I Have No Desire to Upgrade

Nothing wrong with being happy with the basics! I used eGo's for about a year before I finally bought a VV/VW (zMax) just out of curiosity...and confusion over ohms lol (with the zMax, I don't have to worry about it, it adjusts to whatever I put on it). That said, when people ask me about vaping, I always always always recommend they get an eGo kit. As long as they're quitting smoking, what they do from there is up to them:) I recommend the eGo's because so many regular smokers start with cigalikes and it's just not enough "oomph" or whatever for them to completely switch over, they're disappointed in battery charge, etc. So smokers who ask my advice, I give them info/links about eGo's.

vaping is an individual experience, and I don't think any of us should make someone feel bad because they're not getting the latest and greatest. It's like any other thing really...whatever works for you:) Kudos to ANYONE who quits smoking, with or without vaping!

Not to mention, I'm helping my friend pick out the right kit for her dad, who wants nothing to do with anything other than something that looks like a cigarette, doesn't want to have to mess with juice, etc. And if he does use them to quit, it's likely he'll never "upgrade" to anything more than that. It's entirely individual preference. I have another friend who has been trying to get her husband to switch to ecigs since I started vaping, but he would only do cigalikes. They just weren't enough for him as a two-pack-a-day smoker, so he gave up. A few months back, he was diagnosed with his second bout of throat cancer (this time much more virulent than he had a few years ago), and he's now using eGo's, which seem to be working better for him.

I think I am one of the rare people who vape but have never really smoked. My husband is in the Navy and didn't start smoking until he hit a sea-going command. I'm an asthmatic, so it really bothered me on multiple levels. I did the research and found the e-cigs for him, both for health reasons and because it was easier and cheaper to take juices on subs than a carton of cigarettes. I decided to try it myself as a sign of support using a substantially lower nicotine level. On a side note, I've found it's helped with some of my mental health symptoms that my meds didn't cover. We started with cig-a-likes, upgraded to the bigger 510s when they came out since the smaller ones were dying too fast. When the eGos started hitting the scene we switched to a couple of eGo 650 mAh passthroughs, and the only reason I'm not using my original battery is because I gave it to a friend to help her quit. The battery I got to replace it was a 900 mAh eGo passthrough. We tried various tanks, but after trying the various types of ViVi Novas we decided to stick with those (hubby uses the big ones and I use the minis). I've started using an RBA simply because I switch flavors a lot and regular atomizers don't cut it for me, plus I make wire jewelry as a hobby so it's not a big leap for me. We picked up a couple of Diablo e-pipes for Christmas last year since he did smoke a pipe for a while, and while he still uses his I don't really use mine since I can't drip with it. We are considering going up to iTaste VV/VW 3.0s, but only because his original eGo (which is probably about 4 years old) is starting to die. We're also considering building our own e-pipes as a couple activity. Probably the one thing I am never satisfied with is drip tips. If I had the money I would have a HUGE collection of drip tips, as it stands I have to keep it tame.
