Hey Fellow Vapors,

I've been vaping for almost 5 years now and trying desperately all that time to find some liquids to enjoy other than my standard straight menthols (DIY Flavorshack and Digitalciggz) and peach menthol (Volvapor) with no success. I'm a supertaster and everything else (besides some other straight menthols) tastes like perfume, incense, or soap and I hate all tobacco liquids. I've asked for suggestions from other members and nothing has worked. I'm NOT going to start DIY'ing liquids at this point so I'm giving in and sticking with my tried and true juices and carto tanks. No need to keep wasting money for liquids that I can't vape and then not able to return or sell. I can't take it anymore!

Likewise with building/rebuilding. What's the point when I can get a perfectly good vape out of my Vaperev and Ikenvape cartos and I only vape two liquids anyway?

When I smoked for 20+ years I wouldn't touch anything but a Newport unless I was too broke to buy them and then it had to be a menthol. Why do I need any more variety and/or super clouds now?

I can relate. I've been fortunate enough to discover 8 liquids that I really like but I've decided that it's time to stop the endless search and stick with those.

I'll still try some new liquids every now and then but not until it has been awhile since I tried something new. Or maybe if I get bored with one of my favorites.

I have to admit that I have better peace of mind now that I'm just enjoying what I have and not searching constantly for something better.

As soon as I was introduced to the Velvet Cloud Vapor "Strawb Gawb" I knew that this is going to be the flavor I stick with for awhile. Right now, I'm just trying to burn off the generic Grape I bought (not great, not horrible) and the Black Cherry/Grape mix I concocted (mixed a bland Black Cherry with a VERY potent-tasting Grape). I still have about a bottle and a half of my Strawberry Guava and I'm saving that for later because it's a bit expensive here in Hawaii!

I give up as well. I keep buying 10 flavors at a time trying to find that "unicorn" flavor that will make me buy just one juice.

I just keep adding 6 or 7 flavors at a time to the ever growing spreadsheet of juices I have to keep on hand.

I feel silly keeping 40 30-50 mil bottles of juice on hand :p

I agree, you have reached the point most are searching for, not all but a lot. Even with DIY you can end up with more duds then studs. Some people will always want to try the latest equipment and some the newest liquid, but I think finding what works for you takes the uncertainty out of it. I'm still searching for an ADV, so I DIY and purchase pre mix. Just started using WTA and at this point at least know that I want WTA in my liquid. So you really are ahead of the curve, that it where I want to be.

Like you said if when you smoked, you bought the same brand, knew what you were going to get every time. I don't want a tobacco flavor exclusively, I want a few flavors that are my go to's always and then if I decide I want to try something different now and then I will, but until then the search continues. I do have a few contenders but want to try more flavors before I commit. The frustration can be maddening.

I totally agree about the frustration. With me I after I joined ECF and got some advice I found a light tobacco menthol to get me through my cig cravings and except for the one peach menthol that I vape after dinner my ADV has been straight menthol ever since. Up until now I've been going about 6 in beteewn binges months until I can't stand looking at the liquid reviews anymore so I buy about $200-300 worth of liquids that I wind up stuck with because the vendor won't take them back and I can't sell them (my inventory is pretty ridiculous at this point lol).

BTW, what is WTA?

As far as Rebuildables

there are 2 ways vape with Rebuildables I've found

1 some devices work better for more vapor clouds at the expense of less flavor these work better at lower ohm's

2 some devices work better for flavor not the biggest clouds but the flav is excellent

Ive always been a flavor chaser and I can tell you after vaping with Igo-L I started to notice the muted way of my carto tanks
I did not believe it fist after a few month's I ended up tossing my carto tank's
couldn't take the muted flavs

In fact there are many flavors I vape I don't think would have made my rotation
If I've only vaped them in carto tank's or clearo's

these complexity is often lost in those type of devices

I also likewise cannot get the same satisfaction of flav in my duel coil atomizers like nimbus or trident Both are better then clearo's and cartos but the flav is not anywhere near as good as IGO-L or kayfun
get bug clouds though

but I'm finding clouds don't excite me

I've read you are a super taster so then I'm sure you can taste the materiel in the carto
I know after vaping in RDA's I began to notice threes a carto taste in carto's

Can you start trading them off? I think the most I've ever bought from an unknown (to me) vendor was $80 and even then that's just because I get a case of the gimme's. I'm sorry you haven't found a good contender, but on the other hand, it sounds like you can say more definitively than most, that you've tried and not found anything you like--rather than those who buy from maybe three companies and then post a thread complaining and saying they'll give up.

anyway, sounds like you should just not purchase anymore and then trade for parts or liquid (because who knows-- maybe a unicorn will wander along.)

I feel guilty sometimes. I'm like, this is great and vape it all day. Then I am like, I shouldn't just vape this one juice, there are so many out there, has to be one better. But, I am starting to see what I like. Didn't think I would appreciate the subtleties of coconut mixed into a juice. Now I love it and I even vape a menthol pina colada. Love it... So I say stick with what works for you. As long as you don't go back to the stinkies then good on you!

I can totally relate to OP. What I did is try a gillizon different juices to discover what I liked. With that (sweet tobacco) I built a flavor profile and now blend 1000ml at a time of my ADV. IMAG2441.jpg
With the $$ $aved I've been able to invest my cigarette monies into something I can really appreciate. IMAG2977.jpg
DIY, you should try it sometime.

I've tried a few rebuildables: Kayfun Lite, Kayfun 3.1, Trident, Nimbus, Diver V1, Kraken...
Here's my problem, I taste everything... coil metal, cotton, silica, everything... and since I am a supertaster making bad flavors more clear and sharp is worse for me. My two good liquids don't taste any better to me in a rebuildable that they do in a carto or for that matter in a Protank2 with a Protank 3 airflow base (the only clearo coil that I can stand). I don't mind the carto muting because I haven't found a coil wire (either round, flat, Kanthal, or Nichrome) or wick material (cotton, silica, or even XC-116) that I like the taste of.

That's an idea. I wouldn't want to trade for any more juices because I'm kind of exhausted at this point but trading for supplies could work.

Most def, DIY is the way to go!!! So glad I tried to it. It looked overwhelming on the outside but now thanks to ECF, just another walk in the park.

It really does look overwhelming not to mention expensive. Being a supertaster I really have no faith in liquids anymore, I don't know if I could even DIY anything that I could vape.
