4th Update On My Yeti

Yeti 510 batteries Just Suck, 10 to 15 Minutes of Max Use.

OK, Time to Email Rob at Altsmoke (where I purchased it) to see if he can help.

FYI! My batteries did not hold a charge long, But I love the 510 / Dura / Titan / Yeti Smokes Great!

I emailed Rob at Altsmoke (where I bought The Yeti) about the batteries not lasting long, to my surprise, he called me!!!

What a great guy (Rob @ AltSmoke.com), I spoke with him for about 20 minutes, we had a great talk, he knows his stuff!

He insisted to replace the Batteries at No Charge!

Rob sent me (2) Replacement 510 batteries, which I just received (2) Days Later!!

Ok The Batts are on the charger now, so I will update about the battery time.

But I can also State Rob @ Altsmoke.com Does Back His Products & Has Great Customer Service!!

Keep Vapin & Thanks Rob at AltSmoke for the Great Customer Service!

I have been vaping my yeti for 10 days now. Major problem, one atomizer died and was replaced by Rob@altsmoke.com. His customer service is right up there with Katy and Jane. This thing is a juice hog, but it is a vapers paradise. It is a pleasure to use. My atomizers only seem to get hot with a fresh battery. The batteries are lasting 3-4 hrs.. Throat hit is awesome! I ahve had very little cart leakage, about the same as my 901. This yeti beats the 901 hands down. Maybe the em901 will be close to the yeti. Would like to get some extra batteries and atomizers just in case, but so far I'm very satisfied.

bumping back from the dead..

Cellmeister, were your 510 issues ever sorted?

Yes All Sorted And All 510's Buried With Full Funeral.... :(

But Let Me Say That Rob @ AltSmoke Took Excellent Care Of The Me & The Situation! :thumb:

Its Been A While, Maybe They Have Improved The 510's, I Don't Know because I Will Not Purchase Another 510. I Will Stay With The Dura With The Better Warranty Which Is Needed For These. (Yes, My Dura's Don't last Long Either).

Keep Vapin!

Got mine last friday, today is monday. Testing it out at work today to see how long it'll last...

First impressions, skeptical. Didn't seem to hit right away, fully charged. I would get a throat hit, but very low vapor. That seems to be the theme here with these. I'm using ry4 right now.

These things were supposed to be producing clouds from what I've read. So called "vapor monsters". I don't get much more than my 901 blew. Of course this is with only using the carts. There's no issues with being sure the atomizer is burning the juice either. Wondering if they need to be broken in?

I'm a little nervous about dripping with these for some reason, maybe it was because of the noises my atomizer was making... we'll see.

I got mine Saturday. 2 kits with manual batteries and USB passthrough with battery.

So far, they seem to be OK. Vapor production is not quite as good as everyone had been crowing about in all the reviews I had seen before buying. In fact, I think my 901 makes better vapor, and the taste is much better. The 510 seems to be a 'drier' vapor...just not as thick and rich as the 901.

The battery life seems to be normal. I am getting around 1 1/2 hours, and I vape pretty hard. The manual batteries contribute to this I am sure, after reading of others problems with the batteries activating on their own.

The cart leakage is a pisser though. It makes a damn mess if you lie it down for any period of time.

My verdict? Still undecided if its my new favorite, but so far so good.

Wow. Sounds like a lot of you are having bad luck... I must say for myself, that I love my joye510. I bought two kits, but Im saving one for a friend. Mine works perfectly. I did notice a rigged rim on the cartridge and this does seem to cut back the amount of liquid that gets into mouth. Ive dripped and topped off cartridges, and have also used the teabag method. It has been consistently producing more vapor than 901 and my bf thinks its smoother too. The batteries last about five hours, but I dont vape more than 2 ml a day...

    Thanks for the update, cellmeister.

I've got to say, I really like it on the USB passthrough, but...seems way inconsistent and can't get decent throat hits off the batteries (auto) for the life of me, even using 36MG RY4 cut to 24MG. I've ordered some manual batteries, and some spare (extra) attys, will mix it up a bit with different juices and the manual batteries when they arrive, and see if it improves off the passthrough or not.

the 8h charge is nonsense on lithium ion batteries. i don't get where the manufacturers always dig that out.
    Charging lithium-ion batteries (BU12)

There is only one way to charge lithium-based batteries. The so-called 'miracle chargers', which claim to restore and prolong batteries, do not exist for lithium chemistries. Neither does super-fast charging apply. Manufacturers of lithium-ion cells have very strict guidelines in charge procedures and the pack should be charged as per the manufacturers "typical" charge technique.

Lithium-ion is a very clean system and does not need priming as nickel-based batteries do. The 1st charge is no different to the 5th or the 50th charge. Stickers instructing to charge the battery for 8 hours or more for the first time may be a leftover from the nickel battery days.

I did the 8hr initial charge on the 510 batteries. And the batteries are crap...just like the 901 batteries. People who use these batteries and say they last 4 hrs are very mild vapers. My batteries last me an hour tops with moderate use. BUt I take long hard drags. There was a thread where the gentleman thought the batteries he was using on another device where very long lasting...they lasted him 11hrs. Well if you can make a 180mah battery last 11hrs.... then the battery isn;t special you just don't vape that much.

Agreed, they have...gives good hit right until they start flashing, as well.
For some reason, also seems better draw..the auto batteries just seem to be crap from my experience and others, both autos were dead within 2 days moderate use. USB Passthrough or manual batteries = bliss. :)

Are you guys with battery problems doing the recommended 8 hour initial charge? I have read that it's important. I have also read that people have only charged them for a couple hours initially and are still getting anywhere from 2-4 hours vaping life.

Yes on the initial charge before the autos crapped out. Battery life just isn't there, really. Manual batteries give me perhaps 2 hours relatively heavy vaping, but are consistent until they need recharging. Regardless, I'm with the other poster - Li ions are a different battery than the older ones, and none of these chargers coming with the e-cigs are 'intelligent' nor trickle charging for maintenance AFAIK.

The manual batteries - short life, but thumbs up, much better overall. Due to the cart size, the batteries simply aren't all that long, they're actually shorter than an M401 battery (but slightly wider).

I took a look at their website. I like 8 color icig kits. One battery and carts. No mention of atomizer. Includes charger. It does say "two batteries" but when you click on one to check it out, it says one battery? For 99.00 per kit, but if you buy two kits you get one free kit plus free shipping. Are their carts atomizers as well?
No they are not cartomizers, the attys suck and you have to draw so hard your cheeks hurt. The tobacco flavor is good and the batteries last 1 hour and die in 2 weeks. enough said? Their product is inferior, their legal ballz are enormous. Kudos for their audacity. Just wish it was a better product in the legal battle. PS the carts have a q tip size cotton and hold less than 2 drops of liquid and to drip one must aim carefully as the heating element is an inch below the steel of the atomizer. I paid $150.00 for one atty, 2 batteries ,a charger and 5 carts. One thing I will give them credit for.....I found out there is a better way without analogs. My yenti and I are in love forever.
