I needed 24 MG to do the trick for me in the beginning. If you get enough nicotine, you won't crave smoking as bad. At least this has been my experience this past year. Just started vaping 18 and just able to get away with it. But in the beginning, no way. Everyone is different but since you still wanted to smoke I'd say go with 24 for a bit. Hope this Helps.

I don't know why I did it. I bought a pack of smokes and have had 6 today. Better than my usual 25, but still.

They don't even taste good. They taste disgusting. I still smoked them.

I don't know if something about the juice I've got isn't doing it for me, or what. I've got 18 mg and 12 mg of different flavours I'm mixing together (mostly because I just didn't want to waste the 12 mg, which is what I got at first). Should I get a higher concentration?

I would.

I would get some 24mg/ml or even 36mg/ml in a Flavor that Already like and try it. If it is Too Strong, then you could Dilute it with the Same Flavor of the 18mg/ml that you have.

And Don't Kick Yourself for buying a pack of Smokes. How many times did you fall before you learned how to Ride a Bike of learned how to Ski?

The Important part is to Pick Yourself Up and Do it Again.

You can Make It.

Ive been vaping for 6months or so and still havent full quit cigs, ill still have 1-3 a day. Its just easier for some people then others. Id prefer not to smoke at all, but i figure the 1-3 I have a day is far better then 15-20. I hope I will cut back to 0, until then Im not going to let it bother me.

Just dont give up on it, thats the easy thing to do.

Right before I started vaping, I was smoking about ten perfectos a day. I started with 24mg juice and started stepping down the nic as my gear upgraded. That was in October of 2014. Today, after my sons and I removed 10 inches of snow from our 300 ft driveway, we retired to the front deck, where we had libations. I vaped and they had cigars, I didn't even like the smell of them like I used to.

Point is, you will get to that place. I did. You will too.

There's other stuff in tobacco smoke besides just nicotine that's "addicting". Minor alkaloids, MAOIs, and quite possibly the carbon monoxide in the smoke. It may take some time to wean yourself off of that no matter how much nic is in your vape. Some folks find WTA liquid to be very helpful; I certainly did.

50mg/ml seems a bit high and even potentially dangerous to openly handle without precautions. I would take this information with a grain of salt, I am by no means all knowing, but I don't know of any juice besides bases that specifically say "dilute before use" that are in that high of concentrations. I've seen all the way up to 32mg/ml, but no 50mg/ml. (Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. :thumb:)

If you saw how I handled my juice, I'm sure you would be appalled. When I transfer liquids I make quite a mess (although I clean up after me) :) You're subscribing to the nicotine toxicity myth. I've been vaping 45mg/ml+ for the last three months and I'm still here to comment about it!

I started out with 18 mg tobacco flavor, and then switched to 6-12 mg fruity stuff. I keep some 18 mg tobacco around and today I had to pull it out for a while to satisfy the cig urge I got. Worked though.

I've been off since vaping, 2 wks BUT everyday is a struggle and I take one day at a time. I'm an addict so maybe tomorrow it will be with me , each cigarette not smoked is a personal victory and personally this little banner counting the cigs not smoked helps me. I still have a full carton in my closet just in case I need it. I still can't bring myself to throw them away.

Don't kick youself. Any step towards being smoke free is a good thing. I am trying to quit as well and still find myself buying packs when I hit the local convenience store. I smoke one or two when the urge hits but am finding that the experience isn't as satisfying as it once was. I think it is because I am looking for my ADV flavor (currently vaping BWB menthol) and the cig isn't cutting it. You will get there.

Definitely mix things up a bit if its not working!
I have been cigarette free from maybe 6 months now but bought a pack of 20 last week and smoked them all in 3 days! They were gross & made me stink & my breath was gross. But I still want more. I was smoking 6mg and have put it up to 9mg and it has helped a lot. I also need tobacco flavors when I'm feeling like that. I have some awesome sweet caramel and vanilla flavors I love, but also have a non sweet tobacco flavor (it is the least sweet tobacco I have but im still going to keep looking for an even less sweeter one).

I don't ever want a cigarette since vaping but if I think about smoking one and how good and satisfyin it might be, then I'm liable to go buy a pack and smoke one even if it taste bad. I've done that 3 times in the last year. It seems to be a mental thing rather than a physical addiction. Vapin satisfies me much more. My advice is don't let yourself think about smoking period and you'll have less of a problem.

This is really important advice. I tend to focus on success threads since they are helpful and motivating. I notice a higher level of successful switching from those members that say, "I never looked back." It recently occurred to me that my previous failures to quit smoking were almost always because I not only looked back, but I also tended to embellish the though of how wonderful having a smoke would be, and then I would feel hopelessly addicted and give in. I think this is why Allen Carr always said, don't try to not think about smoking, but whenever you do think about smoking, always focus on how happy you are to be free of the bad part of being addicted to cigarettes, even if you have to perform this exercise a thousand times each day. "A positive frame of mind is essential, always."
