When I'm looking to pick up a new product I always check YouTube for reviews. E cig reviews are terrible. They're all 14 minutes long and have a dramatic unboxing. Then they describe every inch of the device. The. They show you what else they're using. Then they try it and follow it up with the same catch phrases. "Nice draw. Great vapor production. Etc." They're all overly positive. It's awful. Alright I'm done ranting. Good morning guys.

Personally I like them. OK, the unboxing can be skipped but I like to see the parts something is made up of, why it is good or bad, how to build on them, the reviewers take on how they vape, etc. but I also find many of them entertaining as well.

Fair enough. But most of the time they have clearly been given the product, want more, and are afraid to say anything negative.

Agree with the OP. Most of them could be easily cut in half if they dropped telling us about everything else they have used before they got "this!", two minutes of thanking everyone who likes their videos, reminding us they have a twitter account, pimping for the place they got the thing from - that they still haven't started discussing yet, a reminder that their next video will not be until some time next month - if the operation goes well. If it doesn't go well you can still get an update about what didn't go well on their Twitter feed. And stuff like that there...

That, and shaky, blurry video with bad lighting? Yeah - good stuff.

AGREE THEY COULD BE shortened to 3-4 MINUTES AND THAT WOULD COVER MOST THINGS..

I am afraid that most reviewers want to become celebrities or think so anyway and get free stuff..!

The worst IMO are the juice reviews.. Juice taste is so subjective who can say. Give all of us a break and please stop making them videos. Lol.

Suppliers (online stores should have REVIEWS listed by the item) !!
They usually dont want to list these types of reviews from actual buyers because most of the juice tastes like ****.

Do we really need another tube mod or rda? Really? Or another clone? enough is enough... Off my rant now.. Continue as always.. :)

Okay..... I'll play the Devil's advocate. :2cool:

Stop looking for and watching the video's if you are so bothered. Can you make a better video?

If you still have to research, learn how to use the fast-forward button/slider.

Full stop.

Cheers

Cheers to you as well.

Now. This is silly. I've seen movies I don't like. I won't avoid movies. I really am hopeful that some can be useful. So far, nope. And I have no interest in making a better video, given I'm the one looking for the reviews. But to answer your question, I have a laptop, a studio apartment, and the ability to use the words "cloud...production...and beast."

But maybe you're right. Perhaps I'll avoid them.

Good luck on your quest!

Oh, by the way...... Avoid "P-o-m-p-e-i-i" movie at all cost:facepalm:. You can thank me later!

You can always welcome to ask here about what you are interested in.

Enjoy your day and cheers.

:toast:

Which is why I love this forum. People aren't afraid to tell you if a product blows.

They are what they are and if they were just technical specs they'd be boring as h*** so I like the fact they impart their personal impressions. There are reviewers I trust so I watch their vids and have learned a great deal.

There will always be someone out there that knows more about any given thing than I do even if it is a topic I think I am well versed in. When I started vaping watching those vids shortened my learning curve from years to weeks and, again in my opinion, watching reviews by people that have experienced many many many devices (free or not) leads to credibility in that they have been there, done that. Some of them get gear for free, sure, but even when they have been given items to review I have seen many vids where they blatently state that the product is total junk and advise against spending money on them.

If I were limited to just the knowledge and advice from my local B&Ms I would know about Kanger Evods, PTs, Minis, twist batteries, and maybe MVP 2s and that's it.

Points all very well made.. I think we all get something out of most of the reviews that are well done and honest..
I think we are mainly just making harmless fun of the reviewers more than anything else with this thread. Kind of satirical in nature..:p
I don't find anything wrong in ppl getting stuff to review for free.. I still think the juice reviews should be banned,,

The juice reviews are pretty pointless as taste is very subjective. I searched for "favorite ejuice" when I stared vaping and ended up buying a bunch of stuff I didn't like at all but then I had more to compare it to. I think when people do reviews they should at least compare the juice to others that are widely known as a reference point, i.e. "the juice reminds me of X but is spicier" or "sort of like Y the bacco taste is much more muted" kind of thing. Would be helpful to me at least.

Some reviewers are overly biased (got the product free) while others are just excited (lapse of judgement when reviewing) and will review the product without giving it a good 2 week trial. There are a few reviewers who give honest reviews. Check out RIP Trippers (most lenient of the reviewers), PBussardo, and GrimmGreen.
