I suppose you can also boil it clean as a last resort... or rinse it as suggested above. I also had to learn to mark my bottles... and guess what, a sharpie didn't cut it, as it rubbed off rather quickly and I dripped some 36mg CaSH Special Blend and subsequently regretted it... now it's all about a ring of tape on the bottle to let me know what's what.

yup not thinking i dripped strong menthol on my fruit atty now i blew it out and re dripped my cherry and it taste minty...this sux how can i get the taste out?? do i have to soak it and clean it?? then let it dry 4 a day.....that sux i dont wanna if i dont hafta

Ouch.

You can always try the Manchurian Candidate brainwashing techniques mentioned below, but considering an atty isn't designed to last forever (Made in China doesn't exactly carry the same connotation as German Engineering) you probably would do best to designate it as your menthol atty and just pick up a spare (marking it as Helen suggests).

Otherwise, you're liable to just waste liquid trying to purge the taste and never truly be satisfied with the results...

blow it out, drip, vape, repeat. Eventually you will get used to mixing flavs.
Personally, if there is one thing I've learned here is that the more I've messed with an atty, the shorter the life. The hundreds of cleaning methods by hundreds of different users has made me a bit wiser. Leave the atty be, don't clean with anything but more juice. The atty will live its life and die on its own, it doesn't need my help by pretending to clean and sterilize it daily or weekly. Hmm, mentholated cherry, you may be on to a good mix for cold and flu season , :D

I will definitely not pretend to know what I'm talking about because I am only 12 days old to Vaping with my 901 & three different menthol juices, some Vanilla Carts, and Apple Carts....

However, I have done extensive consumer research / homework on these forums .... Although there are SEVERAL threads on how to clean atomizers, I have also read plenty of posts about leaving it alone....

I will share what I've done so far... Every Nite I set the atomizer down with it standing straight up...... Making sure the battery end tip is facing upwards, so the juices can drip downwards....

At first I was like this is ridiculous. I didn't think this would accomplish anything... However, every morning its sitting in a puddle of liquid that gravity has drained out of it.... Also feel free to blow in the battery tip quite hard to get it started before setting it upwards for the nite....

Like I said, I am new to this but I am definitely more inclined to try the basic maintenance approach before I start soaking / cleaning etc etc....

I will admit I am anxious to try a few cleaning methods I have read but I'll hold off until theres a problem with atomizer, but its only 12 days old & still working like a champ...:p

I do have a question : Can anyone tell me what the signs or symptoms of my atomizer going bad will be ??? Will it just stop heating , or does it break , or does it clog ???

What is this Everclear stuff, and were in the hell do you buy it.

Ever Clear is pure grain alcohol. You can find it for sale at liquor stores.

I have been using 190 proof Ever Clear on my atty's with pretty good results.

I think Vodka would work well also.

Routine cleaning keeps the mesh wick and coil clean. Which results in good performance and taste.

I have now started to rotate between two atomizers. When one starts to loose performance/taste, I swap with the already cleaned 2nd atty. That way I always have a "fresh" atomizer ready to go.

I seem to be cleaning my atomizers every 2-3 days. Just my preference.

My last atty lasted 22 days (straight days). Pretty good considering I vape heavy and use a 5 volt PV.

They quit producing as much vapor. They will produce a little & still sizzle, but if I can't see the coil glow,I toss 'em. Sometimes I'll do the vodka soak overnight & sometimes it works, but sometimes it don't. This is on my 510's.
I recently got a couple of 306's in a sample pack.BTW, I really like these little units. I had the wick get real dark & it stopped producing much. You can't really drain these. I did the Vodka soak & BAM, it came back to life. So I guess it boils down to if you have time &/or interest to screw around with it.

On getting the taste out,I just vape some pure glycerin from CVS through them, bout 8,10 puffs & it usually goes away. If not,& it's still producing good vapor, I'd probably soak it.
