This picture is one that goes around whenever there is coastal flooding...however, it IS/WAS probably an actual picture at some point, and it's entirely possible for this to happen.

Getting some reports from St Augustine, waves are breaking over the sea wall and A1A, the main drag, is under 1-2 ft of water. Hope @smacuser is high and dry.

Made it with ease, though the footage of St. Aug was rough. I'm sure everyone will recoup.

    Somewhere out there
I am glad it was not worse but flooding can be such a mess. I hope everyone's homes are fine. I have been thru 2 floods and I can agree it is exhausting, mentally and physically. Be sure to rest and eat right to keep up your strength. Glad everyone is ok!

We certainly missed that bullet down here. Please stay safe you all!

    YES - "We" certainly did . . .

The funniest thing is, because of all the hype and living alone in a Senior Apartment Complex that was worse then any Hurricane Ghost Town I been in before . . . I left Ft Lauderdale to stay with Friends in WPB although - at first, Matthew was supposed to come in land there . . . Only to find out from a couple of friends that I meet for some coffee that the worse to happen in Ft Lauderdale was like going through a major rain storm . . . Flooded roads and "Yard" type garbage in the streets . . .
    So - Yes - Missed That Bullet - THANKFULLY . . .

    boy...is anyone else just...just mentally beat ?

Without a doubt - feeling drained and emotionally beat - and more than I expected given previous experiences dealing with or being through a major Hurricane (last 2 "Wilma" & "Sandy" while I was up in NYC ) . . . Actually got back to "My" Apartment (No HOME or other family members to worry about) yesterday afternoon and everything in area - and as I was driving the roads down - was alright that I could see . . . However - long story short, it was still a "ghost town" where I live . . . So got all the Hurricane "Stuff" I had out put away and went out for a little bit to try and connect with some people (see above). . . When I got back from the coffee outing with friends I realized I really was not feeling up to par with everything that has been happening . . . I thought a Good NIght's Sleep - will hopefully take care of everything . . . But I am still out of shorts and going to rethink about what I will do the next time a hurricane is going to come by here . . . Just Sayin' . . .

ANYWAY - I honestly hope "Everyone" is alright and took whatever precautions they could to STAY SAFE . . . More importantly, those that were much more affected then I was can recover and get back to their normal life ASAP ! ! !

AND - Those who are still in the path of "Matthew" - batten down the hatch - and STAY SAFE ! ! !

    "GOOD VIBES" & "POSITIVE THOUGHTS"

are being sent "Your" way . . .
