...first report...
I got it in the mail Sat/noon...I had already received a set of BDL IMR14650s from electonicstik.com and charged 'em up...I promptly dropped one in and started vaping the included Black&Mild 85%VG juice(awesome juice and vapor)...all I can say is WOW...I vaped 5ml+ juice yesterday and the PV/Batt combo never slacked up...I'm talking from noon to 5am and never changed the batts...right at 5am, the batts seemed almost as strong as when I started and only right at the end, did I notice any drop off in performance...this morning they were still strong, just not quite as when I started...nothing like the fall off in performance the Rivas show after 5hrs, just a slight drop...I AM IMPRESSED with these batts...I was hoping for 12hrs, and got 18hrs...yeah, I am a happy vaper...the E-Power+ these hi-drains did everything I hoped for...two thumbs up..........

I have read the debates about the E-Power being regulated or not...E-Power claims to be regulated(all add copy I have read) and it sure seems to be to me...I don't know how it does with the stock batts but it sure seemed to be regulated to me with the hi-drains I put into it...maybe the non-regulated issues people have reported had more to do with the (included) batts used than the PV itself...I dunno, imjusayin............

I also have to give a shout out to Jason and the folks at electronicstik.com...I ordered the 2BDL IMR14650 hi-drain batts and a Trustfire TR-003 charger on a Fri, they shipped it on Sat and I received it on Mon...excellent service on Jason&Cos part and to USPS for theirs...two thumbs up to both

p.s. I would be remiss if I didn't give props to Andrew and CCV...I had placed my order Thur a week ago for the E-Power...I also wanted a couple of bundles of Resurrectors which were on backorder...Andrew called to say he was going to go ahead and send the E and he was expecting the Resurrectors in on Tues...since he offers free shipping on all orders and I was not in a big hurry, I told him to hold all and ship together and save himself a buck or two...he shipped it this past Wed...and called to let me know it was on the way...there was a shipping SNAFU on the part of USPS and I let Andrew know...he called again to get specifics and to see what he could do...I ended up getting my order on Sat(a day late according to tracking) and once again, Andrew called that evening to make sure I got it OK...you can't ask anymore of a vendor than that so, two thumbs up to them as well...and his hand-crafted Black&Mild juice is just killer...first hi VG(85%) juice I have tried and it is VERY flavorful, made tons of vapor and wicked just fine in the Resurrectors...good weekend in my house.....mj

madjack,
Are your High-Drain Batteries slightly shorter than the stock batteries? The High-Drains from AvidVaper are 2mm shorter than the stock. They still work well, but it wiggles around ever so slightly in the tube and is kind of annoying. I def love my E-Power tho and I told you Id let you know how the HH .357 atomizer is on the E-Power so I am. Its a pretty bad-... atomizer. Produces a ton of vapor and a VERY clean taste. Really allows you to taste your juices. Im dripping the Black & Mild in it right now and it really brings out the flavors. It does spit some at first, and I did hear that it does, but once you vape it alittle it settles in and hits really nicely. You do definetly have to pull on it harder due to the pump working on vaccum, but I kinda like that. Its much closer to the way you would take a drag on a normal cig. As far as the $22 price tag on it... eh. Its definetly expensive, but I have only been using it for 2 days so Im not going to judge much on that right now. If it does last as long as a lot of people saying it does then it probably will be worth it. I guess Ill have to wait and see..

..rob, the hi drains are a tad shorter...I haven't had any problems with them rattlin'...I'm going to keep the stock batts in reserve and run them now and then...they work pretty good as well...the Black&Mild is pretty rich smoke and in all VG makes a bunch vapor....

...Mr Bass...yes sir, I am one happy vaper...even if I am a long haired redneck and not a Cajun aayyyiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee...back atcha...................

Well dang! Now I feel dumb. Don't worry I'm quite comfortable with the feeling. I figured you saying "AYIEEEE" and being from La...for SURE you HAD to be a Cajun.

Congrats on the e-power. I'm not sure how I missed this thread for the last couple of days, but then again, I miss a lot of things lol. So far, I've only used the stock batteries on mine and I'm happy with them but I may try the high drains when it comes replacement time. If you would, try to keep a close eye on the differences and let us know if you think the high drains are worth the extra dollars. Congrats again and happy vapin' :vapor:

...since I got it last week, I've been rotating thru all 4, on the first round, the hi drains seem to have about a 30% advantage(12+hrVs16+hr) before a real noticeable drop off in performance occurs...neither set has reached shot down discharge in that time frame......that is continuous vape time while vaping 5ml juice...it will be interesting to see if it holds close to those numbers going on...............

The 3.7V switch assemblies on both my E-power units (14500/14650 and 18650) are regulated. How do I know? Well, first of all, a digital voltmeter (I use Mavapes 3-digit LED enclosed version with both male and female 510 connectors) will not read when screwed onto either of my E-powers---when I press the fire button, all I get is flashing LEDs with no voltage readout. This means that the switch assembly runs on MOSFET switching, a little chip that turns the power off and on many times per second (I don't know exactly how many times, but it's fast), rather than applying voltage constantly.

Second, when I use an analog voltmeter (by putting one probe on the positive pole inside the 510 connector and the other probe grounded on the metal around the outside of the connector, then pressing the fire button), I get 3.70V readings exactly from a freshly-charged battery. The battery itself reads 4.2V. As the battery loses juice and cranks out less voltage, the reading on the E-power goes down to a low of about 3.66V, but will remain there until the battery cut-off kicks in and shuts down the unit.

Definitely regulated.
