I've been dripping occasionally using an empty cartridge and dripping on the atty . I enjoy it at times, mostly at the computer, but now I'm trying to figure out what the drip tips would bring to the experience. How are they different/better than what I'm doing now? Just curious if I should maybe purchase a couple of them. If I do decide to buy some what particular types would I need to use on an ego?

If you're using an empty unmodded cart and have to remove it to drip, then the drip tip would be different since you drip through it. And I think drip tips aim the juice better.

The effect should be the same and you won't have to remove the tip to drip. BUT I would avoid the skinny cute ones as you may end up sucking up juice as you vape. You often have to blow in them. The larger opening tips help to avoid this.

Easier aiming too.

I just got my first drip tips last night and for me they've made a huge difference in my experience. No more taking off the empty cart, trying to make sure I get the juice on the bridge...it's wonderful!

I didn't know I was supposed to get the juice on the bridge. I just throw a few drops in and vape. Been working OK so far but, OOPS! Where did you get yours? I think I remember you have an ego, is that right?

I do have an eGo. I got my drip tips from VaporJunction.com during their Black Friday sale. I got 3 5-packs of CE-2 XL cartos, too. I think between these two items, I might not go back to using the eGo Mega attys and carts again....well, unless I get a drip tip made for the Mega atty...we'll just have to wait until I've been using these for a couple of weeks and see.

I gave up on the cartridges pretty early, probably about a month into vaping. The polyfill was just never giving a consistant vapor due to the fact that it has to make constant contact with the bridge. I got some metal/stainless steel drip tips and some plastic/nylon tips and never looked back; consistant vapor all the time.

I am not a big fan of the metal/stainless steel tips because I chew and hold my e-cig in my teeth as a habit. The metal tips are not kind to my teeth. I love the plastic/nylon tips though and just ordered a couple more the other day.

Forgive my ignorance but I don't even know what a drip tip is. Sounds like a convenient way to fill. I am waiting on a titanium eGo whith some spare empty cartomisers. My cigs are skinny with a tiny plastic casing in the plastic tip. The atty can be dripped on and I've done it. Don't get vapor for long though.

If I were going to use an empty cartridge I would just use a drill or a pair of shears to snip off the mouth-end of it. Then you pretty much have a drip tip with a large opening. Other than the convenience of not having remove the tip (which can be replicated with said method above), drip tips just offer more aesthetic designs, some are contoured to fit your lip better, etc. If you're on a budget, just modify an empty cartridge. If you have a few bucks to spend, some of the drip tips out there are very nice. I wouldn't bother with a cheap plastic one.

Willy posted a picture of a drip tip above. It's just a hollow tube with a large opening. You can drip onto the atomizer without ever having to remove anything, and it serves as your mouth piece as well.

DIY & Drip Tips

You know, in the past month of using my drip tip, I don't drip through it anymore. Too many "off-shots" and sucking juice onto my tongue. I use it because it gives a wider draw than an empty cart and I don't have to line it up with the atty. Everybody develops their own style of vaping, and I think that's what is so cool about it . . . even a monkey can put a match to the end of a cigarette. LOL

had a delrin drip tip included with my ego passthrough kit so decided to try it out. Love the vapor output and a couple drops more often is not a big deal (about the same trouble draw for draw...about 10...as taking out an analog and lighter). I did find that the larger opening meant the draw became too soft/loose for me so now dripping with just the "blank" cartridge which gives a tighter draw but requires removing the cart to add drops. Love the mouth feel of the drip tip shape though so will probably get on the metal lathe and make myself a couple contoured tips with smaller openings to maintain the tight draw that I like. The minimal trouble of removing the tip to add drops is acceptable vs the taste of raw juice when it doesnt drain down through the tip properly. my .02.

I am loving dripping. Pulls are easy and smooth. I am rather new to it so I tend to overload a bit w/ the juice and make a mess but i am learning 3 drops means 3 drops not 7 hah. Juice taste great and clouds are thick!

Thanks. Be glad to have options. Being winter and getting dark so damn early (grrrrrrrrr) I may just use it for an excuse to give myself something fun to do for an evening.
