No you're not alone and the post got me curious so I added it up. Within the last two weeks (ok 10 days) I've spent $272.00  but, but, but... I'm new at this, I had to find my comfort zone plus I made some typical noob mistakes. And that includes alot of diy supplies for juice and what-not... that'll save me cash in the long run, right? Besides, I'm finished now. I mean all I really need now is one more 650 twist battery in green and a 10ml graduated glass cylinder. :D

Funny thing though, that's really not that much more than my previous monthly cigarette bills.

cheers,
cho

If I were to figure it out and find that I was $10,000 in the hole, I would be fine with that. I was on 2 different blood pressure medications prior to beginning this "hobby" and now I need neither. Thinking of the savings beyond just the cost of a pack of cigarettes, things such as medical expenses.

If you think you have too many mods, sell or trade them in ECF's classifieds. I am at just under a year and now have just under 30 mods with 2 more on the way (woodies from Maximum Vapors).

Vape on!

I will admit there are some beautiful mods out there. I might at some point invest in something wood. Who knows. But I already spend more money than I should on collectible things. I have a passion for almost all things Disney and I would be afraid to tally up the original retail value of everything I own. (I work for them, so I buy at a discount thankfully).

I totally get the hobbiest aspect of vaping, and know I will some ... but for me personally ... I try and direct my funds elsewhere for the most part. As long as I know I can wake up in the morning and have some kind of working battery (be it my VTube, my VariStack, or an eGo) and some kind of working juice delivery ... I'm okay with it. :)

I'm blind by the all caps. But just like you I went through same phase. I don't mind how much I spend, would spend it on something else I really didn't need anyways. But I like having and learning about the new things or the old. As for E-juice, they are like pokemon, "gotta catch them all" Just so I can taste the best or find a new favorite.

I've been vaping less than a month and all I want to think about is getting a Silver Bullet, or Buzz Pro, or and Empire Mod, or A SmartBox, or a REO, or a ....ty hand-me-down VV box mod, or another Twist, or perhaps a Preggo, the new LavaTube looks cool, or a Smoktech Telescope, nah, heard good things about a VMax, and even better the Provari, maybe the GL2, or maybe I'll build one....

... dammit, I just realized I'm broke, I spent all my money on juices. . . . .

For the amount I smoked a month, the money I am not spending on cigs I am having fun buying things for vaping and not coming close to amount for cigs. All my extra money went to pay for smoking and now I have that pleasure of having that money in my pocket and want to enjoy the chance to buy some things! It is a lot of fun!!!

I started playin' with different mods just to find out what makes different things work. So it was more of a quest to learn the science behind the different devices than anything else. Problem I ran into has been that no one told me how expencive the test equipment can get. You would be surprised by how many ways a volt can be manipulated just to end up doing the same thing.

    A note for the OP.
Writing in all caps is considered shouting on the interweb, so please, hold your voice down.

Yeah bro its like a hobby you have that you wanna make it a collection of items you have at home.... Seriously I have been buying alot of items too on my side although I feel a big regret as I was supposed to save the money that was used to buy those items....so yeah For now I plan to buy one stable MOD so that I can stick to it for a long time

That's my banner. I have spent just over $430...I actually made a SS last night. So, I am behind...but I have a kgo kit, a vtube, a manual telesoping mod, batteries, 4 clearos, 10 tanks, 50 cartos, and a bunch of juice (including enough to DIY for six months without needing anything but flavors). I think I am doing ok.

I dont understand why you would need more mods if you already have too many mods. I think you should settle with one for the time being and adopt your hobby to a better use which is juice hunting. Try to find as many solid e-liquids you can savor as that I think is the real quest for new comers like us. Hope everyone agrees with this approach to fund our new hobby. Happy Vaping :)
