Some of that might be the juice you are using. When i started out i got some 90pg/10vg juice and i couldn't even inhale a tiny bit without hacking up a lung. Then i got some 60pg/40vg and now I can put out a giant cloud of vapor. High PG levels can be killer, and here i was worried that the TH wouldn't be enough when I made my first order.

You are supposed to draw it into your mouth first then inhale. I am a newbie myself (only couple weeks) but I had some trouble at first i found it easier if I drew a little air into my lungs through my nose before I inhaled the first part then take another draw and inhale and then another and blow out a crap load. Sometimes I blow it out through my nose while taking the second or third draw. Mighty enjoyable. If it helps you stop smoking though any way is a good way.

Also, watch your voltage/wattage. If you have issues drawing in vape, dial it down a tad until it feels good *oh that sounded bad* Anyway, I've noticed with some flavours I have to go down to like 6-6.5 watts and others I can crank up to 8-8.5 watts. Really depends on the flavour. My Rose flavour is especially touchy about that and I have to dial it way down to keep the "bite" off of it. If I forget and put that one on at 8 Watts and take a huge draw I am coughing for a bit.

You get used to inhaling vapor. It is harsh/different for a little while, and then you adjust. Kind of like when you first start smoking, except you don't end up with irritated lungs or a smoker's cough. It's weird. I take long, slow drags into my mouth and then inhale. One trick I learned is to use my tongue to keep the vapor from immediately going straight back to my throat. Ultimately, though, do whatever works for you : ) Congrats on switching. Oh, and they definitely like VG liquids in a lot of those videos. I use 100% PG and no matter what equipment, it doesn't produce clouds.

Don't feel bad, neither can I. 50+ years of smoking does that to a guy.

They do kinda over do it in the vids tho. No one stares off into space for 30 seconds while sucking on a e-cig in real life.
Uhm... well... some of us have been caught staring off into space while sucking on an E-cig, but I haven't drooled yet.... I am such a blonde *shakes head*

Lighting, humidity of the room, temperature, and even just camera perspective can make those thick plumes seem much bigger than they really are. That's not even factoring in what kind of liquid they're using, or setup, or inhale/exhale tricks. I wouldn't let it bother me. If you're TH is satisfactory, your flavor is there, and you're NOT smoking cigarettes, it's all good. :)

As others mentioned, the ratio of PG to VG will affect both vapor production and throat hit. Generally speaking, increasing PG will increase throat hit and decrease vapor production while increasing VG will increase vapor and decrease throat hit. Most vendors provide customized ratios and you can try different ones to see what you like the best. For me, 50/50 or 40PG/60VG is an ideal compromise. I find that I prefer to see the vapor cloud to feeling the throat hit. Certainly a psychological quirk, but it makes me feel like I'm getting the nic I'm after.

They use a lot of tricks on Youtube: Vape pure VG, no deep inhale, they arrange lights so vapor seem thicker...
I vape pure VG and can't get vapor like some reviewers vith PG, and on Genesis APV.
A lot of trickery there.
You are giving way to much credit to reviewers! :p I think its funny when people say this stuff Most of us have a affordable Loptop PC and a web cam. I use mostly 70/30 juice so thats what I review with. Heres the big secret Buy good stuff dont get the cheapest clearomizer available and expect it to preform like a quality RBA Good carts, attys and such will produce good vapor if matched with proper voltage. Its really that simple. Your not going to get the best production from a cig alike or from a ego T. But a Mid priced Mod with a good cart or atty will do wonders.
