oh no! not the killer hitter!! hehe
its ok but it does seem like you got some sort of either shortage between batt and your carto or just a malfunctioned carto.

and im a female to and i felt the same way about carrying around a freakn hunk of metal that looks like a weapon but you know what? at the end, its worth it.
and i figured why vape on a device that gives me more stress and frustration
when i can get something like silver bullet and vape happy and maybe chuck it at someone when they attack me! :D

i was lookin into provari lavatube and all that but silverbullet seems fair with price and seems sturdy enough.

hope you find the one for you hun!

I know that this e cig thing opens doors initially for extravagant expenses.

That said, buy a vv device. While I find the 1.7 ohm cartos to be perfect on a ego battery..... its doesnt compare to the consistency of a big battery on a vv device.

p.s. I find that there one has to be careful with the balance of juice to avoid burning a carto or getting bad hits on an atty.... and getting a good hit (or a good 4-5 hours on a carto)

I've been reading for weeks ex heavy smokers will generally not be satisfied with anything other than vv. I agree with you. I am think I am one of those people. Will still try a new carto to see if that helps. Glad I have my handy ol' yucky Mistic right now. It is saving me from smoking. Actually, not so yucky at all after refilling that carto with good juice. Thank you for your help.

I've got my eye on the GLV-2 right now. I'm with you on the increased time, money and frustration trying to get my nic vape on. I will gladly take a weapon that appears like it is smoking right now. *laughing*... Ha! Lookie... you made me laugh! This is getting better. Should I pay $200 USD to have it shipped overnight? Hmm.. tempting. hahahaha!

Thank you dragonladee. I am a mechanically challenged myself. This is a pain in the tail. I had same prob at first with my ego battery. That was fixed. Overall, I have been impressed with the battery. My 1100 mah lasts 12-14 hours on a full charge vaping regularly. So, what are you using now? Have you found something that satisfies? Please let me know. Thanks again!

If you were closer I'd loan you my Provari in an instant to give you some timew to find another PV. I'm really sorry about all this and judging by the responses many others feel the same.

Well I am getting something and a decent vape... it's just not doing it for me. I honestly think I would cry tears of joy choking on a 10 volt hit right now. Gonna try another carto. If that doesn't do it I'm going for a killer hitter using my credit card tonight. I've tried to keep things small because I am a woman who does not like carrying around anything that resembles a bicycle pump or 70's walkie talkie to vape from. Right now? I don't care anymore. I need big and bad and fast.

Yes, you do make me laugh. And I am not talking about the MINI GLV. I'm tired of screwing around here. Literally. Threads online and threads on my vape equipment. It's insane. I'm going for the big gun. (Overnight shipping still tempting but I would like my gun to be custom colorized... so... not quite desperate enough to carry one that large in dull black and grey.

That is the kindest thing for you to offer. A Provari? Now that's rockin' and rollin'. May as well spend twice as much as the GLV and go for the bling and zing at the same time. Wow. It's really bad when I feel the need to blow my bank account out tonight on a great nic hit. What a feen am I. .... Thank you for such sweetness. Makes me smile... instead of smoke.

I've done it for friends and we're all friends and family here :) In regards to the 5 V I've tried 5 volts and it was far too much for me. Smoked 1 PAD for over 40 yrs very strong Reservation tobacco RYO- so strong people would go without rather than smoke mine. Just be aware that the GLV although a great PV, from what I've heard, is not a variable volt so you wouldn't be able to dial up or down the voltage. Much like the Megalodon or the Silver Bullet.
It's a nice PV but overpriced and there are better out there speaking from an electronic standpoint. I'm a T Shirt and Denim Jeans guy and am happy enough with my Don...big and ugly but a workhorse.
Cheers and I glad/ amazed you still have sense of humor.
Take care.
P.S. I had gifted 4 friends the Kgo Starter Kits and they got together afterwards and gifted me the Provari.

I LOVED the batteries because they last forever compared to the 808's I use, just got frustrated with the switch issue.

My main hardware since I started this last June has been a Volt. I've tried others and still like to experiment but I always end up back on my Volt. 808's seem wimpy compared to the big sharpies and boxes but I like that it's so similar to an actual cigarette. And their cartos are the best I've ever used, hands down. I have yet to kill a single one.

