Okay, so I ordered one, but I'm sorely disappointed with the video on your site Steve. I bought it based on your CAD drawing with black rubber gripping (as it would appear), etc. Is the model you're showing in that video the final product? No black, etc., just a long silver tube to hold the batteries? Can anyone say "GG"?

That was the prototype- NOT THE FINAL PRODIGY! Steve mentioned in the video that what you were seeing was the proto-type- and he also showed the first version that was almost 2 inches longer. The final version looks like the drawing. Hope this helps!

no .. that is NOT the final product ... which was one reason he was not eager to do the video .... but he mentioned that in (several) threads ...

The Final product is coated with a Durable Black Anodizing on the main body of the unit and the end caps have a clear anodized coating. The Black main body of the unit is also etched with the Prodigy logo:)

No "Rubber Gripping" to my knowledge.

Thanks Casey and all those that replied following my post! As you all know, there is so much info in this thread (and others) and I just didn't read through it all before making my own post. I'm very glad that Steve's planning to make it more accurate to the drawing! I anticipate it's release as it seems like I ordered ages ago! My order is number 16340 and was placed on May 10th... Cheers, and thanks for your posts! :)

Prodigy is now being powder coated black, rather than anodized. Black was not holding, so now the Ship date appears to be Thursday June 11th according to Steve.

Here is a pic...
