I would prefer that they were shorter as well. I don't need to watch the unboxing of an item, however I do remember a time when youtube reviews were just starting (yes, I'm that old) and the first pieces of technology started being reviewed. The first time someone did an unboxing it was a massive hit. So, there is a tradition aspect behind that. I personally never saw why it was a big deal back then, and I don't now.

I avoid must other reviewers except Rip Trippers. Something about the guy I like.
This "screaming" guy freaks me out. It's like he's vaping 100mg juice. 8-o.

Grimm Green will swoon over a Blu ecig if he got it for free.

Busardo is my go-to reviewer.

For lots of laughs and a dose of reality I like Twisted420 :)

I've tried to watch RipTripper's videos. It's not that I don't like them or think they're biased. something about the way he edits them that make me feel like I have motion sickness (lol). I just can't want one very long.

But yea, when I first started vaping I was also annoyed with many of the reviewers I found. Then once I found people like PBrusardo, Scott & later Todd I found the value in youtube reviews. Others I ran into during my early days were very biased, uninformative dull.

Sorry but I love YouTube. You can fast forward through some of the unboxing and get to the good stuff. I find that I like the reviews of some of the more well-known people. Pbusardo, GrimmGreen, RipTripper and so many others. The easiest thing is just to ask people on here. heehee I value their input so much. Continued success and happy vaping.

As someone who just started a review channel i'm a bit surprised by the backlash :D In my own personal experience I love the long videos. I want and expect to know everything about a product before I buy it. But the good thing is that there are sooooooo many diffirent reviewers out that, with different styles and reviewing techniques. You just have to find one you like. :D

I agree, the unboxing ritual is totally unnecessary, and yes most reviews last far too long. I'd say 5 minutes is ample time for most reviews. Another thing that bugs me are reviewers who don't seem to inhale their vape (one of the guys mentioned above is in that category). I know its just me, but in my mind those people aren't really vaping, so I find it hard to take them seriously.

I don't mind long videos as long as they serve a purpose for me as the viewer. The ones that drive me crazy are ones where the reviewer blathers on & on about things that have nothing to do with the product &/or where they vape for 2 minutes straight.

I'm also not very forgiving if they have camera focus issues. A blurry camera gives me a headache.

AGREE THEY COULD BE shortened to 3-4 MINUTES AND THAT WOULD COVER MOST THINGS..

I am afraid that most reviewers want to become celebrities or think so anyway and get free stuff..!

The worst IMO are the juice reviews.. Juice taste is so subjective who can say. Give all of us a break and please stop making them videos. Lol.

Suppliers (online stores should have REVIEWS listed by the item) !!
They usually dont want to list these types of reviews from actual buyers because most of the juice tastes like ****.

Do we really need another tube mod or rda? Really? Or another clone? enough is enough... Off my rant now.. Continue as always.. :)

I tend to agree, I don't take juice reviews too seriously but...if you haven't seen it you really should watch PBusardos's review of crab juice...one of the funniest things I've ever seen!

It's YouTube, folk, not RKO. Sure, these folks aren't professional, and sometimes it shows (glaringly), but they're doing what they think is best for them at that time.

I even appreciate the really crappy ones, because at least they're making an effort. Which is more than my lazy self is doing to promote vaping.

There are three reviewers that I try to catch pretty regularly, and maybe a dozen others that I'll catch from time to time if they have something new to showcase.

Sometimes the words don't really do anything for me because I'm just looking for a better view of the product than the three or four pictures (with a HUGE superimposed watermark) on the vendor's website.

I enjoy them where else can you find vaper content entertainment? My local B&M cater to new and beginner vapers and the smoke shops are filled with real smokers that snicker behind my back.

Seeing the product in action is always a better selling point than reading a review, so why not entertain as well.

My favorites are

1. Twisted420: I can handle profanity and he is fearless! Check out his FDA response. For entertainment check out his preview of the hades copper mod.

2. Rip Tripper: Hate him or love him. I find his idea of a good vape coincidence with mine. Dense, warm, with clouds.

3. Busardo : A very technical view and one of the few reviewers that will still review cartomizer tanks.

4.GrimmGreen: Would have been higher if he still did straight up reviews. I find his rambling entertaining.

The key for me is to be entertaining and show me what you think are the pros and cons.

I don't subscribe to any channel--I just search for the product that I want to know about (Aerotank, MVP, Vamo, etc.) and look for the few that I trust and can put up with: GrimmGreen, PBusardo, IndoorSmokers, and Amanda Orcutt. I also tend to watch their list of personal setups, head-to-head comparisons, and general thoughts on the vaping journey so that I have some things to think about other than the echo chamber of my own inner voice.

I am totally annoyed when they are explaining and trying to show details, while the item and his hands are out of camera's view. And they talk and talk... and they say "you see here when we twist this part you can get that in there , and over here you see how it adjust itself..." No, we don't see it, dummy ! But OK, the first time it happens in a video clip I close it and search for another one on the same topic. Do they review their videos before posting ? Approximately out of ten videos I find two or three properly shot.
