It will go on top of my black nunchaku or black dani box.

If I like it, then going to get the sandstorm one too, really like the look of that one, and just got a nova which may look good on it.
I was going to get a sandstorm too but then found out in the JAC thread they've stopped selling to the USA. Unless JAC resumes selling to the USA none of us are going to get anymore of their products. Big bummer. I'm happy to have a couple of the original JAC series b dna-75's. They are nice mods. My first one sees tons of use.

Look what turned up a day early, 10 days from FT, not bad going this time

    20190717_172654.jpg

1st impressions are very good, right now chain vaping it as it is new, and is wicking with no problems, flavor is very good, and I like the airflow, can make it really restricted, but I like a more airy MTL vape, so got 1 hole fully open and the other 2 half closed off.

I am disappointed with the drip tip, love the look of it, and was going to get more, but it's so short, I don't like my mouth on the top of the tank, so swapped it out for a bit longer drip tip.

I am curious to why the top part with the drip tip unscrews from the top cap, I don't see a reason why it is that way, not that it bothers me, just curious to why designed that way.

I am going to hold off getting the satin grey for a week or 2, let the honeymoon period pass, and if still loving it then, will be ordering 'more' for sure.

Looks very sharp on the Dani. I wonder why Hussar went with such small DT's. Love the looks of them too but they are small.

Top part... yes, curious too. The stratum store has completely different TC's.

Edit: maybe Hussar was planning different caps???

It looks amazing on the Dani

I also switched the drip tip - it's usually the first thing I do, but I wanted to try and like the stock tip first as I also loved how it looked. I don't mind short tips, but I prefer rounded tips.

I'm glad you are enjoying it :thumb:

Yay! To getting your order so quickly! My accessories order only will take 7 days using Hong Kong Post.

Great that you’re liking it! My 1st thought about the driptip was boy is it tiny, but I was busy & didn’t get around to switching it out & now I’ve gotten use to it.

I have the satin grey & was going to order the SS but I think I will wait & see too.

I do find the top cap hard to remove to fill even though I have used lubricant on it.

My top cap pops easy, but my jfc is an absolute pita to turn

I've not had to refill yet, so can't say how that is, even though when put the top on when 1st filled, it did bunch up the bottom oring, I would of preferred a actually top fill, I remember had some messes with the older hussar side hole filling.

JFC is easy on mine, and like how that part works.

So did my 1st refill just now, I did learn, be careful what you doing, I closed the JFC, and then went to twist off the top cap, and ended up twisting off the whole tank off the deck, so lessoned learned don't twist and pull to get top cap off, apart from that, it went fine, no flooding and cap was tight, but not over the top tight.

@Heartsdelight , I waited 24 hours and couldn't wait any longer. :w00t: For the last hour I've been dripping Heartsdelight ACC and OMG... it is awesome! I whipped up a second 60ml batch while taste testing. An RTA is cleaned, wicked and waiting to be filled but I need to give it more time to gel... maybe. ;)
    Thank you.

My Project X also came in today (Wednesday) - two days earlier than initially estimated - total of 14 days between date of order and date of delivery. Not too shabby, IMO.

Didn’t have time to play with it earlier and am in the process of building now, but just discovered something of note.

Using my metric mini drill bit set, I found that the three air holes on the negative side of the deck are about 1.45 mm each. However, the three air holes on the positive side of the deck - the side with the insulator and the gold-plated piece - are smaller; the largest drill bit that I could fit into the holes all the way through to the coil is 1.25 mm and that is a very tight fit. A 1.3 mm bit will fit snugly through the two outer layers but not through the positive gold plated layer. I think a 1.45 mm bit will fit through the outer wall, but no further. I can’t say for sure whether this is because of an alignment problem of the three parts and materials, differing hole sizes or both.

In addition, while the top of the insulator is even with the top of outer wall of the deck, the gold plated positive piece sits ever so slightly lower than the insulator. Hopefully this doesn’t contribute to more than manageable leakage while the juice flow is closed.

Of course, none of this really matters if it vapes well and doesn’t bleed eliquid (I don’t expect perfection in a clone), so I’m keeping an open mind. I must say that at least while pulling on it without a coil installed the air flow was very smooth, quiet and very much to my liking. Wide open it was very close to the SXK Haku Venna RDA clone I’ve been running on one of my squonkers. With a single hole open on each side it seemed close to a single 1.8 mm air flow, perhaps a touch more airy.

Still promising and I’m still hopeful, but time - and a few builds - will tell. :)

    I’m so happy you’re enjoying it! That’s fantastic! :banana::banana: :thumbs::thumbs:

Maybe you wanna share on the Random DIY Mixing thread your thoughts.

Hey at least you remembered to turn the jfc back on ;) one of us didn't

but I have remembered every single time since then

I received a spool of twisted fused clapton ss316L 32gx3/40g from AVS yesterday. I popped in a 6 wrap 2.5ID coil coming in at 0.64Ω. Nice... very nice w/TC running at 24w and 420f.
Very flavorful and sooooo RDA like IMO with the X's reduced chamber.

Still loving my X ... same as I did from the very first vape. ;) Lovin' it more actually.
My second should be here soon... soon meaning FT time [slooooow].

And in the Project X maintenance category...

Today I noticed just a tad bit of juice on my fingers when I was turning the JFC on the upper tank section. I took it apart and tried swapping the lowest o-ring (tank seal). After putting it together I still had a small amount of juice when turning the JFC so I swapped the middle o-ring and that fixed it.

My best guess is that with a side fill atty the juice works its way out from the juice fill port and if that middle o-ring is no good you may experience what I did. That and pulling the top cap off and on for refills probably takes its toll. Perhaps poor quality clone o-rings too. I lube atty o-rings with 100% VG or food grade vaseline as Qorax does and either works well. Eliquid works fine too.

If this ever happens with your X try replacing the middle one or just replace both like I did.

In the photo (from FT) the top o-ring looks to be rather loose to me on the right side.

I don't know about any of you... but I don't think the quality of o-rings on clones are very good. Next I am going to buy some better quality o-rings for the X from The O-Ring Store. I will measure and get a complete set(s) and replace them all. I've bought from them before (for Kayfun's) and their o-rings are excellent quality. They let you buy in small quantities unlike other o-ring suppliers where you have to buy 50-100 minimum.

I also bought o rings from the o ring store for the Kayfun v5 clone. If you wouldn’t mind posting the o rings sizes it would be most appreciated.

My top cap is on there really tight, even though I lubed it using Lubri-Film a food grade lubricant. When I refill it takes a bit to remove.
