Actually an ego with a ce4 is the best thing to keep around in case of emergency. I love my patriot, my TOBH Atty and my Magmum but when I am on the go taking them is cumbersome to me so I keep a large selection of Ego-T's ( @ 15) and a large selection of CE4's ( maybe 40 of them), CE5's ( 50 ish) T3S's and MT3's ( no telling lol) on hand for constant use.
When I am at home I can sit back and enjoy some serious dripping while lounging or keep on using one of my smaller tanks if I am really enjoying a flavor and when I am active I always have a few ego's in my pocket where I can vape when I want and not have to stop and drip.

Am very happy for you not breaking down and having a smoke. I am over 3 months without one and dont know if I could go a few days without a vape yet.

If your happy with the Silver Bullet get another one as it's what keeps you sane that matters, if you would rather go for something different I would go for something like an Eleaf Istick...but that's just cos I want one or did until the voltage problems came up, maybe a Joytech Egrip ...mmm too many to choose from and I keep seeing thing that then have a small problem so want to wait till they fit it by which time something else is out. Sorry no help here I'm just confused and sticking with my mechs, a vamo and an Itaste V3 till I can decide what semi powerful box to buy.

I got an eleaf Istick last week and keep a Kanger Pro III on it. Love it and no problems with it yet. Battery last a couple days for me.

Also -- I forgot to add this to my posts last night -- pop in to the Still Smoking Support and Chat Thread -- great support in there; lots of folks that have wrestled this alligator many times over, or are still wrestling it; warm, wise, supportive, and a fun bunch to talk to, anytime! They helped me a lot when I had my lil relapse this summer, but I keep hanging in there because they're just fun. :D

OH BOY!!!

Talk about some retail therapy!!! I had me some fun!!! Haha, I really don't talk like that in real life. :) I spent wayyyy too much money.

I went to the Your Online Electronic Cigarette Store - AltSmoke B & M in Columbus, Ohio. I was waiting at the sidewalk at 8:55am (they opened at 9). I had never been into a vaping bar.

They sat me down at a barstool and made me feel like a princess. I got to try all kinds of flavors, they even offered me coffee. I am so impressed. I got to experience a real vaping bar experience and it was amazing.

I ended up purchasing a little aspire clearomizer until my genitank comes this afternoon. I also bought and eGo-C Twist for emergencies like I had over the weekend. It's pink and really cute. Best of all, I picked out two really yummy flavors, Nicquid's Soho (which I'm vaping now) and Cyclops vapor, Colossus. It tastes like cream brulee. Unbelievably delicious. I also picked up five 0.8 atomizers.

This country girl doesn't play around with retail therapy!!!

When hubby comes home and sees the debit card statement, I might be singing a different tune. ;)

Thank you, ALL for your support. I was so close to going back to those nasty analogs. If I wouldn't have had this board, I would have. I appreciate the support so very much.

And if you're in Columbus, the B&M store is on High street. Katie treated me like a princess and I WILL be going back. Check them out, you won't regret it.

Take care, and thanks again,
Dani

Way to go!!

That's an easy one -- if he says anything, just say, well, would you rather I went back to smoking? That's only {whatever astronomical price a carton of smokes costs up there}. ;)

But now I'm jealous, I want a real tasting bar like that one, with some good flavors. I've tasted everything at the one nearest me, and although some are pretty tasty, they're all 50/50 PG/VG, too much VG for me.

Boy, I wish there were one, but no- not anywhere close. Columbus is the closest store that I've found online. Michigan is about 3 hours away. I live on a dirt road surrounded by farms, lol. Grew up in the city but hubby moved me out here darn near 20 years ago and haven't left since. The nearest Walmart/Kroger/Grocery store is 20 minutes away! It's crazy. But it's the price you pay to live in the beautiful country.

Take care,
Dani

Ask at the cig counter at Walmart. Not much there but I do believe they will have a simple semi disposable clearomizer that will get you through. then just try to vape through cravings.

The first part of this thread made me sad, but about the time I got to this, I had a big smile on my face. :)

If it comes to that, you're story is "But honey, don't you want me to be happy? Don't you want me to quit the cigs?". And it can't hurt to point out that long term, vaping is cheaper than smoking.

Thank you, ALL for your support. I was so close to going back to those nasty analogs. If I wouldn't have had this board, I would have. I appreciate the support so very much.

