I realize that im using a totally different setup, but on my rebuildable tank atomizer (rta), i liberally soak my wicks and coils before i put the tank back together. Different device but same principle. The wicking must be totally and thoroughly soaked before you vape or you will get a dry, scorched cotton taste.

Thank you!
I will do excat same thing/process with new coil.
Welcome and glad you joined.
I think you get the idea, the burnt taste can be caused by a dry wick within the coil. If your wick is not fully saturated/soaked in e liquid, the wick material will burn causing a burnt taste. Your battery should put out a constant power output and is designed to not burn the wick material when the wick is fully saturated in a perfect world. We do not live in a perfect world. You have received good advice.

you also could have just "lucked out" and received a bad batch of coils.

I've gotten a whole box of bad ones before, well, where 4 are bad and only the 5th one works.

This happens. Does't mean the next batch will be bad. Dunno if anyone brought this up or not.

You may want to let the coil soak in the ejuice for 10-20 minutes if necessary.
