I have been using the vision vivi nova for months and am very happy with them. A lot of these reviews are based on a person's view and the equip they used and may not have been used properly. I have read reviews where some hated them and were throwing out heads because they didn't know how to dryburn. Some prefer cartos some atty's and so on. The products come out so fast these days that in a month there may be two upgrades and something that was crap on version 1 may be great now. Try a few different things and use what works for you.

although I love this forum, what works for one person another person hates...

I have a mod, but I still mostly use the egos/joye 510's I started with. most people here think they are horrible, but I like them & I have a lot because I believe in backups. I can't afford to be wasteful!

I carry 3 of the 510s around with me (in a cig case) so the short battery life doesn't affect me. I also use a cart similar to what you should get with your kit. yes, sometimes it floods my atty and sometimes it doesn't wick well, but overall it works fine for me.

vaping will require some fiddling with. don't expect it to be as easy as lighting a cig. most of us get used to it and find it worth it.

also, I don't always follow the way lots of people do things. I only clean my attys when they don't seem to be working well, I clean them as a last resort before tossing them. lots of people seem to routinely clean them.

there is a learning curve with vaping. these days we want everything RIGHT NOW (even the microwave is slow!) but you need to relax and try to not get frustrated.

also, lots of us vape and smoke in the beginning. it can help.

so I suggest ignoring what you have been reading about what you ordered and just try it when you get it. and fiddle with it til you like it. and then you may move on to something else. sell or give away what you don't like.

and liquids. only order small bottles until you have been vaping a while, your tastes will change.

you could look around the link below and see if there is going to be a meet near you, having people help in person is the best!

Genesis are blown up to be so much more difficult than they actually are. Its not like Excalibur and only "the chosen ones" can do it. Took me a couple of hours to get perfect, and once the first hump is passed it takes 3 mins to rebuild.

I encourage every newbie to go for Genesis attys as soon as possible. The sooner you do, the more money you save from not buying mid-tier gears. Just a fact.

thats what my buddy keeps telling me. It really doesnt seem that hard. The most difficult part i feel would be learning to wrap the coil properly

I wasn't able to quit analogs with the 510 kit I got. Too frustrating! The Nova did wonders though, even on the 510 batts. That's when I was able to quit. I have a Provari and ibtank now, and like them better- but the Nova is a hardworking, reliable, inexpensive champ in my book. It's all a matter of finding what's right for you, and that takes time.

We all make mistakes, it's part of learning. You're only mistake was ordering something like egos from China. Just takes too long. That would be more reasonable after you've been vaping longer and wanted something to just add to your arsenal instead of when you really need something. There are lots of good vendors with lots of good sales if you have the time to look around the forum to find them.

Good luck and hang in there. It gets better.

Just noticed how new you are here. The other thing you need to do is get verified so you can access the classified ads and co-ops where you can also find some great deals.

If you haven't started the process yet, go here. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/announcements-news/283955-how-become-verified-member.html

Be patient it takes awhile to become verified. Seems there's always a backlog waiting. You won't even be able to view the classified or co-op sections until you become verified.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I feel a lot better. Now, I just need my stuff to arrive!!! (I have been trying all different juices in the past 7 weeks. I LOVE flavor!)

LOL I feel for you. Also waiting for something from China on a VERY SLOW boat. Knowing it's really not going anywhere quick I still find myself checking the Tracking every 3 hrs which only adds to the frustration :(

Yes, in case you haven't read it enough already, you need backups for your backups, lol! If you can afford it, go ahead & get an extra battery (or kit) from an online store that can have it to you in a few days. Batteries do have a life span, and you'll be surprised at how handy it is to have more than one spare charged all the time......drop one in the driveway, run over it with your car accidentally, & see how quickly you go from happy camper to frenzied panic.....

The prob with ordering direct from China to save a buck or two is the long delay in getting your merchandise -- at least that's been my case the two times I've done it... All I can say is 'hang in there' 'cuz we've all been thru it...

The problem is my savings aren't a buck or two- 4 X Panasonic 18650/ 2250 mah batts and 1 X Stainless Steel Vamo for $57.00 incl. shipping. Methinks I would've be smarter to pay extra for expedited delivery
The best decisions are always made afterwards LOL

Also waiting on the slow boat.

Want my advice: dont get the Provari. At least not right now. 90% of people will tell you to do it. About 40% of that 90 actually know why they need it and want it and know why it is good. The other 50 are fanboys who rave about it to justify their money and feel good about themselves.

I got a couple of guys on here with a $160 Provari who dont even know that a user manual exists, keep asking things that are on page 1 of the manual.

Dont buy into the hype. Educate yourself and know your stuff. Once you understand the general mechanics of devices (which will come eventually with enough research) then decide on spending your hard earned cash.

This game can make you a hoarder and rob you clean. But if you educate yourself and stay informed, it can be a very fun hobby and every piece of equipment you get your hands on becomes much more enjoyable.

Thats like 20 bucks right there. Good deal.

Because of CC fraud i missed a CoOp for the RSST by 2 hours, and then when i decide to spend extra and get it from vendors, they are all sold out. Sad face.

You can wrap your coil using the Petar K method (youtube it) and get a perfect coil in under a minute. The hardest part for me is rolling a tight wick with my bare hands. Getting calluses on my mitts.

Not sure who told you that. Maybe they were using knock-off VIVIs (ive had a couple) But my Vision Vivi Novas are champs. The only atty I wrecked was due to me dry burning to long and popping the coil. Ive had the same atty on mine for a while and I clean it every 2-3 days and change juices quite frequently. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed! Sorry your having the trouble with getting your Ego!!! :(

I second this. If you're using genuine Vision Vivi Novas (there are a million knock offs), than you're using a great product. I've been using mine for close to 2 months now and have been rotating between the 1.8ohm head and the 2.4ohm head, cleaning and letting the other air dry when need be. These things are champs. I second the advice to look into rebuilding also. I've yet to make that leap myself, but will be doing so shortly.

Credit for the deals goes to Vapor Joe  Too bad on the Co-Op. I never got verified cuz I knew I could easily rationalize and spend a small fortune there

depressed and frustrated?, sounds like every day of my life for the last 20 years. :mad:don't try so hard. first step to success-rein in the instant gratification syndrome we all suffer from.if you are buying from china the customs, and postal situation has deteriorated in the last few years. you will wait longer for shipments. it's OK. breath in, breath out. find your calm center. have a cig if you need to. there is no clock here. don't set yourself up to fail before you even start. suggest you stick to US companies if you can't control the instant gratification syndrome.i can't understand why stuff takes so long to ship from Ohio. just an observation. . stay strong. don't be such a (insert appropriate expletive here) if i can do it so can you. take that whiny inner child, and lock him in a closet. god says it's OK to beat our inner child.you can succeed.:toast:

I am STILL waiting for my Ego-T setup from China and trying to make do with my cigalikes. I have learned enough to know that the tank system is outmoded. I haven't even received my kit yet, and already outmoded. I then took heart in the fact that at least the batteries would be better, so I ordered 2 mini vivi novas. They have arrived, still no Ego batteries. Now I am being told that the mini vivis are no good and the attys burn up too fast. Sigh.

Where are you located in FL? I know I thought there were no shops here, but there are actually two. They didn't show up on any listing or web search, and I didn't know until I passed by them. I would definitely go ahead and order an extra ego battery. There are a few places in Florida like wordup ecig that could ship one to you fairly quickly if you couldn't find a storefront. Like others have said, you will need backup batteries anyway. And don't worry about the vivi novas, many people love them. If they don't work for you, you can easily order something different.
