Can someone please provide step by step instructions for using a multimeter on the "Elite" with respect to testing the voltage drop "under-load ?"

Appreciate it!

Normally you test the device with just the battery in it and not atty attached. Then test at the atty terminals. With this, the best thing you can do is test the battery voltage and then test at the atty connection. Hope this helps.

um..a few unrelated wordsView attachment 233251

Got mine yesterday, I'm loving it so far. It hits hard, it's lightweight, and small. The only thing I've done to it so far is drill the airhole out to 1/16. I hate the driptip it came with but that's really no big deal. View attachment 236128View attachment 236130View attachment 236133

nice. its good to see this thing with a normal drip tip. for a second there i was beginning to think i was in the minority about the stock drip tip being hideous.

Mine came with a carrying case, the mod, 18650 extension tube, drip tip, extra glass tank, ss mesh, and some kanthal

are you 100% positive its glass? the last video review posted in this thread says plastic. however, this is the second version of the elite, the one with the metal shield over the tank. perhaps the one without the metal shield is indeed glass..

Been using mine for a couple of day and I have to say....I really like it (e.g. lightweight, etc.). Venerable Vaping never fails to deliver and their customer service is par excellence...I HIGHLY recommend them.

One area I need help in however, I cannot seem to get my "KICK" to work. While the product description says Anodized Aluminum. It is my understanding that the Kick will not function in a tube that is anodized considering that the KICK cannot make the appropriate "ground" connection.

What I find confusing is that while the exterior of the tube appears anodized, the inner part of the tube is just your standard shiny aluminum variety. I would think that if the inner part of the tube was anodized it would not be shiny.

Alas, I am no expert in metallurgy so maybe I am mistaken and the tube is anodized all the way throughout (it would certainly explain why my KICK is not working as of now.

So, assuming the inner part of the tube is in fact anodized how would I go about using the KICK in it?

Thanks a bunch

thanks for posting about the kick in this mod. i would highly prefer to have a kick in mine but im not sure on how to make it work aside from sanding the inside of the tube. have you tried that?
if the kick still wont work, maybe try some SLR coils (with the appropriate batts, of course). lots of folks prefer SLR vaping to kicked vaping. id like to try that but every SLR coil i make tastes burnt. :/

Got mine in today and LOVE it!! Very light, but very nice build quality!

Measured 0.0 volt drop on the atty deck.

Both tanks are plastic. Going to measure later but they look to be the same size as the tank on my AGA-T2

Only draw back I see is lack of vent holes!! It has NONE!!

thanks for the update. thats disappointing how theres no vent holes. thats a big problem for me as i have no drill.
plastic tank is also a bummer but it shows promise if the AGA-T2 tube fits. please let us know.
im also liking the 0.0v drop especially because of the inability to use a kick (assuming stock anodization isnt removed, which im not even sure is possible).

I.. bought two of them  vaportek is starting its second round of pre-orders now, any color.

Plastic tank?? :(

I was looking forward to a "glass quartz tank" RainbowHeaven 2013 latest mod Hybrid mod ELITE - HOT Sale e-cigarettes - Product Catalog - Shenzhen RainbowHeaven Technology Co., Ltd--electronic cigarette, e-cigarette, electronic cigarette suppliers

Not too big a deal, once we know its size I can get one here: Shop - Spectrum Tanks

No vent holes. Ouch. Hubby can drill them though. He makes wooden flutes, drilling holes is no big deal.

the photos in your link show two different versions. depending on your version, you may get a glass tank. the first photo shows the mod with no metal sleve around the tank. im thinking this is the quartz tank version. the other version (version 2 i beleive) has the metal sleeve and in the most recent video review, the reviewer states its plastic and you can tell its plastic when you hear the sound of him tapping on it.
thanks for the link on the spectrum tanks. that looks like some nice glass. hopefully the Noble1 and the RainbowElite have interchangeble tanks.

There is virtually no venting. I blew into the tube with both the trigger depressed and with it in the rest position....virtually no outflow.

I drilled four holes (two in each tube). I have to say, it was an easy problem to solve. The drill bit cuts through the aluminum like a hot knife through butter.

There is only one version out so far. There were some pics that showed a different button, but as far as I know, the ones everyone will be getting have the knurled button. One is with the plastic tank installed that has the metal shield and the tank with out the shield is the glass tank. I don't think the guy know's how to tell if a tank is glass or plastic. I have to tap on my AGA-T2/+ to figure out which is glass and which is plastic. The glass makes a different sound than plastic. I contacted him and asked him to check his tanks again so we will find out for sure hopefully.

yeah, i'm positive it's actually glass... i saw a review from lord davon that said they were plastic, so i double checked. I can see how one might assume that it's plastic though. also, it's not actually two different tanks, the tanks are exactly the same, it's just that a tank protector is installed on the device when you receive it. the protector doesn't have any threads it literally just slides over the glass tank.

Rainbow had it listed on their site that the cover doesn't fit over the glass tank.

I talked to David aka Lord Davon and he said he checked and he thinks it is glass and said he is going to update the video or the description or something to correct that. So it does come with a quartz glass tank as well as the plastic tank with the metal cover.

You should try an FC2000 ceramic wick. No more burnt taste. You are most likely getting a short if it taste burnt or the metal taste. You need to oxidize the wick by either torching it lightly before rolling and then again after it is rolled or putting it in the device un-torched and pulsing the coil. Pulsing the coil will oxidize the wick. I liked mesh when I first tried it and then I always got this off taste after using it for a month or so. I switched to ceramics and haven't looked back. They are worth it, so give it a shot. They're not that brittle, just make sure you do a hot wrap with a torch. This will keep it from having micro gaps between the coil and the wick so you won't get any hot spots.

Bit the bullet and took a knife to both.....

One is glass (Sorry for the mistake, it looks like plastic and feels like plastic!) And I can get the cover over both tanks.

Thanks for making sure lol. It's good to know the cover fits over the glass tank. I thought that would be kind of stupid for it to not fit over the glass tank as I would consider that the more fragile one. At least that is the one I wouldn't want getting broke lol.

both of the tanks appear to be glass to me, and the tank protector also fits over both of the tanks as well. IMG_0035.jpgIMG_0042.jpgIMG_0045.jpg

That could be seen the other way around, too. Who cares? No need to diss VJoe or gsmk. They both find vape deals and post then for people who are interested I have no problem with either one of them, and in fact, I am thankful for the info

On the subject of the Op, i should receive my RBH Hybrid tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
