Welcome ! What I am going to say is just what I did, I do not recommend this for others, but this worked for me. My major problem in quitting analogs was replacing the actual consumption of Nicotine. When I first began using e-cigs, my first choice was disposables. I bought a Blu Cig disposable, which tasted ok, coffee ish maybe, but it gave me some nicotine, and if i chain vaped ,it worked, kinda. I next discovered Square disposables which were seemingly stronger, tasted ok and in fact, if i chain vaped them, I got a small buzz. after finding out that the satisfaction of the craving was possible. i took in a deep breath and bought a kit. My thinking was , if i smoked a pack a day of analogs, maybe i should vape in excess of that strength to replace the drive/craving for analogs with e-juice. I bought some 36mg strength e-liquid, and lo and behold, i did not crave analogs, whats more, just for a "reality check", i tried a puff on an analog (my former Brand) and it didnt do a thing for me , except, I found out I really, really hated smoke in my face, in my eyes, and didnt taste anything pleasant when i was on analogs, and more so when i quit them ! As a matter of fact, the experience was sobering in that i found out analogs are nastier to me than i felt when i quit them, and I have a revulsion for smoking tobacco which in hindsight was ironically behind my "chain smoking" behavior, I was smoking about half an analog cigarette at a time, due to me unconsciously hating the feelngs, smells, tastes, and sensations of tobacco use and butting them out. But back then putting the thing out did not give me my "hit", so I was relighting the dang butts, further concentrating the nasty, dirty sensations of having a stinky object radiating infra red, burning in my mouth close to my squinting eyes... in desperation i tried overkill for a couple weeks and it worked for me. Because this method involves taking in a higher than normal (and perhaps wise) dosage of nicotine, I am not advocating doing as I did. But it worked! So if you are desperate as I was, there is a workable scheme to try. Best wishes and I wish you success.

I have always smoked menthol and am finding the morning analogue hard to stop, so tonight I have blended a tobacco flavour with menthol and it is pretty close to a real one, so heres hoping I can totally stop smoking. I love the fruit flavours and am happy to vape day and night, usually one or two flavours. I recently ordered a heap of new batteries including a variable voltage and new flavours, so I am in the experimentation stage having only recently committed to vaping. I love it and so want to be totally smoke free. So good luck original poster- this is an awesome site for info. and inspires me no end in my journey.

I have to ask. Did you fire that medical professional, or was he a veternarian?

It was a close friend who worked in a good hospital who attended a lecture on e-cigs. They said that e-liquid was antifreeze. After a few months when I did some research I realized that you can pay doctors to foist your opinion if you are big tobacco or big nicorette companies. The bottom line is that smoking analogs is exponentially worse than vaping. As for my good friend she merely passed on info she got at the lecture. Perhaps at the time I was looking for an excuse as I didn't completely give up analogs. I haven't found anything dangerous about vaping. I do feel healthier since I stopped analogs. I notice I no longer have that wheeze at nite.

No it was a good friend who just attended a medical lecture on ecigs and passed on the paid for infomercial.
I also want to respond to whoever wrote:
"When they quit thinking a PV is an electric cigarette, they'll quit treating us like smokers and calling vapor smoke. Best not to vape what looks like a cig. or use the word e-cigarette among the uninitiated. Vaporizers are "e-cigarettes" like electric toothbrushes are e-carrots."
Well what does the E stand for in ECF? And who is uninitiated here? Perhaps this forum needs a name change? I generally don't pay attention to labels. The truth speaks for itself regardless of the label.
