I don't look at vaping as a one or the other option. I do what's right for me. Sometimes I vape, sometimes I smoke, and most of the time I do both, but not at the same time, lol. There seems to be this mentality around here by some that if you vape you can't smoke, that's crazy.

And that is completely up to the individual, for me it is either or. I either vape or I deal with the health issues caused by smoking which seem to be lessened by vaping. It's not because I vape that I can't smoke but my body telling me that vaping has helped, I can't ignore this. To each his own and I wish you the best on your path. Which in a round about way we are saying the same thing with different conclusions. :)

Like others have said, get a disposable if you can, or anything other than a cig.

Here's the deal: The 3-week point (your NOW) is the nastiest point for many. But it all gets better from here IF you stay off the cigs. See, there's a bunch of extra chemicals in tobacco that interact with the nic. So for many of us there's still withdrawal from tobacco even while vaping (or using other nic sources). Vaping helps a lot due to the habit part, and the easy to control your nic-level part. But it has to work for you first! ;)

Hang in there. Stay off the cigs if you can. Get backups. If you "fall off the wagon", get right back on.

Wishing you improved health and good luck.

I am right about that point myself, and last week I had some serious urges to smoke. I bought some higher nic mg than normal juice and it helped me pull through, but if my stuff broke like the OP I would've been real close to giving in. Like Atty said backups, backups, backups.

I agree that sometimes, feces occurs, and if you fall off, try to get back on as quickly as you can, before those hooks get any more deeply embedded. If I had not smoked after my appendectomy, I would now have almost 9 months smoke free -- instead I'm just about at the same time smoke-free that I was at the time I had the appendectomy, and I'd love to kick myself right in the .... for smoking again, but I know how awful it was, and how it seemed I really couldn't do anything else -- I'm just glad that once I did manage to get smoke-free again, and those cravings started up again 10 days in, I had some WTA by then, I added it, and it worked, the cravings went away and stayed away.

3 weeks is a really rough one; my first time around, I didn't have any hardware issues or even any cravings at 3 wks, but I was so depressed, I just went to bed and cried. It was over pretty quickly though, maybe a week, and my delight over quitting smoking came back. This time around, at 3wks, I had the WTA, so no depression. :thumb:

It's either/or for me, too -- I said all that "I'll never smoke again!" stuff the first time, so I guess the universe had to test me, with the appendix fiasco. Now I just say, I hope I never get tempted that hard again, but if I am, I plan to resist a lot harder, because I really don't want to ever smoke again. I like being smoke-free too much, as improbable as it is -- truly a miracle!

For me, the success in quitting is doing it by your terms. You will get bumps in the road, but if you really want to smoke, you can do it. It is always their for you.
Also, some gas stations sell cheap tanks. Last time I was in TN, shell stations, and mapcos sold them.

Don't beat your self up, quitting is hard.

To be perfectly honest that is where I started vaping, I had a bad report at a doctors appointment and bought an "ego" type vaporizer and some menthol juice at a Shell station by my house. I had a few slips till I got into my first mod with a Nautilus from a local B&M. Soon after I got into rebuilding, and my first mech. From then on it was easy peasy, now that I have the Reo/Nicoticket cigarettes are a distant memory and can't ever see going back.

Your allowed to smoke, don't beat yourself up about it.
Yes it's the ones you don't smoke that matter more

I think many people just don't want to go back to the stinkies and it's too easy if you let yourself have 1 to have more. I couldn't smoke and vape as smoking tastes horrible after vaping, but I could easily go back to smoking if I couldn't vape for some reason. Each to their own though and there is nothing wrong with what you do if it suits you.

Some good words flyin around here. Smoke if you want to, but my guess is that you don't want to.:)

It's funny, I still vape quite a bit of tobacco flavors - like most I've branched WAY out from them but they're still always in rotation.
Here in Seattle the faux powers that be tacked on vaping with the established smoking ban so I often have to go out with the smokers. At work I stand in our deck smoking area regularly with smokers (and 1 or 2 vapers) and honestly it doesn't bother me like I thought it would. In some ways it reminds me that i don't want to - just smelling the side stream smoke and the stale smell of those folks makes me realize while standing there that I'm enjoying my vape WAY more than I ever (or at least hardly ever in the last decade) enjoyed a smoke. Never thought I'd say anything resembling this.... I was worried I'd be a "lifer".

