Do you place any lubricants or other metal conditioners onto these mods afterwards?

The reason I ask, I'm a germ-a-phobe and would not buy a used Reo if I could not sterilize. My nick name for this forum should have been mrpurell.

Submerging the metal Reo mods in water is overkill, in my opinion. I just wipe the exterior and door with a soft cloth, I swab out the atty connector and juice reservoir with a cotton ball or wadded up paper towel, and use q-tips where I can't reach well with a cloth.

Put a tiny bit of Noalox on the spike tip of the switch (inside, where it touches the + on the battery)

I don't have a paypal account can I use a Amex on Thursday to purchase a ReoGrand?

I have already setup a username and password at reosmods.com and received a confirmation email.

Is this all I need to do except camp out online for Thursday's sale?

Works fine with Amex. The reosmods site crawls but when you get to the Paypal/credit card processing it can handle the
traffic. You might want to save your number in a file so you can cut and paste it fast without error. Have the page with model and color you want bookmarked plus a few backups so you can go directly there (you have to do this before he shuts down the site). The site is too slow to cruise around. When it seems like it's doing nothing but hanging don't keep hitting the add to cart button because you'll end up with multiple mods in your cart and it takes forever to get them out. Wait it out and it should come back. Patience and get on right at 7:00 and you should score one.

It'd be nice if people not buying would stay off the site so it doesn't crawl so much, but reporting on how fast things sell seems to be a sport for Reonauts. Good luck to you.

I have blasted mine with the steam cleaner while cleaning attys before ..... that should kill any germs.

I tend not to worry about germs much .... or companies with my CC on file

I've got a bunch of protected Ultrafire 14500 batteries sitting around my house to hold me over until my AW IMR 18650's arrive from lighthound.com

lmfao, I wasn't on Rob's site, but in the lounge with my fellow reonauts wanting to know who got what & what was left. it's not just a sport, it's a lifestyle. Plus we love welcoming everyone that has just purchased their first & has a ton of questions.
