Thanks LOL That gave me a great laugh for the day.

(It's the #1 tourist destination in America for families who travel by car - no joke. :D )

Thank you very much for that link. There is one in Rogers so that could be doable.

I had no idea these things were this fragile. So here would be an obvious follow up question. What is made out there that is bullet proof and works along the same lines as this eGo Twist? And by bullet proof I mean something that is reliable for 4 to 6 months out of the year or more.

Thanks, Mike

Well, down here in Fla-De-Da, we fergit where stuff is...must be the 80 degree weather (muhaha) ;)

Like Bullette said, the Twist isn't the problem, there are soo many delivery systems, and so many people who'll tell you theirs is the best.

You're probably going to have to try a couple of different ones until you find the one you like, same with eliquids. That being said, get a couple of cartomizers, 2.5-2.8ohms, Vivi Nova, Regular or Mini (I like the Mini, looks better on the Twist, IMO), CE3's are realllly great, but you have to fill them upside down (they include a syringe in the pack), a lot of people like the Kanger T2 and T3 clearomizer tanks. Then, of course, there's my new favorite, a 3.5ml polypropylene tank with a CE2 inside.

Hope that's enough to get you totally confused, like the rest of us ;)

The Vivi Nova is not "the best", because there's no such thing; the "best" would obviously be a subjective view, and not a "Universal Truth".

I'll go way out on a limb though and say that they're damn good, and will almost undoubtedly get the job done for you. Either that, or I'm hallucinating this excellent vape I've been having for the last three months, which, in all fairness, I have to admit is a theoretical possibility.

I'd get as many of both the 3.5ml and 2.0ml as you can, or feel like.

Minimum: One of either.

"Good": One of each

"Better": Two of each

"Fantastic": Five of each

"Best": No such thing.

If price isn't an issue, the 2 most bullet proof PV's around that Iv'e used are the silver bullet, and of course the Provari. The silver bullet is the cheaper, but larger, of the 2. they range from $30.00(knock off) to 84.99(tube only). For bullet proof they are hard to beat. Iv'e driven a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder over mine, it still works. Its a simple big battery mod(it will take a 18650 battery) plus you can put a kick in it(variable wattage).
On the other hand the Provari is a more on the expensive side coming in at 211.95(starter kit, standard silver), It is slimmer than the SB but also capable of taking a 18650 battery(with the optional extender cap-19.95-23.95 depending on color). Now the Provari has a 1 year warranty(with an optional 1 year extension). The build quality is hard to describe. It just feels quality. Iv'e had mine for over a year now and have had 0 issues with it. I use it daily.

What you get sorta depends on you. Iv'e known people who are happy with a cig-a-like, and Iv'e seen people who "need" the $250+ mods with the 200+ delivery systems. Best suggestion I could give ya is honestly if you are happy with what you use now, keep using it and play around a bit and see if there is something that will give you more of what you are looking for. But remember to also try different delivery systems(ie tanks, cartos, rba, dripping, ect).

Hunter,

I would definitely get some 36mg juice if you haven't already. I saw you mention you got some from HHV, were they 36mg? I have been vaping for 3 years and still use 36mg. I have some 30mg lying around and it just doesn't do it for me like the 36mg does. I've tried cartos, clearos, tanks, and now the only thing that is satisfying is dripping and having a good atomizer using a VV mod. A great juice that really satisfies cravings is vaporstation Frisco:

Some other vendors that carry 36mg are Tasty Vapor, Highbrow Vapor, and Vapor4Life. Good Luck!

And I was never a menthol smoker, but a juice I use regularly that I don't get tired of and just gives that extra boost because of the mint is Vapor4Life Wow peppermint in 36mg:

Yes, I bought 5 small bottles from them. For me, I didn't really care for any of them. Great shipping, price etc. Just wasn't a flavor that connected with me. I tried all of them and found that anything with PG in it just causes me to hack my head off. Even just raw VG gives me the uncomfortable feeling of hacking uncontrollably.

Good news is, we are working on day 3 now. :D

Yeah, I just recently got some from HHV and they are all ok. I still like VS Frisco for a tobacco juice better. I like Highbrow because you can customize. You can write under the product line how you want it. I always ask for double flavor and a custom mix. I find their liquids thin, even with 60/40 pg/vg, so I tried 50/50 the last time I ordered. I love thier fruit flavors, very true non-artificial flavors, but their tobaccos are not my cup of tea, though.