I wish they were at gas stations when I started. An ego and ce4 was enough for me to quit, sadly I went to a B&M that only sold joye starter kits, so I dropped $60, and ended up getting into mods a month later.

I still have some of that H20 juice in my center console, I guess I should throw it out at some point. :p

Those vuse things are so bad! I had a coupon for free batteries and cartos so i was willing to at least try them. They are so harsh. I took 1 apart out of curiosity and they are the older top coil cartos, which might explain why they suck so much.

Anyways! I can recommend keeping a spare evod and a few coils for times like this. It will cost you under $10 for everything and they are really good performers. The same evod i got on day 1 is still used today. IMO it is the best tank for the price. I can use citrus flavors, NET's.. whatever and it still hasn't even cracked after 6 months.

Ugh. This is horrible.

I quit analogs 3 weeks ago with the help from vuse. After that, I found this forum and educated myself (I stalked before joining). I ended up purchasing a silver bullet from altsmoke.com and their generic tank that comes with it and I was so, so happy.

But, being a newbie... I didn't think about ordering extra atomizers or even think about getting a high grade clearomizer until I read more deeply into these forums. I called on Tuesday morning and ordered a genitank mega. ETA, Thursday.

Thursday, my generic tank broke. I thought "no big deal, my genitank will be here soon." It didn't come. Friday it still didn't come. I started vaping on the vuse again hoping it would get here on Saturday. Nope. I called altsmoke and they are sending me a new one out STAT. It will be here tomorrow afternoon.

I'm having to buy cartridges for this vuse like crazy. It's almost like smoking a real cigarette, almost like a harsh camel. It's shaped like a cigarette. It makes me want to smoke an analog, BAD. I'm really tempted to go to the gas station and buy a pack of Marlboro's to get me through until my genitank comes tomorrow. IF it comes tomorrow.

I'm so frustrated and all I'm really doing is venting and looking for support.

Thanks for any support or guidance,
Dani

PS- This is NOT altsmokes fault. It's the USPS's fault. I hate them right now.

From personal experience the VUSE are very strong(High in "nicotine"). I heard one guy say something about like the juice in there is very high in MG. Somewhere like in the range of 44MG juice. I dont know how true the 44MG juice theory is, maybe he contacted them I don't know. But from personal experience they are very high in nicotine and do not hold alot of juice...So your basically addicted to them from the high nicotine level and burning through them quickly because of the very small chamber of juice they hold. That is why you are running through them so fast, they don't hold alot of juice, probably in the range of a half a ML, which is basically nothing to someone who smoked alot or vapes alot. Most people who have been vaping for a while use multiple ML's a day depending on the type of gear they are using. Hang in there and best of luck from me. Hopefully you will get your gear soon and be happy again! :) Cheers. :)

I slept on it and rationality kicked in last night. I feel better. Like you, I can't smoke analogs because I was diagnosed with moderate to sever lung obstruction. It's really not an option.

<3 Thank you, girl!

I feel much better after sleeping and waking up a little. I'm going to head to the big city to one of the B & M altsmoke stores. If my new Geniank(s) come, I'll just have extra on hand if something like this happens again.

Now, do you guys want to recommend a cheaper device to keep around in case my silver bullet break and I'm not in this situation again? It would have to take the 18650 batteries and the Genitank mega. I'm really looking for your replied on that one. I'm sure there's not any with the strength of the SB, but close is fine with me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Without this support, I would have been at the gas station last night.

If your happy with the Silver Bullet get another one as it's what keeps you sane that matters, if you would rather go for something different I would go for something like an Eleaf Istick...but that's just cos I want one or did until the voltage problems came up, maybe a Joytech Egrip ...mmm too many to choose from and I keep seeing thing that then have a small problem so want to wait till they fit it by which time something else is out. Sorry no help here I'm just confused and sticking with my mechs, a vamo and an Itaste V3 till I can decide what semi powerful box to buy.
