O.k., I really do like using my Dura. I know some other purchasers were underwhelmed, but this whole e-cig business is very subjective, or I just got a good one. Vapor, draw, battery life, lung punch were all good once I broke it in. But now I must report, after all of three weeks of use, that one of the batteries has died. Guess I'll see how Janty's vaunted customer service is. Arrgghh...I hope this is just the birthing pains of a new product--yes, I know, that's the common refrain of the e-cig consumer.

Janty customer service is top-notch. My dura is still going strong after the same three weeks of use... it is the only e-cig I use that is still working :thumb:

When I had purchased the Dura I had purchased a mini fogger along it. After I tried the Dura I wanted to return the mini fogger... so Jeff sent me another Dura in exchange for the mini fogger. Guess what, I had paid the old promotional price for the mini fogger and he did not ask for any price difference or shipping!

With customer service like that, I aint going any place else... maybe occasionally for some juice ;-)

Here is my experience: I received my order jan 26 and one of the battery is already dead. I did charged it as instructed in the manual , on the 27 it worked for about an hour that is it. When I put it on the charger it blinks and light goes green not red. When I try to puff nothing happens light does not go on. On Jan 28th Battery will work if I inhale like Michael Phelps but not every time also both of my atomizers get extremely hot after just two short puffs, they dry up the cartridge and I don't feel any difference what flavor I smoke it all tastes like a metal. Liquid is always leaks from where cartridge meets atomizer. When it worked throat heat was very very mild like Virginia slims ultra light not even close to my 901. Contacted Jeff at Janty will see what happens.

Jeff said my new battery is on the way but there was no response about juice and atomizer problem.

jan.29 Jeff wrote : We are aware of the leaking problem with the cartridge but it does seem to improve. We've also made a slight modification to our newest cartridges that will address this problem as well. He is sending me 4 new boxes free of charge. I will post review when I get them.
So far costumer service is great !!

Seems like the DURA takes some time to break in. Now 2 weeks, & I got a good grip on its function. Especially not taking primer puffs. It seems to choke the battery a bit. Just a nice relaxed long steady draw. Ya cant rush this device. Vapor is huge, & the Janty juice is very good stuff. Jeff got a new ship in batteries, so hopefully there will not be any more issues. I welcome the cart redesign on leakage, but it's not that big of a deal to me. Just dont overfill the thing. Also be carful with dripping. too much drip will find it's way down to the battery, & then ya cross your fingers if it'll dry up & start up again. Taking a few soft drags on the battery alone helps clear the system. I do that at battery change intervals.
Bottom line . . Needs a bit of break in, & then the DURA is an awesome device. Well engineered, smokes great, & cart capacity is incredible. Just top it off every now & then to keep things fresh. My biggest want is a pass through, of which Jeff told me that Janty is looking at that, & may even already have one in the works. Customer service is bar-none . . but we all knew that.
DURA ROCKS!

Canadian Customs is the only place I have EVER had a problem. They denied me entry once just for giving me an answering the question “Why do you want to go to Canada?” I answered, “For a vacation and possibly looking for a sponsor for a job.” That was it I was kicked out. And on top of it they dismantled one of my cigs (Eclipse analog) they pulled one of the coals out of my cig and didn’t bother to tell me. So when I lit up I found out the hard way… Coughing and gagging. The American side said “Looks like you are the victim of a Canadian power trip.” Canadian customs is probably still scratching their heads looking at it going “Gee I wonder what that wired little black pen is?..... You’re supposed to what with it and it does what?!?... That can’t be right, we need some more opinions on this thingy.” They will eventually figure it out and send it on its way. They don’t seem to be the most enlightened bunch, so it may take awhile. Best of luck-Devon

We buy from a different distributor in Europe, the replacement parts arrived, but not very promptly. Still doesn't matter if the batteries fail after a few days. I'm not alone in having problems with the Dura. Some people are reluctant to criticise Janty on this forum, I'm not. For my £110 I got a e-cig that is neither durable or reliable. The case / charger is tacky junk that doesn't work. A triumph of marketing over substance, more fool me for parting with my money.

Its fairly shocking if you've had 4 batteries all faulty and dying in the same way. Could the atomiser or charger be suspect? I'd have thought they would have been better off replacing the whole thing.

Perhaps, but to be honest I'm sick fed up with it. It will be mounted in a frame and any time I feel like buying Janty again, I shall gaze on it and think "Don't be a bloody fool":)

I love my PCC. It has freed me from the tether of the power cord. Mine works quite well. As for the batts well, my first two are quirky at best. I have the replacements on the way. (Thanks Jeff) I will see how they do.
The customer service is excellent especially considering how swamped Jeff seems to be. As I and others have said before, as with any first run electronic product expect some bugs and malfunctions. That is why the warranty is there. If you don’t want to deal with the possibility of bugs wait until they are all worked out.