Congrats on day 3, you can do it!

You want some 36mg.....Heres the best 100% VG 36mg... I have been using it for 2+ years... Tried others but this is the purest that I have found..
I use the unflavored... Use the code ECF20 for a discount... 20%

Thanks for the tip.

I just placed an order with them. Even with shipping they were 15% less than CigNot.

Appreciate it, Mike

And now the other shoe has dropped....

Yesterday my first high quality clearomizer burnt up and I immediately ordered 5 more with express delivery to be here by Monday at the latest. Being that the set is only 2 weeks old it was completely reasonable to me at least that the 2nd one would last me another 2 weeks or more.

Nope - not to be.

It just died about 1 hour ago.

I know I won't make it through the weekend without tearing something up so I am back to resetting the clock on Monday night to try again.

Really crushed over this latest setback.

So, the eGo Twist is cute and nice and all of that - but is crap (IMO) for quality and durability.

With money not a concern (again, I blew $300 a month on smokes anyways) what is "bullet proof" besides the Pro Vari?

TLDR

The Provari is a PV, not a clearo. A lot of things will apply power to a coil. Get 2 or 3 so you have backups. Anything from eGo to vv box mods, to LT to Provari. Decide on removable batteries vs built-in bateries. Get VV. Check amp limits if you want to use dual-coil stuff..otherwise it doesn't matter much.

Clearos, cartos, atomizers...have 10. Or get into rebuildables and purchase some Kanthal wire and wick (like the Vivi Nova mentioned above).

None of this stuff is perfect. It will get you by, but you have to have backup for your backups. You have to want to quit. You have to work at it. Don't give up. Don't let such a minor setback get you down.

You can get all negative about e-cigs if you want. It's easy, since nothing is as simple as smoking. Few (commonly used) things are as deadly as smoking either. So take your pick.

I would go to a Walgreen's near you, they have Blu electronic cigs, that would be preferable to smoking, no? Just get a couple of pre-filled cartomizers to tide you over...

Awwww! I was totally unprepared for an emergency like that once! I hightailed it to a local store and bought every brand of disposable ecigs that I could find! It wasn't inexpensive, but it kept me from buying cigarettes!! It got me through... Might want to try that now that you have a few days down of flushing several thousands of horrible chemicals out of your body! I'd really hate to see those efforts wasted.

What we do here is spend weekly cigarette money on supplies whether they're needed or not. Our local vape shop (which I didn't even know existed until a desperate search lead me to them) consistently asks if we're saving up for the apocolypse... Between my husband and I, we have at least 500mls of various juices, 20+ cartos, a dozen clearos with replaceable heads, 10 empty tanks with 20 head replacements as well and 2 rolls of paper towls cause juicing can get messy!

Don't forget the q-tips and isopropyl alcohol ;)

Mike, have you ordered the Vivi Novas and Twists/Spinners yet?

Again, this is what I would get/have, in addition to anything else you have/want/think you want/feel like getting/falls off a cabbage truck:

A bunch of Novas, the more the merrier, heavy on the 3.5ml's maybe.
A bunch of eGo-class VV batteries/power units.
A bunch of chargers (I will email you (and link to) the 10-place multicharger for eGo batts.
A lanyard and trim ring.
Boatloads of juice in a wide variety of flavors, nic strengths, and PG/VG ratios.

It is a bit of a challenge watching you "cast about" with other stuff, and not have this stuff on hand - but I'm strong, and can handle it.

Well folks - give yourself a high 5 and a simultaneous pat on the back. It looks like the toughest nut to crack has finally cracked.

I sit here 1/1/13 smoke free, easy going, healthier and honestly feeling good about life in general.

I have backups to my backups in place - 3 bottles of 30mg VG on standby - and will be ready to look at 24mg probably next month.

I want to thank all of you for your help and support. I can only hope others gain strength along the way from all of this as I had.

I had mentioned wanting to put together a small convention for a vapefest and have decided to move forward with it. You can read about it here. http://huntersfriendresort.com/sitemap-2/smoke-free-2013/

I intend to work on this throughout the year in the hopes of helping others win the battle with cigarettes. God knows it is not easy - but thanks to these awesome little devices and this forum - there is hope.

All the best, Mike
