heh, i figured it would be akin to a low cart. i think that's the hardest thing to really explain to someone though, is that TASTE.

i know when i was a little newb, i was always worried about smoking it dry, not knowing what taste i should be getting, especially since real cigs taste so...gross :) only thing i've likened it to is catching a taste of car exhaust if you walk behind one. just sour and burnt and coarse.

but i digress.

maybe we need to come up with some custom dummy mouthpieces now? :)

obi, that's pretty sharp looking, at least the concept :) i need to get a creative streak for something other than carving out foam inserts for carrying cases.

Thanks,,
im waiting for the prodigy before i try making one.
it looks like it would work in my mind and on paper, but i wont find out until i actually make it. lol
i think alot of us made custom cases..
i know it was fun to make a foam custom case for my pilot, and then i ended up using a small usb best buy case anyway,,
now some of us will be looking for ways to make a case for the prodigy,,lol

An 801 Atomizer @ 3.7 can't be too bad if you've got a cartridge, right? I'm just taking as guess, though.

I ordered a couple 18650 batteries (my current batteries are rated at 3.7 v, so I'm guessing this should be alright).

Yeah, that should be fine, it should perform great.

First thing I'm trying when my prodigy gets here is 2 18350 (pipe batteries). I'm going to bombard an older atomizer with 7.4 volts, you know, to see what happens.

[edit] doh... I guess I need to trade my sunglasses in for a set of reading glasses. Never mind.

Still haven't decided which way I'm gonna go ....18650, Cuz I do like the flavor to be pronounced, with moderate throat hit.......the tenergy crc123a 900mahs to take advatage of the LiFePO4 long life technology and get more throat hit... or the 18350's for their increased rating of 2400 mahs and likelyhood of a full day on one set @6.5-7.0v...

Dunno, will prolly end up with a few 18650's to start and then try the 18350's.

Walrus, You mentioned earlier that 3.7v would produce more vapor and taste vs. a standard battery....what brings you to that conclusion?
I have the Janty KB and as I understand it... the standard batt's are 3.6v / 180mah. Do you have information that conflicts with that?

Perhaps I'm wrong... but I haven't seen 18350's with a mAh rating that high... I've seen 1200 mAh ones... and when run in series you'd get the increased voltage (7.4v) but the capacity would remain the same... you wouldn't add the capacities together unless run parallel... then you wouldn't get the voltage increase.

No, I was incorrectly recalling that standard batts were lower voltage, but they aren't... just smaller capacity. I was thinking of a discussion about regular 'over the counter' batteries.

I've been wrong before and I will be again! And I'll usually admit when I'm wrong :p

Guess I knew that, now that you mention it. Musta got carried away with doubling everything when using 2 cells that I couldn't stop myself. Thanks for catching that, will have a definite impact on my decision.8-o

Yer not alone there Walrus. Seems like I was wrong once before, just been so long ago I dont remember if I admitted to it or not.:D

Thanks again. I appreciate the help

After much deliberation I jumped in with both feet. Like a few others, couldn't decide between configurations so I opted for them all (801/901/3.7v/6v) + manual pass-through and a few extra attys for good measure! :D

The Goods

Now all I have to look forward to is the future PS atty with hopefully more lifespan and less grief than existing models. Thank god I have a fresh unopened 24mg PS sampler in my e-juice stockpile, just waiting for that Prodigy to arrive :)

Current E-Liquid Stockpile

Looking forward to more Prodigy V1 video porn from PS! Good times!

Thanks to all at PS for making my vaping experience that much more pleasurable - right down to my PS 901 starter kit.
