w/a paper towel and use my favorite e-liquid to refill my carts. Works great!

Who do you get your attys from?

BTW way, they have either another 2 or 4 holes (probably 4.) They're hidden on the sides of the center battery post.

wv2win:

I agree that having a solid device is a fundamental necessity, but thinking that a solid battery unit will somehow circumvent issues inspired by a marginally designed atomizer simply isn't a fair assumption.

I have a VP1, which is designed to work with an 801 / BE112, and the BE112 attys that I unfortunately stockpiled perform horribly on it. This isn't user error or bad judgment, it's bad atomizer design.

I've not used the VP1. On the Prodigy and the GG, both the 801 and BE112 work like a charm. And this has been reported by scores of forum members. So I don't know what to tell you.

I don't want to badmouth anyone but i'm trying to find the best materials money can buy.
I purchased several 501's that came with the prodigy, and to me they are no good.

I have to suck on the damned things like a vacuum cleaner to get anything.

The only atty that i found has performed 10000 times better than any other is the TAWA...then again it's 19 bucks a piece.

In fact let me try my best to describe the difference between a good and a bad atty.

With a so called bad atty, i have to make a whole bunch of mouth puffs then inhale these.
Most of the time i do not get that Kick in the lungs.

With the janty atty Tawa i take one smaller puff and it just fills we up with kick and vapor.
Easy draw, and not having to impersonate a vacuum cleaner.

I got my atty's from eCigarettes and eLiquid from Awesome Vapor

I'm looking for the holes you mention, using a high power light magnifying glass, guess I'll just take your word for it, they are there, cuz I still can't see any holes. :)

Scores of forum members are also reporting that the 'high bridge' 801 attys are terrible compared to the older low bridge versions. Forum members are also reporting that the BE112s are substandard, and that the protruding pieces of fiber glass wick material are yielding a wretched burnt taste which is very difficult to avoid.

My point here is this: simply asserting that because you yourself have not encountered these specific atomizer issues 'they must not exist' isn't really all that helpful. Are you sure the BE112s you've used are the same as mine? Can we be certain that a subtle change in manufacturing hasn't hampered the performance of recent batches? Of course, we can't.

I'm a big fan of working to control variables to improve my experience, and these particular variables need to be considered here. Blanket statements based on reckless assumptions only serve to mislead and frustrate. That's all. ;-)

Just so that doesnt confuse anyone, the Janty TAWA are the cheaper, non warranty atomizers. They appear exactly the same in design, but with no warranty. The $19 dollar atomizers are the 6 month warranty Janty's. I ordered both with my JS and they appear to be identical, save the warranty.

Directly from JantyUSA:

CLASSIC ATOMIZER
$16.95

KISSBOX CLASSIC TAWA
$8.95

If the Janty classic atty is working so well for you, why wouldn't you just buy a few of them? I mean, no one expects an atty to last more than a few weeks, and the Janty classic has a 6 month warranty on it. Couldn't you just buy two of these, and send one back for replacement whenever its performance started to drop off?

This would get you six months worth of attys that you know perform well for you for only $34, which sounds like a stellar deal to me. With other attys costing about $7 each, lasting about 2 weeks per atty, it would cost around $84 to cover the same six month range.

Am I missing something here?

every new penstyle atty i connect to my Janty Stick performs great (vapor, hit) for about a week whatever brand it is, then performance start decreasing day after day, some brands have a harder draw some lighter but vapor production is always great in the first week.
My opinion is that they all sucks after little use.
i didn't have a single dead atty in 3 months of vaping, all of them just loose performance pretty soon.
that's why now i started buying the cheapest ones and throw them away after a couple of weeks or so.
..and yes i blow and keep them clean every day.

I was simply wondering if there were other brands of really good ones i could potentially like.

Also wondering if others had had same experience with atty's or if i was me getting senile?

Yes i'm stocking up on janty's classic. You missed nothing. Perfectly sane.8-o

Like ournature, I've had no problems since I got my JantyStick, but I've only had it a week. Now the usb passthrough that I thought was so good just seems so weak. I started with auto and then switched to manuals and most of my problems went away, I believe because the autos use a mic sensor instead of a pressure sensor. Also my batts last a lot long with manuals too.

Leaking is usually a function of the juice viscosity (how thick it is). Juices that are primarily PG tend to leak more because the PG is low viscosity. Add a little VG to thicken it up some. You could also be overfiling your carts a bit. Don't fill them so much and sacrifice a little time to filling more often instead. The actual leaking can't be stopped because the atomizers themselves are not sealed (they have to be open to some degree for air flow). Hope that helps some.

Well, I see them on all mine. They are just above the thread in the black band. Mine has 4. (TW 801's 5 pack)

Work much better than the stock pen atty I got with my Prodigy. And last longer too.
