I have been vaping off and on since the first ecig came out such as vapor4life and NJoy.
Not the Njoy now but the very first Njoy and they are different.
vaping helped reduce number of analogs per day but not complete abstinence.
I’m just going to be honest there’s something in analogs I cannot get from ecig and Njoy helped the most but it’s not available using the same ingredients anymore, plus it’s way too expensive.Ill look again at Njoy in case I’m wrong.
I do enjoy vaping but it effects me in a few negative ways and makes me feel like I’ve had too much sugar the next day.
I have noticed even though I like squonk mods the best but tanks like kangertech subtank Mini, wind my own coils, and kayfun 4 or 5 seem to work better for getting rid of urges.
I’ve tried single, dual, cloud chasing, flavor RDA,but I think temperature of vape is more critical for me than I realized and using 15watts on a subtank Mini or kayfun is about perfect.
Gets me flavor, plenty of vapor, plus I prefer long restrictive DL hits over rest.

I’m in a unhealthy relationship that I had to end recently so my smoking has tripled and I want again to try to stop.My eyes and skin look not so great and fingers are yellow.
Is there any new RDA similar to kayfun or subtank Mini that are smaller and lighter?
I think if I can find an on the go type mod ,smaller than Pico it might help in the beginning.
I’m up to 3 packs a day and I’m using 3mg halo TriBeCa .Maybe go up in strength?

How long does it take to get through withdrawals even using ecig?
Are there any support forums online?
I haven’t looked real hard just going through ending a relationship is taking up a lot of energy and is mentally exhausting.
    Thanks

    Hi and welcome,
    Increase your nicotine strength.
After almost 6 years I still use 5mg/ml-6mg/ml daily.
I also have some 24mg/ml (vintage Bobas Bounty) that is amazing on a mesh wick at 20 watts.

Where in the vaping world are you located? Is there a vape shop close to you?
Have you investigated NET or WTA juices? Nicotine Salt juices?(higher nic levels with reduced throat hit)

    Cheers
    I

I’m close to Bolivar and Springfield,Mo.
I’m going to try again and since I have never been able to smoke just one or even control the amount I think I’ll have to make a commitment to not use tobacco.
I like pipes, cigars and used to like scoal or plug tobacco.

It usually takes 5-7 analogs after waking to get out of tobacco hangover from the day before.
One reason I went to 3mg is for sqounking and I prefer to try to keep the coil freshly primed for each hit if possible.
I think kayfun or subtank Mini may need 6-8mg or I can mix 3mg with 10mg to get 6.5mg for example.
If I can get through one day or even half day that would be a breakthrough.
I may need a small light mod for when I go to any places where tobacco might be around or simply not go until I get some stability.
Thanks for replying and I’ll start looking for small mods and tanks for on the go use or stick with Pico.

I think upping your nic level would be a good start. You could also use a "high nicotine" dedicated setup to use when your urges are at their worst. Also, finding e-liquid you like and is satiating is just as important as your gear.

Since you are in a stressful situation I might recommend some WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid juice) in your vape. If you get the wholesale WTA, you can put a little bit in each tank, it contains some of the alkaloids in cigarettes that are more soothing, they are MAOI-A and MAOI-B compounds, and they have an anti-anxiety, anti-depressant effect. You will still have to go through detox (and WTA doesn't help everyone) but I found it immensely helpful as I was transitioning away from cigarettes and trying to detox, I don't think I'd have been successful without it. WTA e-liquid is still safer than burning a cigarette, as combustion seems to be the big killer when it comes to harm. I used them for a limited time but still keep a tank around for "stressful moments." It's far easier to stop using WTA (at least for me) than it was to quit smoking cigarettes. Good makers include Aroma e-liquid and Umbavapes. I'd say Aroma's is more potent and the good standard, but Umbavapes Wholesale WTA is pretty good as well, but far cheaper.

