I take burpless fish oil capsules. Where they get burpless fish I will never know.

Erm ... :?: that's me flummoxed.

If you ate enough fresh fatty fish or even tinned fish you wouldn't need to take capsules of the burpless or any other kind.

:)

Yeah but then the mercury would make me as mad as a hatter. Then I would just sit around all day listening to political babble on talk radio.
In my state you are only supposed to eat fresh fish about 2 times a month for a healthy adult.

I would imagine fresh fish in Kentucky is probably not from the ocean saltwater fish. Freshwater fish tend to gather all the bad things lurking in a freshwater environment. Storm water runoff in lakes, rivers and streams, is fairly toxic. Some freshwater species like catfish and other rough fish consumed have a tendency to build up these toxins in their flesh.

I buy mostly frozen fish from god only knows where. I hope they are OK to eat because I eat fish 2-3 times a week. Hmm, maybe I should invest in a mercury test kit

The only fish I eat with any regularity is salmon... and they don't grow in GA. :D So it's all frozen from WA or Alaska or some other place with cold water.

They added Vit D to milk to facilitate calcium absorption -- with inadequate Vit D, your body cannot absorb calcium very readily from your diet. With insufficient calcium, your bones will go soft and porous, and eventually you'll run into heart trouble because of the electrolyte imbalance.

I take vitamin D every day and my last physical showed an insufficiency (28.4 when the bottom of the normal range is 30 or above). I talked to my doc about it and she asked if i drank. I told her I drank 3-4 beers every single day. She told me to stop for 3 months a get retested. Apparently, drinking causes vitamin d problems because of impaired absorbtion even if you eat healthy and take vitamins.

So I quit drinking and when I got retested there was a huge rebound. Not to mention I lost 13 pounds and my blood pressure dropped. I found so many benefits from not drinking for 3 months that I decided to quit indefinitely.

Awwww. Most of my life I spent growing up was in northern kentucky (Some was NY, NJ, OH and across the pond in a danged desert). We ate fish at least 3 times a week. At times, we ate every night if we pulled it from the lake.

Seriously soak up the rays as much as you can.

Can't tell you how many mercury thermometer I broke in my mouth as a kid. I am probably full of that crap.

Fat is not the issue. I have also lost 30 lbs since starting vaping due to loss of wanting to snack. I buy no Little Debby snacks now. I am at 167 lbs. And no fat. Maybe little debbie junk was full of vitamin D?
LOL

I'd be afraid to read the ingredients for debbie.

It used to be worse, regulations have cleaned up the water a lot. A few areas are still do not eat fish zones.
Damned pesky EPA!

I heard the EPA found catfish in Kentucky vaping some Custards Last Stand, an everybody knows that has diketones.

I drink virtually no alcohol. I have the bitter gene and alcohol tasted horrible. I will drink a few beers maybe 24 per year and maybe 1 pint of hard liquer in mixed drinks in the course of a year. I like the effect but the taste is bad with alcohol.

Post hoc, ergo, propter hoc. Must be the vape.
Not saying that at all just bringing this up in case others notice this in conjunction with vaping. This is the first time in my life I have been known to be D deficient.
Maybe a connection, but I am not saying there is.
