Hi Tim,
Cool! Thanks for the info and I read your post on the other thread. I'm still deciding.
Karl,
Just FYI. I've now tried a Cisco
901 Low Resistance Atomizer
that I got from Clouds of Vapor on the batteries that come with the
RS808D-1 Starter Kit from Vapor Junction and they screw on fine.
Thank God I also bought a Drip Tip with the atomizer. I didn't know that the atomizer, and the cartridge that is shown attached to it, would NOT come with any filler. I was totally confused about how to use the damn thing. So, since I bought the drip tip, I just decided to try that. Works very good.
(Also a bit disappointing is that I called Clouds of Vapor on Saturday, October 30, and left a message about being confused about my second order with them and left my number. I also said I would try back Monday if they weren't there on the weekends. I called and left a second message on Monday, November 1, about finally realizing that the atomizer needed a filler, and that I also determined that they didn't come with them; and also about a problem with the atomizer working on a standard KR808. I have never had any phone call or reply from Clouds of Vapor so far. NONE! I'm a bit disappointed because I love a couple of their juices I've now tried and would hate to not do business with them because of this other, non-juice, sour taste.)
I get more vapor with that atomizer than I do with the CE2 v4 cartos, but I'm still happy with those cartos, too. I suppose the atomizer is burning a bit hotter since it is low res, but I don't feel the juice taste is diminished at all. I NEVER thought I would be, but I have been doing mostly dripping in the 901 atomizer all this week, and hardly using the CE2 cartos at all.
I also bought 10
CE2 808D-1 / 901 XL Cartomizers ( Pack of 5 ) ( Stainless Steel ) Rev. 4 from Vapor Junction. Their price of $9.95 (less 10% for ECF10 coupon) is best price I've seen.
The only problems I've had is that the CE2 cartos I bought previously (5 black XL's from COV, and 5 standard ones that came with my first RS808D-1 starter kit from Vapor Junction), seem to be having trouble screwing onto the batteries in the new RS808D-1 starter kits. They are really tight. In fact, I broke the end off one brand new battery trying to tighten it on and off and attempting to force the threads to cut further. They were very close. I guess I got too gorilla-ish. But, the CE2's that came with my new order (the extras and the one's in the starter kit from VJ), and the 901 atomizer from COV didn't have that tight-thread problem.
The 901 atomizer, however, will not screw down far enough to work with two standard KR808D-1 batteries I got from Vapor Kings a couple weeks ago. Wait.... Actually, it screws down all the way, but just won't make an electrical connection. I think that this is a known issue, and that the people that make the KR808D-1 batteries are working on it. Since the 901 atomizer works with the RS808D-1 batteries, I feel the problem has to be with the KR808D-1 batteries.
GL,
Tim
P.S. Travis, at Vapor Junction, tells me now that the RS808 starter kit batteries are 380 mAh, versus 280 mAh for the KR808D-1 standard and XL. This seems to fit pretty closely with the battery life my wife and I are getting from both types.
I sure wish they made a PCC that the longer batteries would fit in and close.
