If I may make a suggestion without sounding too whiny... If you are going to have a contest, have it end and post winners when you state you will in your announcement. Also, if you are going to give 50 away right off the bat, let people know on the announcement as well. I just see 400 being given away and think, WOW, but you are doing this only 50 at a time over a week's time. Am I the only one that is a little disappointed here?

Well...They could have given away zero. Most contests would have only given away 1!

I'm pretty sure I disqualified myself, I read far more than I post, but I'm having fun watching a bunch of excited kids the night before Christmas. And it's about the fun, right? If I was just dead set on the device I could give up Starbucks for a month and buy one.

Wish I had that problem. Then again, not during our winters... I would like to find a place to live where, outside, the temperature is +35F at the lowest and +75F at the highest. When I was younger, my range seemed to be OK from -20 to +120F, but now various body parts hurt too much in the extreme temperatures. We keep the computers down here in the dungeon and the current temperature next to this computer is +81F at 61% RH and this is the coolest place in the house.
You'll want to move to San Diego then.

Yes, you're the only one :p
The logistics of just the 50 at a time is hard enough..... The contest IS ending when they said. You gotta give them time to sort things out after..... Just think of how many possible entries they have to sort through. Tally points,, create a list for random draw....etc. etc..
As far as how they chose to run it, it isn't like they lied, they ARE giving away 400...... Where did it say at one drawing? I think the quick rounds was a great way to increase interest, and give us all something to enjoy and look forward to while waiting for the final drawings

That's SF weather. ;)
Only problem, you never know what the weather's gonna be like. We don't really have regular seasons, and you could get rain, sun and fog all in the same day.

I love the SF weather. When I lived in the Bay Area, we only had temps above 90 one week a year (usually right around Independence Day). And even when it is warm there, once 3 pm rolls around and the breeze comes in off the bay, everything cools down. Of course SF is always 10-15 degrees cooler than the South Bay.

Did the odds of winning increase the more you posted? Is this the usual here? Am fairly a newbie.

In the summer, it's around 55 here, and about 100+ inland (about an hour east, like Antioch or Livermore).
