Ohmygosh.... mensa is gonna take my membership away.

I finally figured out why I've felt so horrible since my very first V4L order arrived. (and it's all V4L's fault! You know I'm kidding!!!!) With my starter kit, V4L graciously sent me lots of yummy sample flavors to try. (all in 36 mg - eeks, I use to smoke ultra lights) You can see where this is going, eh? I saw Stawberry, ohhhh - puff puff puff. I saw Vanilla, ohhhh - puff puff puff. I saw coffee, ohhhh - puff puff puff ..... well you get the idea, I sample puffed (nic overdose) myself sick. ARGH.... I cannot be trusted with grown-up stuff. V4L's too good for me, and should have come with a warning label!

So, now that some brain function has returned, do you have an idea of how much longer it will take before I feel better? ARGH, I can't believe what a dorkwad I am.

A very stupid,

:) Wintering,
You definitely fit right in with this group! :) Some of the samples I got with my kit were the same strength as yours. :) I smoked lights, so I wasn't used to the high dose either. I did get buzzed and a tiny bit sick, but it was well worth it because I haven't had a single analog since day 1. :) In fact, I gave away a pack of analogs last evening that only had one analog taken out of it. (I had just opened it and smoked one before the mailman delivered the kit)
In a day or so you will feel all right, so don't worry too much.

Nic overdose doesn't usually last more than a day, two at the max.

Depending on other side effects of quitting cigs, you might not feel completely "better" until a few months down the road. It'll be difficult to determine whether it's too much nic, too little nic, or just your body getting rid of toxins that have accumilated over time.

There's also a learning curve when it comes to vaping vs smoking. Until your mouth/nose/throat/lungs gets comfortable with the new way you are inhaling things, some drags will make you cough and sputter. That's perfectly normal.

Thank you all sooooo much. {{{group hug}}} I really feel like an idiot! But, I guess we all gotta start somewhere.... and from the way I started out, things are surely looking up! (eeks, can't get much worse, eh?)

I'm really surprised by how ...er... um ... negatively the 36mg samples hit me. I ordered 18mg with my starter kit, so I guess I got double trouble! :| With my next order, me'thinks I'd better go with 11mgs. My "learning curve" really started out in nursery school! Once things get back to "normal" (what ever that is!) I will dip my toes in the Premium, then try the WOW, and then the VG's. Right now, I'm kinda scared to do anything creative. Yikes..... Wish me luck!

it's OK Wintering, we've all, or at least a lot, of us have done the same thing. With cigs you put it out, with vaping you can hit it every second! My roomate comments that i always 'have that thing in your mouth', but she wouldn't like it if I smoked so she's not saying it too much anymore ;)
Hope you feel better soon!
Hey I see you are in the Delta, my Dad used to live in Rio Vista, is that crazy bar with all the stuffed animals still there? Man that place creeped me out, had to leave with all those glass eyes staring at me

Problem I've found is knowing when to say when. Hitting 24mg-36mg, there's no .... that burns your lip and singes your tongue and throat with that nasty "you lit the wrong side, fool!" taste, so there's no automated "knowing" when you've had your fill for the moment. I spent the better part of 4 days walking around in a nic-drunk stagger.

I'm sure we've all been there in one form or another, at one time or another. You're among friends. And on a different side of the fence, bless those samples, hey? Huzzah!

Totally agree! I haven't ventured into 36, but I've been trying out different combos of different strengths between 8 and 24 to find the balance between cravings and nicotine poisoning
