Hurricane Irma

We got the hurricane shutters on a day early. Left the back patio slider shutters off for now. We broke one wing nut and that was the only spare one ROFL. We already have extras in a kit we had bought a couple of years ago and haven't used.
Now it's just a waiting game. ... Tick tock, tick tock...

((((HUGS)))) darlin'It has not been a good day . . . With all these continuing news report/updates about "Irma" all day long, I'm sitting here extreamly nauseated right now.
AND - Although, I left "My" apartment today to finish up a few errands before I leave to go to my Friends home, I arrive back to "My apartment complex find that the management/maintenance people where I live had left early - already closed up shop at 4 PM, shut down all the elevators, sandbagged doorways, and will not be back here until sometime next week and "Irma" passes by (wasn't supposed to be until tomorrow - Thankfully I can still get out tomorrow when I had planned to do at 12 Noon). Also, since we are in a Flood zone (#1) by the inter-coastal and have been told to evacuate by city/state, many of "My" neighbors have done so today too (Thankfully - They went to shelters/special needs facilities, Family/Friends, or just left the state). The worse thing though are all of those neighbors who did not leave here and are planning to stick it out as many of us did during "Wilma" & "Mathew" - NOT GOOD ! ! !
Also, I am now second guessing myself for NOT trying to get a airfare out of here . . .
"My" apologies for just spewing, however I need to tell someone right now . . .
Anyway, it is what it is . . .
OKAY NOW - Nothing to see here - "You" Can All Move Along . . .
...I'm sending lots of good vibes and praying for you and everyone there....and if that doesn't work, I'm doing my special "go away you stupid hurricane" dance...trust me if she sees that, she'll turn around quick...or just die from laughing.

OKAY - I Needed to read those post (although I still feel nausea) . . .
What kills me about this storm is it could damage all 3 of my properties in Destin Fl, Avon NC, Concord NC. I really hurt for the people of Central Florida hope everyone stays safe.

if you're stuck there,, get a helmet of some sort and a life jacket. you dont want to hit your head and you saw how the bayous down here became oceans,, your arms will tire swimming out.
Well you'll certainly get a good view of the storm that way

I was eyed by all three in summer of 2004 - Charley, Frances, and Jeanne...within 5 weeks. Had 135MPH winds in my barnyard when Charley came to visit. I'm definitely NOT looking forward to a visit from Irma. This one scares the beegeebies out of me.
When I saw that my heart sunk. I am no longer in panic mode. I'm in scared s......less mode....who let thatscoot a bit West again this afternoon ?

Yesterday we started second-guessing our decision to stay put. No evac in my county but but... and now that it looks like this damn thing is going more west it may hit my house squarely. Arghhhhhhhhhh