Best of luck, you could certainly look at your setup, but there are also other options. Nicotine salts can also be vaped at higher amounts and if more nic is too harsh, you may want to consider trying nic salt juices at higher nic levels in your tank, just be wary of nicotine overload symptoms as there are claims that it is bioavailable more quickly.

I think you are getting good information regarding your gear so I did want to mention these things.

There is a "Still smoking support and chat thread" as well, so you may want to check that out for more support, though everyone here is going to want to help, and see you be successful.

Best of luck, and I hope you are able to transition successfully.

Sorry about your struggle but don't give up, lots of options are available and finding the right setup is key. Sounds like your not using a high enough nicotine strength with the equipment you have. I also think you should look into WTA liquids, tons of info on it here Aroma Ejuice . With the right equipment, nicotine & flavor(s) success will come much easier.

If your smoking that much and only using 3mg on a kayfun type device at 14 watts, then your definitely not getting enough nic. I would try the kayfun 5 with at least 12mg restricted lung or 18 to 24mg on the kayfun 4 doing mtl and see what happens .

I used to smoke 2 packs a day, that was a year and half ago. Started with 6mg but what did the trick with me was going up to 18mg with Kayfuns (Mini v3 and 5)

Nor long after I went to 12mg and that is still perfect for me.

I’m all for MTL with causal direct hits. When I want to use a RDA I use my Snapdragon 1.5 single or double coiled with very restricted airflow

I don’t vape more than 12 watts, maybe a little more with the RDA and a mechanical but not far from there.

One thing: remember that nicotine hit is not fast when you vape if you compare it with analogs where it is almost instantaneous so anticipate your cravings. I also found that I need strong spicy tobacco flavors (on the sweet side) with 40%PG to have a nice throat hit.

    Best of lucks

Yes, up your nic. Friend at work was a 2+ pack a day smoker. He was dual use on 18mg for a couple of months. Then was Subohm 12mg nic for a few months with no cigarettes and now he's at 6mg.

Everyone is different but you do need to make an effort but again up your nic for sure, I'd say at least 12mg.

I was in a similar situation.... Upon waking I would sit on my back porch and start the day with 5 cigarettes back to back. I started vaping with 18mg juice (peach flavored) and am still vaping the same same over three years later (still at 18 mg). It took a good two weeks for those first cig of the day cravings to subside. To be honest, they still occasionally surface depending on the stresses brought on by work/family.

While I read many people's success stories on here about gradually cutting down on their nicotine content... I have never tried. 18mg works for me. If that's what it takes to stay smoke free for me, then so be it.

Good luck and keep fighting the good fight.

Nic strength depends on vapor volume. If you're sub-ohming you might be able to get by with less than 24mg juice. OTOH, at 24mg you might be able to hit your mod a time or two, get a buzz, and go for a while without craving a smoke.

At any rate, higher nic is your friend right now. You have to replace what your cigarettes are providing and do it with the healthier aspects of vaping and not burned tobacco.

You'll know when you find the right nic level. You'll begin to forget about smoking cigarettes.

I won't tell you what you should do. All I can tell you is what worked for me. Whether it works for you or not is up to you.

I wanted to be tobacco free and I decided that I would go to any length to get there. So I got a bunch of high nic juice (the strongest I could stand was 12mg), went 100% sub Ohm and decided to just stop buying and bumming cigarettes.

Then I took it one step at a time. At first, it was "not now." Then it was "not this morning." Then it was "not today." Sometimes I went back to "not now" or "not this afternoon."

It wasn't pleasant and it took longer than I liked, but "it" passed. After forty years of smoking, I was finally free.

NET, WTA, plain ol' nic juice. They were six of one or a half dozen of the other to me.

stupid as it sounds, while you're transitioning, why not get away from your preferred brand of cigarette and buy a pack of something pretty gross. Like EVE or something weird. Regardless, it won't happen until the day you MAKE it happen. That cigarette that you're positive vaping can't replace, replace it....see what happens.
