This is how sad Elk Grove is...
Hubs had a drop off and a pick up there last week.
He dropped off and got loaded.
The "supervisor" came by and asked him if he was loaded and ready to go, he said yes, she said ok I will be back shortly to sign you out.......45 min later, he starts talking to other drivers waiting to be "signed out" (some have been waiting for over 2 hours) hubs goes in the hub and finds out she LEFT FOR THE DAY!!!
She just left, and left about 7 semis there waiting.... all with deadlines!
And if they are late leaving a hub guess who pays the fine? Us thats who, the USPS is fined $100's everytime they hold up a shipment, this happens all the time.

I'm going to call up there and impersonate a USPS rep of some sort and scare her... or at least record it for laughs!... what was her name?

I'm getting a little nervous about my order, after reading some of the posts here. Granted, it's only been a few days, but the tracking still shows it as "shipping accepted", and nothing more. I saw the express shipping option for my kit, but it would cost substantially more, and I figured the regular shipping would be ok to get it here in 2-3 days (which USPS' website still says the delivery date is expected on the 27th).

I ordered my first E-cig, a complete ultimate ultimatum package and extras, and I'm really excited about throwing out the analogs I have left! I guess I'll buy a couple more packs of smokes tomorrow, and just be more patient.

I don't mean to suggest how to do business either, but maybe it's time for V4L to swap to UPS, considering my shipping cost should have been enough to pay for UPS ground, which the UPS website states as a 2 day delivery between their location and me.

Granted, a well know juice producer shipped my juices via USPS (from a simliar distance, but different area of the country), and they got here super fast, so it's clearly an issue of the USPS hub near the seller's location.

bladebarrie,

The # you are provided is not an actual tracking #, it is a delivery confirmation #. Sometimes your package will get scanned along the way and work like a tracking # and that is very helpful. But this will not always happen.

If you think it has been too long in arriving, take the # to your local PO. It's my understanding they have a different system than what we view on-line and they should be able to find your package for you. If they can't find it, let V4L know that it is lost.

Good luck, I hope you get your order soon.

Ah, I see. I'll give the PO a ring tomorrow, if it's not here by the evening, just to check in and see if they can verify it's on route.

Thanks for the tip!

Well OP, some times USPS messes up and it does get lost, I have had that happen on ebay. The seller actually calls me when he sends it because I usually order from 1 seller. But he called me and said it was shipped, I waited 3 days, because he lives in PA and I am in NY, so I called him and he swore he shipped it, I got it 7 business days later not including saturday. I asked the mailman and he opoligised and said it did get lost. So just keep your head up man, mistakes do happen a lot with the mail.