I have 4 18650 batteries left over from my tube mod trials and tonight I was just looking at a really cute 3.7 flashlight mod at Parkes Vaping to use them in-and they're cheap to get into for just the bare bones. I do enjoy the bigger clouds and longer time between charges for those days I want to vape like a freight train lol.

Thank you so much for the good info. I will look into the Volt. I really do not want to continue spending on trial and error. None of us do but I know it goes with the territory. The flashlight mod sounds interesting... and vaping like a freight train sounds like a dream. I would just like to vape. Period. I do not call what's happening now vaping. Still feel very cheated and unsatisfied when I know this can be better. Oh well, I do appreciate all the support I have had here tonight. To me, that is more important than anything. Encouragment makes all the difference. Thank you. And I thank all of your for your time and help tonight. :)

Yup, just checked... at 3.4v my 2ohm boge carto sizzles. If yours doesnt i would suspect poor connection or bad carto OR standard resistance cartos....... if you have access to an ohm meter it would verify the two latter questions.

It did begin sizzling after allowing the juice to saturate a little longer. So.. . I don't think it's dead. And yes, I do need a thingy-bobba-ma-jingy. That thing you said.. to check my stuff. (As if I would know what I'm looking at. LOL!)

Before you decide what to try next, maybe try watching some video reviews of the more popular hardware. They are easy to find on youtube and even on these forums or the sites that sell the gear. I like to see someone actually using them, there is just so freaking much to choose from and everyone has different opinions. I wanna see ease of prep, amount of vapor, cutoff time, etc. I've vaped at higher voltage and not gotten the amount of vapor I get out of my smaller Volt, but the batteries only go a few hours between charges. I rotate 3-4 times a day. They've recently come out with some slightly bigger bats with higher ohms but I haven't tried them.

I HAVE to see smoke coming out of my mouth and feel that burn in my throat to be satisfied, which is exactly why vaping worked for me when the whole gums/patches bit never did. I like that an 808 looks and feels like a cig in your hand, and that made the transition that much easier for me because I think all of that stuff can be just as much a part of the addiction as the nicotine. Also, e-cigs aren't very popular yet where I live and you don't get the 3rd degree in public like you do when you're sucking on a giant mod and people have no idea what it is - I even get a little paranoid that I'll get pulled over and interrogated by a cop who sees me puffing away at some weird hardware at a red light:p

I don't vape tobacco flavors but have heard they like high power (watts) the only way to increase that on a constant voltage device is be going down in resistance. Also if throat hit is what you after thenic level in your juice has alot to do with that. Also know that pg helps flavor and throat hit and vg tends to mute it. Is this carto =,<,or > than what you were getting from your attie? Also what is the ratio of your juice.

Read this on a random fluke... Your advice rocks! I'm totally new to vaping and was trying to figure out how the heck to pick some new juices to try! THANK YOU!

I use the extra large Bloog bats (102mm) they last around 6 hours and from what I've heard they are the same as volt only way longer charge, so you should be able to use volt cartos on them. Great taste, awesome vapor and throat hit, and no fuss. I've looked into ego's and there seems to be a whole lotta tinkering involved. Not worth it in my books...yet

Check out the mods database catalog. You can look at them by type or search and tailor the criteria to what you are looking for. I like the "Browse by Features" link under the main menu. You can narrow the search to those that match what you are looking for.

Have you tried another carto? What ecig is this on? If it's a small, cigarette sized ecig, your battery may not have enough capacity to fire off the carto to the sizzle point. The coil could be open (verified with a meter). The carto could be flooded, in which case you'd hear gurgling noises when you draw. It could be dry and that would produce low vapor and possibly bad taste.

Cartos are best used with 100% PG or a mix that contains at least 60% to 70% pg. Clear all VG juices will work, but any juice that is really dark will eventually clog the pores in the carto filler material. Then, you get poor vaping. I like to fill my cartos using the condom method and let them sit in the juice for at least 15 minutes before vaping. Sometimes, you still don't get good saturation. Some cartos are packed slightly tighter than others and take time to absorb.