I've been off the cigs for 3 years now, and I wouldn't be able to say that if it were not for the support at ECF. The support you get here here is great. :)

I wanted to mention, backups, backups, backups. If you have a mod that uses batteries, you need extra batteries, and an extra mod, just in case. You could lose it, it could be stolen, it could break. You need extra juice. You need extra tanks, and extra atomizers for those tanks. You need a primary battery charger, and you need at least one backup battery charger. You should have an option so that if the electricity goes out for a week, you can charge your batteries via your cars cig-lighter-port.

I do all of that, and I live in Dallas, where I can drive in pretty much any direction and pass a B&M vape shop in 10 minutes. Heck, the closest one, I could *walk* in 10 minutes. But when I started, there were few vape shops around, so I had to plan ahead and order online. I'm still in the habit of making sure I never run completely out of anything, and I always have backups, just in case. Computer geeks like me have a term - multiple redundant backups. It can save you a huge headache.

Guess I should be grateful that I have vape shops within walking distance of me. I couldn't imagine having to drive 1.5 hours during an emergency but would probably do it if I had to.

I've always cursed the prices in these local stores such as $65 for an MVP or $25 for 30ml of some Halo and $3 to $4 for coils but with such convenience, perhaps I shouldn't.

Baldr,

YOU put a big smile on MY face. I was grinning ear to ear with your cute message. :)

Thank you for the info. I went to Your Online Electronic Cigarette Store - AltSmoke and ordered a TON of everything you said, even the extra battery charger with the car accessory. I WILL NOT be put in the situation again!!!

Here is a little pic of my set up. Notice the extra large mouth piece, lol. I know it's silly but I LOVE it. It gives me a great vaping experience.

Thanks for being awesome,
Dani

It's probably not what anyone wants to hear and I hate to say it, but when i feel like that, wanting a real smoke SO bad. I just have one. I keep a pack of smokes around just in case. Because i'm an addict and I have no luck, so I don't want to have to hunt down a pack in the middle of the night when all my equipment fails at once. lol.
But i've noticed they taste worse and worse every time. I bought a 25 pack two weeks ago, there's still 22 in there.

There's nothing wrong with being honest. But you're right, I am a grown woman and can smoke if I wanted. But man, it took me 22 years to put those things down and I really didn't want to go there again after 3 weeks of being "clean." I have back-ups for my back-ups now, so I think I'm good.

Thank you for your input,
Dani

If you need one Maiar, go for it. No one is going to judge you but as time goes on you will find yourself needing it less and less and then that magical day will arrive when you no longer will need one. I still have half a pack in a dresser at work and if I need one, I know where it is. Haven't touched it in 3 1/2 months but I know they are there just in case.

Yup build depth in your supplies, at lease double of everything and have enough juice and coils (if you use them) to last two weeks. Take backups when you leave the house, don't take just one battery and clearo or atty. Also make an emergency kit and put it in the glove box, a pass through would be good to have in the kit. I was on a long trip, took two battery's and clearo's, both battery's died both within five minuets. I had a car charger but it wasn't a pass through and I ended up buying a pack of cigs to get me home, that will never happen again!

I've been vaping for three years now, I too started with the little gas station ecigs and spent a ton of money on them and I don't have deep pockets. Then I heard you could buy juice and refill the little carts, thank God a web search brought me to this forum! I lurked and learned, shopped for deals and slowly was able to build depth in my supplies. Now I'm making some my own juice and rebuild my coils, with the things I've learned from the good folks here my vaping has become fun and much cheaper! Good people on this forum! :)

back ups of back ups *lol*

another little trick for those first few months..is keep a stronger nicotine juice on hand in one of those "back ups" for "those" craving moments..I still keep an 18mg on hand "just in case" in an old protank2.

a couple hits of that..and you're good, the eebie jeebie craving is over soon as it came on...

as the months go on..those times will be less and less..

good luck!!

Good tip! I still use clearo's as my main vape gear, I drill out the holes in the bases and open up the hole in the center pin of the coil to double the air flow, much better then a stock clearo. But I also bought a couple regulated mods, drippers and tanks because I thought I was missing something, it was fun but I went back to my clearo's. Now I use a dripper when I first wake up to get nic in my system fast. Same nic level I always use, just a dripper will get you more in a shorter time. I made my own coffee extract and juice from Dunkin Donuts coffee I ground at home, I like that in the morning with my coffee.
