I haven't told "her" yet. "He" is an eVic-S with a body of steel and a level of power unprecedented in his family. I think it'll be love at first site for them. I can't wait to see 'em together, as I'm just certain there'll be electricity flowing between them.
(And maybe we can get some closure after the events of "Hell Hath No Fury", eh?)
So I'll finally put to use this gorgeous G50 mega tank that has been sitting on my desk for several weeks now. Ever since it's been here, I pick it up every now and then and draw a bit of nothingness through it, closing my eyes and imagining the tasty vapor, just to feel how open and free-flowing those three air holes are gonna make my new vaping experience.
My only (very minor) concern with the G50 is its drip tip. I've been using a Triton all this time, and have gotten used to its very comfortably shaped plastic mouthpiece. I don't know the appropriate term for it other than "mouthpiece". It doesn't seem right to call it a "drip tip" since it comprises the entire top cap of the tank. Halo refers to them simply as "tips". Oh well, it's not important.
As I'm sure many of you know, the G50 drip tip is nothing much more than a straight, cylindrical metal tube. It's just not as comfortable as I'd like it to be. So, when I placed my order for the eVic-S this morning on Sweet-Vapes, I also bought one of their brushed stainless-steel rotating drip tips for $4.50. It looks a lot like the ones on Innokin's iClear tanks, only it's 510-compatible. I'll still have to get used to the cold touch of a metal tip rather than the more neutral temperature of the plastic ones I've used thus far. But I do think I'll be happy with the new tip's shape and swiveling feature.
I do still love my Halo Triton and G6 kits. They're what got me off analogs, after all. Well, I suppose me actually wanting to get off of them and making it a priority had something to do with it, too. I recently bought two more Triton tanks, giving me a total of four, which will still be great for trying out new juices, and for portability. Even with the longer Triton VV battery, the eGo-sized battery/tank combo is compact enough to fit nicely in my pocket. Great for working in the garage or in the yard, where there's no safe or convenient place to set down a big mod sporting a big tank. And I've always liked the design and build quality of all of Halo's products. Even though the eVic-S and G50 will become my main rig, I'll never abandon my Halo kits.
Needless to say, I'm excited! I bought the eVic-S from Sweet-Vapes. They were one of the only two vendors that I found who had the stainless steel eVic-S in stock last night and this morning. If they ship it out today, USPS Priority Mail should get it here (Wisconsin >> Georgia) on Monday or Tuesday of next week.
Oh, and today is also my 4 Month Milestone! How great is that? Buying my very first mod on the day I begin my fifth month smoke-free............ OK, which day I buy the mod isn't all that important. But did I mention I'm excited?!?
So I know what I'll be doing for the next few days. Counting the minutes.
P.S. - Has anyone tried one of these stainless-steel rotating drip tips from Sweet-Vapes? They don't specify a brand, so I would guess it's a generic product that multiple vendors carry but which never sports any specific name or model number. I'd like to find out if anyone else here who has one could tell me how reliable it is. The swiveling feature concerns me the most, as it could possibly become either loose or jammed if it's constructed too cheaply. But if it works well, then I really think it'll do justice to the G50 mega tank.
